Report: Leonard Fournette On Track To Play Sunday

January 21st, 2022

Update.

Although this report today was very cautious in its presentation, it seems Bucs running back Playoff Lenny might see the field Sunday against the Rams.

On NFL Network, NFL insider Ian Rapoport claimed that Playoff Lenny, who has been sidelined for a month with a bad hamstring, should play Sunday barring something unforeseen.

“If he gets through the week OK, I would expect him to be out there,” Rapoport said.

Now we heard last week, all last week, that Playoff Lenny would be good to go against the Eagles. That never happened. Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians told Sara Walsh of NFL Network the morning of the game that Playoff Lenny tweaked the injured hamstring.

Rapoport said last week Playoff Lenny couldn’t go full speed and Arians was uncomfortable with that and shut him down.

Hopefully he’s able to go. But if not at least we got some good time in with Vaughn and gio. And Bell still waiting in the wings if needed.

Great, though I’m holding my breath until I read something about Jensen Wirfs. I’m cautiously optimistic on the former, the latter seems like a stretch.

Just hearing, Trifs is very doubtful!! Hope Tom is watching this crap this morning, everyone picking Rams. I like the underdog role, go BUCS!

I just don’t see how someone can play with a high ankle sprain. I realize there are degrees, but high ankle sprains are far more serious than the more common ankle sprains. There’s a world of difference between your flexibility in the short-term, let alone the pain threshold.

I don’t think Wirfs was a question. I do have believe in Jensen though and that’s Brady’s second hand man behind Gronk.

  7. Canabuc Says:

High ankle sprains in RB or WR I agree.
However a lineman is not required to run and cut as much.
As long as he can hold leverage at point of attack he should be able to play.
They have likely been resting him all week for pain and swelling management.
Should have clarity today or tomorrow.
Will be a big loss if he is out.
We have guard depth tackle depth? Not so much.

  8. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We will need a steady dose of short passes/screens to Lenny, Gio, Keyshawn & Bell……
I’m thinking Brate will show up big in this game…..

  9. Donald Stanley Says:

Letting a injured player play sometimes will hurt the team more than it will help it got to be careful

  10. Canabuc Says:

If he is injured and plays bit can’t maintain leverage he will be pulled early. Like when he attempted to return last game.

  11. Proud Bucs Fan Says:

Lots of players coming in nicked up. How many will still be standing in the 4th quarter?

If your out on a boat in the middle of the ocean wtf Bucs going to win Ian…
