Tom Brady: My Left Shoulder “Is Sore As Sh*t”

Tom Brady was talking about one of his favorite topics tonight: training and body maintenance.
Speaking on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio, Brady speculated that he’s thrown around 500,000 passes in his day, and he said that he’s calculated the math in past years so he’s not just guessing.
All that wear and tear on Brady’s right arm is astounding. But shared tonight that his arm feels perfect — though his other arm feels more like a 44-year-old that of a 44 year old athlete.
“A lot of throwing, and ironically, the shoulder that I’m always sore in is my left shoulder not my right shoulder. So explain that,” Brady said. “The one that’s done all the work, it’s not sore. You know, I think because I take a lot of hits on my [left shoulder]; I actually don’t give it the kind of TLC it needs with my treatments. I keep my arm really pliable, my right arm, and it’s never sore. And my left arm, I don’t and it’s sore as sh*t. So that’s really the result of the TB12 method right there.”
Joe did quite a fist pump when Brady said his throwing arm feels so good. Joe is smelling another 5,316-yard season from Brady in 2022.

@Dew. Sure that’s true but it’s all relative. The Bucs were owning the Eagles on 3rd down in the first half but they turtled when it was appropriate to turtle. How many 3rd and longs in the 2nd half that the Bucs either still ran or threw a short pass to keep the clock moving. I go off the eye test and our offense dominated when the game was in doubt.

Wow. Rams are dominating early on. No Hopkins. I just don’t think AZ has the firepower. Plan on the Rams. We are going to have to do this the hard way. That was a cute effort by the Cards but they are being outclassed in every way right now. They just beat this Rams team. This is a divisional matchup. Origionally wanted the Rams for revenge. After losing Wirfs Im now rooting for the team that has the worser DL, especially if one team looks bad against the run.
For anybody not watching that team is clearly the Cardinals. Not sure how they can win with their DL getting pushed around but they almost just forced a fumble.

Actually the Cards are going to get embarrassed if they don’t stop the run. The Rams are exclusively physically kicking the crap out of the middle of the AZ D. AZ is so shellshocked by the run, they have no pressure when Stafford drops back. This Cards team just got punched in the mouth the whole 1st quarter. Rams are getting some sort of points on this drive. Cards better respond soon or this game is shaping up as another playoff snoozer.

That’s not a TD but it will be after the next play is run. Cards are getting physically beaten right at the LOS on both sides of the ball. The fix to getting back in this game is obvious but wow. This has been a rough showing for a good AZ defense. This seems to come down to McVay > Klingsbury

AZ limped through the end of the season, losing 4 out of their last 5 games. Though the Rams had trouble too, they righted the ship and gained considerable momentum. I wasn’t expecting a competitive game, but this looks worse than I anticipated.

We’ll be playing LA.. it’s the one match-up I’ve been concerned about since the offseason. It’s a horrible match-up even when we are healthy. It’s why I was rooting for the Cowboys yesterday. I was hoping the Packers would take the Rams out like they did last year. Because that’s the one team in the NFC that that has a very good chance of beating us outright.

Meh. I ain’t scared of Stafford in the playoffs. Next week he is going to get a team that can stop the run and when clicking, can make the QB have happy feet. It’s not going to be as easy as those first 2 drives. Doesn’t help when the Cards offense is completely lost. Wow. This game is over. It will take a miracle play for the Cards to get back in this game. Kyler and the offense have no clue at all. Oh I’m kidding. I love King. That man gave all he had to this franchise. Quite frankly all he had was mediocrity when at his best but he provided some memorable film. That game against the Rams in an epic shootout on MNF in Ray Jay was amazing. I still remember that filthy play between he and Dunn when Dunn pitched it back to King. We won that shootout. We are going to beat the Rams next week at Ray Jay also. I guess it wasn’t good enough to be a catch. A washed up AJ Green is not good enough. They would have a shot with Hopkins maybe but the Cards offense got nothing.

Francisco – I’m not saying the Bucs don’t have a chance because of this game, I just don’t like the match-up from the last two regular season loses to the Rams. It’s going to be a really tough matchup, the top 2 teams I didn’t want the Bucs to play were the Saints, if they made it, and then the Rams, both are match-up issues.
The Cards meanwhile were the team I most wanted the Bucs to play – even more so than the Eagles, mainly because they’re insanely streaky, likely we’re seeing tonight.

That MNF game vs the Rams was insane, the most rowdy crowd I’ve ever been a part of, the most fun I’ve ever had at a game. Warren Sapp destroying Kurt Warner on a pick-6, and Lynch killing Marshall Faulk, would be the plays you’d remember, except for of course, what stands out was that awesome King – Dunn – Jacquez Green play.
Man, that game is fun, might go rewatch it again on YouTube instead of wasting time on this game.

Kyler is just a young and extremely streaky passer, as he gets older, he’ll get better. If the Cards want to give up on him, I’ll send over a 1st and Trask, and he can come here and sit on the bench behind Brady for year, learn how to win big games.
But he’s going to be fine long term, and if he isn’t, if he falls apart mentally after this game, then great, that removes the Cards from the NFC powerhouse list for another decade or so.

I was going to mock the Cards for the draw there, but really, that is probably the right thing to do. If they get a TO and it’s 24 or 28-0 the game is even more over than it is now. Go to half-time, regroup, come out and get a TD and then it’s a 2-score game. Yeah, very unlikely to happen, but probably their best chance.

Rod Munch Bosa is playing in that game. And the linebacker as well. Those guys are not gonna miss that game hopefully. I give the 49ers a good chance but it’s on jimmy g to play well.

JimmyJack – Murray isn’t Lamar Jackson and just a runner with a big arm, he can throw it really well, can be very accurate, generally speaking. As he ages, and runs less, he should become a better passer. Again, he’s just a very streaky player and he’s not getting the best coaching. He’d be someone that would really benefit with a coach like Gruden, who is a proven NFL coach with NFL schemes. I’m not a big fan of Gruden for how he destroyed the Bucs, but in terms of a head coach who just needs to teach a player with that talent, how to win big NFL games, I think just getting NFL coaching would be a huge upgrade for Murray. Obviously it’s not going to happen, but if I’m the Arizona owner, I’m getting a new proven HC with an NFL system for Murray before it’s too late.

Francisco – Is Bosa confirmed back? I didn’t hear that. Losing Jimmy G, even if he’s not that good, is still a huge deal as Lance isn’t ready yet, and rookies, going on the road in the playoffs, it never ends well. If Jimmy is good to go, and Bosa is back, then yeah, I think the 49ers have a good chance of knocking off the Packers.

Well no matter what happens win or lose against the rams I will go for any team to knock them out. Don’t want them playing in there home stadium for a Super Bowl and I hate them like I hate the saints. Both rams and saints play dirty and take cheap shots.

The worst part about the Cards getting destroyed like this is that they’re not even playing hard, the Cards aren’t hitting anyone, they’re not making this difficult at all. The Rams are going to be at full healthy probably.

Rod Munch just based off tonight the Rams are doing a really good job of keeping Kyler in the pocket. And he looks freaking horrible dude.
I would say he has a long ways to go to be successful in the postseason……..I havent seen a much Cardinals football but looks like he is one of them guys who buys all this time with his feet a lot. Puts up a lot of nice numbers that way but the soon as you run into a defense that takes away your scramble your left with just a bad QB. Call it the Michael Vick effect.

Our season ends on Sunday.
Rams are just a TERRIBLE MATCHUP for us. Worse than the Saints.
No way our Defense holds this Rams team in check. And no way our Offense puts up a bunch of points on that D. Brady will be sacked multiple times.
This was a WORST CASE SCENARIO for the Bucs to have to play the Rams again.

Jmarkbuc – I’m not a Gruden fan, and I’m not even talking about developing a young guy, although I guess he would be to some extent. My point is you need an NFL coach who can teach NFL fundamentals, a pro style offense, as opposed to his college coach he has now. That, I believe, would eventually make him less streaky, more fundamentally sound, which is what I think he needs. Gruden is just who came to mind, but it could be any offensive minded proven headcoach who runs an NFL pro-style offense.

JimmyJack – That’s literally what being streaky means. It means one week you can be all-world, next week you can look clueless. That’s more about coaching than the player. He’s had pressure in his face all night and has a very poor scheme on top of it. If all you did was watch the Saints / Bucs game from SNF, you’d say Brady stinks, shouldn’t be in the NFL.

Instead you get a run up the middle, followed by a 1 yard pass, down by 28 in the 3rd… Sounds like Leftwich’s dream, if he didn’t have the pesky Arians telling him to open it up.

We will be getting them on a short week for them, traveling cross country, and playing on grass. None of those things are equalizers, but better then a normal week and no travel. And Rams fans don’t travel nearly as well as other teams so it should be a fully throated home crowd. Obviously none of that is meaningful unless we play a great game. I have no doubt our team will be up for the game. Should be a good one.

Guzman. We got production from our other guys. Brady does an excellent job of spreading the ball around.
You might get your dream and see Johnson or Grayson or Brate have a big day. They are certainly capable. But when you got Tom Brady picking apart the other defense you certainly dont need it.
If you wanna worry about something you better start worrying about the right side of our line.

Cutting Gay was another dumb move. You stick with the kid as he loses you two games his rookie year, takes you from 9-7 to 7-9 — and then, after taking the loses, you give up on him.
The shortsightedness when it comes to kickers in this area is unbelievable. Young kickers are going to miss kicks, and they get better in year 2, and if they’re good, will be pro-bowlers by year 3. Literally said that at the time, and it literally happened.
Some of us have been watching football for a long time and we’re good at seeing trends.

Guzman I dont see it with Evans. I seen the Bucs moving Evans all over the field yesterday. That tells me they can move him around and find ways to get him into better matchups……..Their not going to be able to use one coberage to take him out of the game.
And after seeing that I dont think Mike has ever been taken out of a game. The Bucs just happen to have other recievers to go to when Mike eats up all the attention. Now they dont have that and we saw the Bucs do sone different stuff yesterday…….Wierd i didnt heard one person give Byron any props for that.

JimmyJack – We didn’t go from a bad kicker to a good kicker, we went from a rookie kicker with a huge leg who showed a ton of promise, to an old kicker who is solid but also on a slow decline. Nothing against Succop, he’s been a reliable veteran, but the point was, why give up on a young promising guy AFTER taking your lumps. Gay was mostly excellent his rookie year outside of 2 games – history tells you a guy with a huge leg, who shows good accuracy, is very likely going to get better.
But the only reason I’m talking about Gay is someone else brought him up, but mainly because this game stinks, need something to talk about.

For those that falsely believe Ramsey can lock down Evans, go on youtube and look for, ‘LockUp: Jalen Ramsey vs Mike Evan’s – DB vs WR – 1 on 1’
It’s from the 2020 game, but Evans isn’t have any issues with Ramsey, the only issue is Brady, under pressure, isn’t all that accurate on some of the passes, but Evans is winning all of their 1-on-1 match-ups.

I think they need to hold the rams to at least 24 points to win this game. We shall see. I don’t think the Bucs can get into a shootout with the rams and expect to win like they did in that first game with no defense being played.

The big thing about that Rams game was the Bucs secondary was horrendously bad. They haven’t been horrendously bad lately. A lot of that is scheme as Bowles, prior to this last week, had been playing a ton of zone. I’d expect that to continue.

That said, at least we got home field advantage and they got a short week.

Guzman and oh Gronk had like 20 yards yesterday. Mike had 117 which is very good but far from the whole offense. If you really really really want a #3 you outta look at Lenny.
I also would not mind seeing Goo Bernard get more looks. He os excellent as a pass catcher. At least he was yesterday.

There’s TWO THINGS the GOAT has done consistently over a quarter century of QB football play both consciously and subconsciously:
1. Brady has strengthen, conditioned, pampered and protected his RIGHT arm and shoulder like no other QB in history, on the other hand,
2. Brady has not done the same with his LEFT arm and shoulder. Instead, he has used his left side as a SHIELD to protect the right arm and shoulder. Specifically, to the extent he could, Brady has always tried to make sure that it was always his left side which took the hardest abuse. Be it by turning to absorb an imminent hit or by turning his body so that his left side would be driven into the turf.
Tom Brady is too smart not to have realized this long ago.
