Playoff Lenny Has Been Activated

January 22nd, 2022

Playoff ready?

If he can play, he likely will.

Per NBC Sports Edge, Playoff Lenny was activated today from the injured reserve list. That means if team doctors, trainers and Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians deem Playoff Lenny ready to rock and roll, he will play tomorrow.

It’s difficult for Joe to believe the Bucs would activate Playoff Lenny if they didn’t consider him ready.

[UPDATE:] To make room for Playoff Lenny, the Bucs released Le’Veon Bell, per Jenna Laine of ESPN.

Desperate times call for desperate measures… no point playing safe no more.
We may need no one after tomorrow.
    Good decision.

  2. Bucs Orlando Says:

I think they had to activate him by today if was going to play again this year maybe? Do the IR rules mandate he either comes back by today or is done flr the season? Or was today just the last day for this week?

  3. David Says:

He’s playing. Yesterday, or possibly Thursday, on Instagram he made a comment about how he’ll see us all on Sunday

  4. theghost Says:

love all these hot take articles that are taking the rams, feels just like last year with the saints and packers

  5. David Says:

    Joe
any word on JPP? I saw something that said he was questionable because of “personal” reasons

  6. David Says:

Like every NFL game, ever, it’s going to come down to the
O line vs the D line on both sides of the ball

  7. Joe Says:

any word on JPP? I saw something that said he was questionable because of “personal” reasons

Unless he pops something on social media, likely won’t hear anything until the active gameday roster is released at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow.

  8. adam from ny Says:

    lenny fuggedaboutit is back…

    everything’s gonna be okay now

  9. Z28 Says:

Shoulda released bitch ass rojo and kept bell

  10. Joshua porter Says:

Jpp put on social media a Lil while ago about letting his play speak for him tomorrow.. ( something to that effect). So I do think he’s playing tomorrow

  11. Dyno-White ! # 45 Says:

Grind out 20 or more touches please.

  12. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I’m feeling better and better about this game. Playoff Lenny is gonna rise from the ashes of injured reserve and have a strong game.

  13. Buc king Says:

    Why release bell tho

  14. Bucsfan951 Says:

I think quite a few players need to step up tomorrow but the first 2 names that comes to mind is 4net and shaq. Rams defense scares me and I would love to see shaq terrorize stafford all game long. Would also love to see this offense run through 4net because when he gets going, it seems as if the offense runs smoother.

  15. gp Says:

Sorry to see Bell go like that.
He helped “keep us afloat” and played well for coming off the couch, so to speak.
Hope he gets a nice parting gift.

  16. Snoman4 Says:

Wow the Titans defense is looking like Tampa’s last year.

  17. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Jamarr Chase is a freak

  18. Howard Cosell Says:

As Howard has said in other posts: The “Playoff” moniker needs t be shared with Shaq, because Playoff Shaq-y shows up BIG in the playoffs. In his great wisdom Howard has spoken. Wait for it and be amazed

  19. JimmyJack Says:

Fournette is one of them dudes you see on Championship Teams. Divisional Round, nothing but contenders left and the pressure is on. Some guys can just feed off that pressure and they elevate. Fournette is one of them dudes and I cannot wait to see what he does tomorrow!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  20. TheBucsAnthem Says:

A RB can’t be effective without a good offensive line……and with two probowl starters either out or playing at 50% abilities……I see Lenny nothing more than a check down receiver or as an additional blocker…….

DEFENSE RISE UP……and win this game for the Bucs!!!

  21. dmatt Says:

Why release LBell. He showed some promises last week. I saw him pick up a blitz n he also had a nice catch. Why not release someone useless such as OJ because he’s just dead weight.

  22. JimmyJack Says:

Dmatt…….Gio Bernard returned last week and had a heck of a game. To me thats the big part of the equation that pushed Bell out.

  23. Jmarkbuc Says:

Bell couldn’t stick in BMore either 🤔

If TB12 thought he was worth keeping.. he’d still be here.

  24. steele Says:

No good reason to release LBell. They may need him back. I have never had full confidence in Lenny, and still don’t. Vaughn and Gio have looked good. Key this week is blocking.

  25. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Sad to see LBell go, but if Lenny is healthy, look out!

  26. tampabayallday Says:

Bell still has better hands than Lenny

  27. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Any word on Grayson?..

  28. SB Says:

C’mon guys. Who else would they release to make room other than bell?
A back up lineman? No. A back up DB? no. A back up LB? No. A back up WR? No.
OJ does make sense tho except we only have 3 TEs on the roster I believe.

  29. Jmarkbuc Says:

So far no only Perriman and Rojo “out”

  30. Jmarkbuc Says:

There’s not many things scarier than a rested, healthy Derrick Henry.

  31. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I’m so sick of hearing people say crap about OJ Howard like he’s going to be effective in the game or somehow do something in a game period……….he’s Nothing more than a high Draft Bust…..Nothing more.

Coaches don’t talk about OJ, players don’t talk about OJ, the NFL don’t talk about OJ……………why????…….because he’s done NOTHING IN THE NFL…..except for being hurt every year and the occasional fans always talking about OJs “potential” if he’s 100% healthy…….what a joke!!!!!

  32. IrishTony Says:

Everyone’s playing in this game including Wirfs even on limited snaps. There’s no f”ing tomorrow folks.

  33. Tackleblockwin Says:

    It’s Playoff Lenny time!

  34. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Derrick Henry is an absolute monster……it should be illegal that someone that big and that strong 💪 can run so fast!!!!……..I don’t envy any defenders trying to tackle that monster.

  35. JimmyJack Says:

steele, see now thats what I dont like. You said there was no good reason to cut him, thats BS dude……You should be somewhat glad hes cut because that means we are healthy at the posotion.

We had to lose 1…..2….3 RBs to get desperate enough to rummage Bell off the streets. The reality is there was no good reason to keep him because with our guys healthy the only role Bell has is an emergency back that only sees the field if 1, 2 ,3 guys all get hurt in the same game…………..So we get our RBs back now we should cut somebody else who has a actual role? We should cut somebody else so Bell can sit on the bench in a big jacket as a 4th stringer thats not needed and doesnt play ST?

You make no freaking sence dude.

  36. TheBucsAnthem Says:

It’s really sad when you look back and see what happened to Levon Bell…..since he decided to follow the money 💰 and left Pittsburgh…….because he was the best back in the league at one point in time……since then, Bell has been a shell of himself.

I kinda feel bad for the man……but hey, atleast he got paid!!

  37. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Bell doesn’t have much left in the tank. Releasing him tells me when we win tomorrow, Rojo will be back next week.

  38. SB Says:

Time for Bell to start his ‘boxing career’ Lol.

  39. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Alvin

Let’s hope Rojo “ feels” like playing next week..

  40. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yeah, fair point Jmark. I really don’t understand Rojo. Part of it I chalk up to his tender age and immaturity. Didn’t he come out of college at 20?

  41. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Alvin

If Tom Brady can’t motivate you, not to mention BA, something is bad wrong.

The running out of bounds and avoiding contact is big red flag for me..

  42. SB Says:

In all fairness to rojo on that one play that he ran out of bounds, the play options on 2nd and 1 are Far more than 1st and 10.

  43. Jmarkbuc Says:

    SB

So you’re saying he made a conscious decision to have a 2nd and 1?

I really like Rojo he’s a helluva runner when he goes. There’s just something not right. You can’t miss nearly every pass pro assignment, play 2 plays and become “ill” out of nowhere. His head can’t be right. And he’s run out of bounds more than once when he could have had considerably more.

    I hate it, it’s a shame.

  44. SB Says:

Jmark, I am not sure how smart he is but if you get 9 yards on first down it is much smarter to step out of bounds than to take the hit. Now if it was third down you ABSOLUTELY take the hit.

  45. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

SB and Jmark, I’m pretty sure Rojo has run out of bounds on a 3rd down play or two where he should have made the 1st down by initiating contact.

  46. Jmarkbuc Says:

    SB

I get the math.. you get the math.

Not sure he was doing that math.. it was strange which is why we all remember it now.

Maybe he just doesn’t respond to BA, or getting yanked every time he fumbled or dropped a pass. At some point he’s got to realize this is a good paying job, or he can go drive a truck or something.

  47. Defense Rules Says:

Jimmy Jack, I agree about Gio. Bucs can only keep so many RBs active for the game, and Tom Brady knows Lenny, Gio & Vaughn a lot better I’m sure than he does Bell. When we played the Rams earlier this season, Lenny was targeted 3 times (caught all 3 for 26 yds) and Gio was targeted 10 times (caught 9 of those for 51 yds). Vaughn didn’t get any offensive snaps, but he did play about half of the S/T snaps.

Brady was 0-for-3 deep in the 1st half, but 17-for-19 on the short passes. In the 2nd half, he was 5-for-7 deep, and 19-for-26 short. So in the 1st half, the deep ball wasn’t working but TB12 was on fire with the short stuff. In the 2nd half, his deep ball was great, but the short stuff faltered in a couple of spurts. In any event, our RBs got a LOT of work. So did Mike Evans (10 targets with 8 catches for 106 yds). Gronk didn’t have a particularly good game (4 catches in 8 targets), but 3 of the 4 incompletions were after he got hurt I’m pretty sure.

  48. Jmarkbuc Says:

We list in LA because of crucial mistakes. Dean dropping the interception when Stafford was rattled , and Gronk dropping a long(?) pass that would have kept a drive alive in the first half I believe.. those were the biggest two that I remember.

Been around a long time and am usually super pessimistic, but for some reason tomorrow at Home on a Sunny🤞🏻Cool day with TB12 as our QB… who’s got it better than us?

    Go Bucs!
    31-13

  49. MoHawg Says:

Ray Jay needs to be extra loud tomorrow, home field advantage needs to be emphasized.

  50. JimmyJack Says:

SB i get it you got a wide open playbook for 2nd and 1……But its obvisously not smarter to fail on purpose. It doesnt make it easier to get a 1st down because if RoJo just finishes the play you already got it……..I just seen the Cincy RB run up the gut for minus 3 hahaha.

  51. cmurda Says:

I hope our offense comes correct tomorrow. Don’t overthink things Byron such as Tennessee is doing right now. They are grasping defeat out of the jaws of victory. 3rd and 1 you run a cute option with Tannehill. 3rd and 1 and you have D Henry in the backfield. WTF are you thinking? It’s called overthinking the obvious. Don’t do it. You damn sure can’t hand the ball to Henry on 4th and a long 1. All 11 men on defense are looking for that. Terrible. Bring it tomorrow. LFG

  52. JimmyJack Says:

To be fair i just saw Henry pick up a 1st down on 2nd&1……..Very next set of downs they get to 3rd&1…….stuffed…….4th&1…..stuffed, turnover.

Playing with down and distance is like playing with fire. Looks really cool when it works, hurts like hell when it doesnt.

  53. Swampbuc Says:

Jimmyjack, great take on the RB situation explaining why Lev Bell was cut. I wasn’t expecting that but Lenny must be close to 100% and Rojo also must be close. KV looks great and Barner sits on the practice squad / special teams.

    Plenty of RB options suddenly.

  54. JimmyJack Says:

Cmurda worth noting that the Bengals have done a really great job shutting down Henry today. They destroyed him on 4th and1 too.

  55. Rod Munch Says:

I have no favorite in this game, so deciding who’d I’d like to see lose this… You got the annoying Burrow hype which is over the top, but I also love seeing fans crying when they lose a home game… It’s tough…

  56. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Cmurda

Best thing we can do is let the Lord of the Rings run the no huddle/ hurry up any way he sees fit.

And no three and out on the first possession.

  57. Miller5252 Says:

Lenny worries me for tomorrow. Not 100% healthy and hasn’t played real ball for a bunch of weeks now. We just going to throw him out full bore? His hands weren’t always the best playing every week at first. I just don’t think he’s going to have the impact everyone is hoping and I’m worried about fumbles and INT’s off his hands. Fingers are crossed for a good game from him. And why cut bell when we’ve had nothing but injuries at RB and Lenny ain’t 100%.

  58. Jmarkbuc Says:

Damn 9 sacks… looking for those deep shots gonna get Burrow killed

  59. JimmyJack Says:

This has been one heck of a football game if you enjoy hard hits and big time defense. I would think most old-time Buccaneer fans can appreciate solid defense.

  60. Rod Munch Says:

    HAHAHA… Loser QB…

  61. HC Grover Says:

Titans backup RB was better than Henry.

  62. HC Grover Says:

Wow Int an Bengals can take it wit FG

  63. Upstate NY BUC Says:

I hope the Bucs cb’s just saw what Eli Apple just did on that INT!!! Need alot of that tomorrow….

  64. Rod Munch Says:

… you don’t pick kickers from Florida, they can’t make big kicks in the cold!

  65. Rod Munch Says:

    LOL!

Loser Titan fans looking like idiots.

  66. Rod Munch Says:

Still got 45-mins until the real game starts? That stinks.

  67. JimmyJack Says:

Feels like an uphill battle in todays day of the NFL for the Titans trying to win with defense and ground attack.

Never got the feeling that the Titans were going to be able drive the ball for the late score……….49ers may fall under the same fate. Garappollo dont scare me.

Even being only a 2nd year QB, it just feels different with Burrow that he can make them big time throws with the game on the line.

  68. Rod Munch Says:

I don’t know, Burrow took a ton of sacks, only throws to guys if they’re wide open – the fact they were saying he’s like Brady… give me a break, makes me want to see him fail.

  69. David Says:

If the Bengals actually get a couple O lineman next year that can block…
    Look out!

  70. David Says:

    Munch

You need to watch him more throughout the year, he does not just throw to receivers who are open. He is really really good and is doing this without an offensive line. They get a couple lineman next year, they are going to be extremely dangerous

  71. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Florida kicker right Munch?

  72. BucsFan81 Says:

The winner of Bills vs Chiefs is going to the Super Bowl. Bengals can’t beat either one of those teams.

  73. JimmyJack Says:

Rod Munch. Yes, Burrow is still a kid and it shows. But that was a tough game against a really good defense that rocked him pretty good. Pretty rare to see a 2nd year QB lead his offense to win a game like that…….Id be pretty worried for the future if that guy was in my division .

  74. Rod Munch Says:

David – that’s fair, I haven’t seen a ton of him, but when I have watched him, his receivers are always wide open getting huge YAC. Then again, people say that about Brady if all they see are highlights.

BUT the fact on the air they were saying he’s like Brady in the pocket… at the time they’re saying that he’d won one playoff game. It’s a bit early to start with that.

Otherwise I have nothing against him, and very much enjoyed them winning since I got to see home fans crying, which I hope I get to see again tonight.

  75. Rod Munch Says:

Jmarkbuc – That was called sarcasm, that’s what the national media says all the time about why you don’t pick kickers from FL and southern California, they never kick in bad weather, in the cold, they can’t make big kicks, etc.

  76. crazybucs_CL Says:

    Tennessee O terrible. I can’t understand how they got #1 seed !!!

  77. David Says:

Cincinnati has a pretty good defense, a quarterback, receivers, decent Titans, running back… A couple lineman added next year look out.
Them and the BILLS are going to be right there for the next several years in the AFC. I still don’t count out KC or the Patriots.

Not sold on the Ravens or Titans because when most of your offense is running, it’s much easier for a defense to shut that down. If you get behind like the Titans did today, it’s a lot more difficult to come back. It is definitely a passing league now.

  78. Rod Munch Says:

BucsFan81 – Agree completely, I full suspect the Bengals will lose by at least 24 next week. I do not think the Titans were a particularly good team at this moment in time – the Titans did have a hot run mid-season, but late in the year they weren’t all that great, and barely beat Houston in game 17 when they needed to win to get the #1 seed.

If Burrow can keep the game next week close, then I’ll certainly have a lot more respect for him (again, not that I’m down on him, only down vs the hype of saying he’s ‘like Brady’). But we shall see.

  79. Nprbuc Says:

Just brought up John Brown from practice squad and RYAN GRIFFIN? Hope it’s something with Gabbert and not Tom.

  80. FortMyersDave Says:

Ryan Tannehill: 3 picks. Bengal kicker 4 for 4 including 2 from 52+ yards. That sums up why the Titans are one and done. Their last possession was like trying to run down the clock for OT before they made another mistake, playing not to lose. They lost despite 9 sacks.

  81. Rod Munch Says:

    Ryan Griffin? Oh no…

Isn’t Griffin a backup holder on kicks… wouldn’t he be working with the backup center in practice?…

  82. FortMyersDave Says:

Oh and throw in a turnover on downs in the 4th and 1 when they were on the Bengal 35. Henry got stuffed. Essentially another turnover. A lot of questions for the Titan offense and coaches.

  83. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Munch

Guess I need to brush up on my national pundits kicker wisdom😂😂😂

  84. Nprbuc Says:

Hope you are right Rod! Don’t know why Joe isn’t on this for us yet.

  85. Rod Munch Says:

Jmarkbuc – that’s alright, it’s just been some nonsense I’ve always heard since I was a kid and I always thought it was stupid. Not that many kickers get drafted anymore, so you don’t hear it as much anymore. But now that you’ve been made aware of it, just wait, and in the future you’ll start to notice it too.

  86. Rod Munch Says:

Nprbuc – No, I didn’t mean that as a good thing, I meant it as a bad thing. It could mean they’re not expecting Jensen to play, that if he’s out, you at least want on FGs you holder to be familiar with who is snapping the ball.

Hopefully they’re just be really cautious.

If anything is wrong with Brady, then they might as well call the game off as the Bucs have less than no chance – but if that was the case I’m sure we’d have heard about it everywhere.

  87. Rod Munch Says:

BTW I could be completely off on Griffin being the backup holder on kicks, I’m doing it by memory, and I think he used to do that, but I don’t know if that’s still the case or not. Pure speculation, just trying to make sense as to why they’d activate Griffin.

  88. JimmyJack Says:

I give the Bengals a punchers chance next week. Their defense looked fired up and might be underrated…….of course next week is a different test against a really good passing team. That defense might not look the same next week, but if theyre up for the challege look out.

  89. Rod Munch Says:

I felt good about the 49ers earlier this week, but for whatever reason I’m now thinking the Packers blow them out, just a gut feeling, I hope I’m really really wrong.

  90. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Munch

Does the long snapper not snap on FG’s?

  91. Rod Munch Says:

Jmarkbuc – I don’t believe so, it’s normally the other kicker, Pinion in our case, then Griffin is his backup I believe.

  92. Rod Munch Says:

Sorry, I misread what you wrote – was watching the stupid 49ers get stomped. Actually I’m not sure anymore who snaps FGs, so all my speculation could be for nothing.

  93. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Rod.. this…

“could mean they’re not expecting Jensen to play, that if he’s out, you at least want on FGs you holder to be familiar with who is snapping the ball.”

    We have a LS no?

  94. Jmarkbuc Says:

    👍

  95. JimmyJack Says:

Lets hope this weeks primetime games are better then the garbage we saw last week……….I still cant figure out why some egghead thought the country wanted to see Ben Rothlisberger end his career looking like a fish out of water, unable to make 10 yard throws, lead the .500 Steelers into the toilet.

If putting that slop on primetime is not a firable offense I oughta go apply for a job.

  96. HC Grover Says:

Ninnies are freezing! No chance in the arctic.

  97. BucsfaninTX Says:

Why did Tyan Griffin get activated?

  98. Jmarkbuc Says:

Niners better find some D right here.. right now

  99. Rod Munch Says:

Some free advice… double team Adams.

  100. TBSwarm Says:

Game just started and it already looks over

  101. Jmarkbuc Says:

    There ya go!

  102. Rod Munch Says:

Oh wow, maybe this turns it around.

Remember the Packers were killing the Bucs last year in Tampa in the 1st quarter, then we get a TO, and the game completely turns around, the Bucs blow out the Packers.

    We can hope…

  103. JimmyJack Says:

49ers best not play from behind.

That defense needs to be talking about how to make another play.

  104. JimmyJack Says:

    Hahahaha nevermind that though.

  105. JimmyJack Says:

    Thought

  106. cmurda Says:

We all really knew how this one was going to go. We shall see if the 9ers can even remotely stay in this game but the only good NFC playoff game is likely to happen tomorrow at 3pm. Let’s just hope that no matter how it goes tomorrow, it is the Bucs going up to Lambeau next weekend.

  107. Rod Munch Says:

It was close… I think NY made a business decision, that needs to be incomplete or this game is over and the TV audience goes away.

  108. TBSwarm Says:

Wow, lucky break. I just hope whoever wins this game comes out limping from the other team

  109. Jmarkbuc Says:

GB looks fresh that’s for sure

  110. Rod Munch Says:

Note, long snapper Zach Triner does in fact snap on FGs.

So nevermind my earlier speculation about Griffin and a backup center.

  111. JimmyJack Says:

Im halfway rooting for the Packers…..id love nothing more then to get in that stadium and rip them to shreds again.

Just something about that stadium. Bucs have typically played great football in Lambeau. Its exciting as a fan. Seems like the players play with a little more energy as well.

Just something about that stadium. Probally the old Sapp/Farve rivarly from when we was in the NFC Central.

  112. Jmarkbuc Says:

    I’d rather play at home.

  113. cmurda Says:

Wow. To have a shot against GB, the guys not named Deebo are going to need to make plays. Kittle is supposed to be a top 5 TE in this league and he doinked a huge play right off his chest. He has one tackle to break for a TD. No chance against an elite offense when all of your receiving threats put the ball on the ground. I usually hate on Jimmy G but he’s been really good. The rest of this offense has been yuck.

  114. JimmyJack Says:

SF aint got it. Defense hangin but they gonna start bending over if their O keeps gagging.

6 points dropped by SF so far. ZERO points

  115. Rod Munch Says:

It’s amazing how the Packers fall apart at the first sign of adversity. They still could go and blow out the 49ers, but that felt like a certainty until that fumble.

  116. Rod Munch Says:

cmurda – they look like a team not ready for the cold. Not sure how you prep for that, but catching in the cold is different.

  117. Adrnagy Says:

Go to sleep. Big day tomorrow.

  118. Jmarkbuc Says:

Somebody is gonna have to catch a ball for the Niners

  119. Jmarkbuc Says:

    5 OLine couldn’t stop 4 rushers .. sad

  120. cmurda Says:

How is a white dude going to have the last name Compton and then suck at his job of being tough. Wow. That dude is getting owned by whomever he goes against. He’s getting bullied like a small child. The 2 last sacks solely on his shoulders.

  121. David Says:

Man I hope the bucks win tomorrow. That is going to be a tough game. If they get through it, San Fran does not stand a chance against them. The Packers will be a tough game but a little pressure and adversity on Rodgers and it’s over.

  122. cmurda Says:

No excuses Rod. This isn’t their first time playing in the cold. The ball is right there. It might hurt. Doesn’t matter. Catch it.

  123. SPARKY Says:

A new thing I see now is a running back being stopped but the offensive lineman coming behind and shoving the pile ahead for extra yards
For one thing I thought that was illegal, for another thing, wouldn’t this be blocking in the back?

  124. Rod Munch Says:

cmurda – easier said than done. I just know from my limited play in cold, by Florida standards, trying to catch the ball wasn’t easy, every time it was cold I badly jammed my finger and the only time I broke a finger catching the ball was in the cold (mid-30s, again, cold by Florida standards). That literally never happened in normal Florida weather, only the few times it was cold. I feel for these guys if they’re not used to the temps, don’t practice in it.

  125. Rod Munch Says:

cmurda – speaking of which, if the Packers win and the Bucs win, Arians needs to get everyone on a bus and head up towards Brooksville this week and do some 7am practices when it will be below freezing. That’s as close as we’ll get to anything cold around here.

Remember last year they had some unseasonably warm weather when we went there.

  126. DrunkInYbor Says:

I like Bell but somebody had to go. I am sure he will get Super Bowl ring when we win the Super Bowl. Arians Licht and the front office are like that. He helped us out played some games. So don’t feel bad for the guy. He looked good enough to be a 3rd rb in a team next year.

  127. David Says:

The genius that is allegedly Bill Belichick wanted to keep Garoppolo and send Brady packing? LOL

  128. JimmyJack Says:

If SF can make one more big splash play on Rodgers he may have a full on hissy fit and wind up choking again.

Of course that means SF has to find a endzone and they are at minus 20 passing. Doesnt look like they can do it.

Either way I love the Bucs chanses vs Girly Rodgers next week. We can cause bigger hissy fits and Tom will turn all of em into TDs.

  129. HC Grover Says:

Maybe the Ninnies win and we win then home for the Big one.

  130. David Says:

This is like the Bucs facing the Eagles, when you pretty much only have to stop the run to win, it’s not that difficult

  131. Rod Munch Says:

David – If you listen to sports radio or read their sports up in Boston, they will all tell you that Belichick wanted Garoppolo over Brady, that it was the owner that stepped in and said the team needed to keep Brady. That’s what is claimed as being common knowledge. Personally I always thought Jimmy G just looked like your run of the mill game manager, was shocked they even got a 2nd rounder for him.

  132. Rod Munch Says:

David – I don’t agree with that, the 49ers are a much much much better offense than the Eagles. I do think the Bucs would much rather have faced the 49ers than the Rams, but it wouldn’t have been a blow-out like vs the Eagles.

  133. JimmyJack Says:

So far the 49ers best play is make the QB throw underhand so it cant be dropped…….just like how we toss things to our wifes.

  134. SPARKY Says:

I don’t know why the NFL keeps putting these cold weather games on at night
It’s 10 degrees warmer in the afternoon. Watching 2 good football teams struggling in cold weather is not fun to watch.

  135. JimmyJack Says:

After watching this the team that scares me most is the Rams.

We win tomorrow winning the NFC to get to the Super Bowl is just a formality.

  136. David Says:

I don’t think they’re better that much better of an offense than the Eagles. They should be because of Deebo and Kittles but Garoppolo is absolute garbage.

  137. Rod Munch Says:

    Wow, what a retard…

  138. PassingThru Says:

That’s Jimmy G. for you; dumb throws at the most inopportune times.

  139. David Says:

San Fran is having the same feeling the Titans had today… Man if only we had a quarterback

  140. cmurda Says:

That will do it. Jimmy G keeps the play alive which was the worst thing because he’s too terrible of a QB to make a good read. It’s always late. Zero chance whatsoever for the 9ers. Just like I always say because Jimmy G exists. Worst QB in the business.

  141. cmurda Says:

Agreed Jimmyjack. Playing the Packers in GB worries me less than the Rams even if I were looking ahead. I feel like we could easily handle this Packer team. Do the same thing that the 9ers are doing right now. Double Davante and options get limited if the Packers can’t successfully run the ball. We are set up perfectly to neutralize GB but the difference between us and the 9ers are we have an offense. The game just ended right there on that mental breakdown on the 9ers D. The game really ended because Jimmy G sucks.

  142. Rod Munch Says:

Well no need to watch the 2nd half.

Bucs win, we go on the road to GB…

Need to win tomorrow, that’s going to be tough.

  143. Bucs Win Says:

Jameis Garoppolo ain’t getting it done.

  144. Bucs Win Says:

    ever

  145. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Rod…you were saying? San Fran has a way of sticking around and coming back. Game ain’t over

  146. Rod Munch Says:

You ever try to find the 1985 Bucs at Packers game, the toilet snow bowl, where even the Packers fans didn’t even bother to come out because the weather was so bad. It’s remarkably hard to find anymore, no idea why, you used to be able to find clips, but they were all taken down a few years ago and there’s not much available anymore. You can find everything else, so I don’t know why that game was singled out.

  147. cmurda Says:

Wow. Packers haven’t exactly impressed. Aaron fumbles it. Gets a gift because the 9ers D line has their head in the clouds and failed to recover fumble and then a gimme FG was blocked. Crazy. If the SF offense wasn’t so incompetent I would say this game isn’t over but it is. However, it’s more proof that GB is far from invincible even at home.

  148. Rod Munch Says:

    NaplesBucsFan – hope you’re right.

  149. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Y’all sit here and say the Rams are more scary than GB and that JimmyG is the reason the 9ers will lose…BUT you conveniently forget he lead them back against these vaunted Rams, so which is it?? Rams are great or JimmyG suck???

  150. Ben the GA Buc Says:

10-0 at the half is a huge blessing for SF. Not necessarily over, folks. Jimmy G sucks but SF can still win this.

  151. Jmarkbuc Says:

Down 7-0 and get the ball .. could be worse

  152. Ben the GA Buc Says:

I mean 7-0. I’m behind live TV. Lol

  153. Jerry Says:

Bucs match up well against the Packers and have a real good chance of knocking them off. It’s the Rams that will be the roadblock.

  154. Tackleblockwin Says:

This game is wild lol. Not counting the 49ers out yet.

  155. NaplesBucsFan Says:

9ers came back 17-0 against the Rams…so by no means is this a gimme for GB. I can see them getting it done in the second half like they did to get in the playoffs and make us #2 seed…now they will make us the #1 seed. Go 49ers!!! Come see us in Florida!

  156. Jmarkbuc Says:

Crosby is never a sure thing.. this comes down to a FG I’d want Gould.

  157. Nprbuc Says:

Rod Munch. So if Griffin is NOT being brought up as a holder- what’s up? Maybe Gabbert hit with the plague and we need a backup QB. Really wish that one of the two Joes could run this down for us. Hate having to grab important news off other reports. That’s why we come here. Latest and greatest Bucs news. Why have we heard nothing? Come on Joe(s)

  158. JimmyJack Says:

    Dude what just happened?

Alls I can think about is last year before halftime. Only left saying “Did that just happen?”

Alls I can tell yall is if we play the Packers next week dont get up to get a jump start of halftime……I dont care if its a kneeldown play!! Something crazy is about to happen.

  159. Rod Munch Says:

I’m looking at the box score from that 1985 snow bowl Bucs @ Packers game… wow…

    Packers won 21-0…

    Yards… Bucs, 65, Packers, 512

Steve Young, 8 or 17 passing, 53 yards
    Wilder, 12 rushes, 23 yards, 6 receptions, 33 yards
    House, 1 reception, 10 yards
Calvin Magee, 1 reception, 10 yards

That’s the ENTIRE Bucs offensive box score. I’ve never seen a box score that only had 4 people in it.

  160. Rod Munch Says:

Nprbuc – it was just pure speculation, but yeah, I have no idea why Griffin would be activated unless something is wrong with Pinion — or as someone else said, Gabbert has an issue. It can’t be Brady, if anything was wrong with Brady, it would be everywhere.

  161. JimmyJack Says:

I dont think Garopollo throws that pick if the rest of his offense wasnt so bad.

Ruin a drive with pentalty. Then Kittle drops 3 points. Then his reciever drops 3. Then a pentalty turns 1st& goal from 3 to 1st and goal from the 20……….Garopllo could of been frustrated and tryed to force a dumb throw.

  162. Jp09 Says:

Just because Griff was brought up does not mean he will be activated tomorrow.

  163. David Says:

Jimmy G sucks. Most of his reads are late. He can scramble and extend a play one series and then the next he gets absolutely blindsided with no idea the pocket was collapsing.
If they are to win this, and they have a chance because of their defense, they need to get it to Deebo, keep running, and hit Kittles on short stuff to get it out of Jimmy G‘s hands.

  164. Jp09 Says:

It could just be a precaution incase the flu gets someone before the game

  165. Jp09 Says:

I hope we see the Super Bowl version of our D tomorrow and beat the hell out of the Rams

  166. David Says:

As much as the Talking Heads mention the weather and how cold it is, I honestly do not think it makes that much of a difference. These players are from all over the country and have played in all types of weather in college and the NFL.
The reason it’s been tough for teams to go to Green Bay or to New England is because they were better teams that had home field advantage. The Buccaneers didn’t win in cold-weather for years because they mostly sucked.

  167. cmurda Says:

That’s the most suspect penalty call I have ever seen. Such a light facemask by the Rb is never ever called. Incredibly suspect call. The NFL is making sure this game stays in GB for the NFCCG

  168. David Says:

    Jp09

We definitely need the Super Bowl version of the Buccaneers defense to show up tomorrow. Shaq and the D line need to get after Stafford.

  169. cmurda Says:

Jimmy G just threw a pick 6 but the GB defense didn’t comply. If he doesn’t blow points at a minumum this would be a 7-6 game. My goodness is he terrible.

  170. Jp09 Says:

    David

I feel like all the talk has been about our oline health and the Rams (both offense & D) and no mention of the Bucs D and how it’s the healthiest it’s been all year

  171. Rod Munch Says:

Hey guys, who else is going to be watching the big game? I normally tune in for the halftime show and those funny commercials, they are really creative and not only make you laugh, but make you think!

  172. BucsFan81 Says:

Damn neither the packers or 49ers look good. If we get past the rams we should be back in the super bowl.

  173. Jmarkbuc Says:

So far the Packers aren’t beating the Niners… the Niners are beating the Niners

  174. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Come on Niners!

  175. Rod Munch Says:

What is with those terrible drawings that Fox uses for everything? Did the VP of Fox Sports have a talentless nephew who draws terrible portraits that needed a job?

  176. Rod Munch Says:

Packers offense makes no sense. They were moving at will when they were running, then throwing off the run, then they get that fumble and they completely change their playcalling like they’re 21 points behind and just pass-pass-pass.

  177. David Says:

Does Jimmy G bother to look to see if there’s a defender when he throws a 10 yard out? It seems like every series there’s a pass that should be a pick six

  178. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Garropolo makes Jameis look accurate

  179. Rod Munch Says:

Jimmy G should be Jimmy L, because he’s a loser.

What was that, another pick 6 that the Packers didn’t bother to catch.

  180. David Says:

    Jp09

I agree. All the talk has been about the Buccaneers having to deal with their pass rush and the Buccaneers having to deal with Stafford and that Offense… I hope the BUCS O line and D line are taking it personally

  181. Rod Munch Says:

Man… I so wish the Bucs had played the 49ers instead of the Rams…

  182. Buczilla Says:

    Woot!

  183. David Says:

    Munch

That’s what I was saying earlier. It’s a real easy offense to stop. If you stop the run then it forces Jimmy G to make decisions and he’s had about two good games all year.
Just like the Eagles and Hurts.

All I’m worried about is the Buccaneers O & D lines winning the battles tomorrow

  184. Rod Munch Says:

Who is getting Tampa Bay Bandits season tickets?

    ….

    ..
    .

    Anyone?

  185. Rod Munch Says:

David – This is a bad game even by Jimmy G standards. I would not take this as indicative of this offense. They’re one of the most creative offenses in football, generally speaking, and if you have some of those early catches, the 49ers are winning right now. Then again if the Packers catch those INT’s, the Packers are up big.

I think the weather is playing a big role here, making both teams look bad.

  186. lambeau Says:

    Just beat Washington.

  187. David Says:

    Nope to the bandits

I had Buccaneers season tickets until about six years ago.
Now I take my kids to a game once a year and I go to a game once a year with a couple friends.
I go to a 2 Lightning and Rays games with the kids and 2 without.

That ends up being over $2000 for 10 games when you add in food drinks parking. It’s ridiculously stupid

  188. David Says:

    Munch

They are creative when it comes to Deebo. And you are right, a whole lot of dropped passes early in the game kind of set a tone for them

  189. Rod Munch Says:

David – Probably get some Bandits club seats for like $12, not per game, for the entire season.

  190. David Says:

Would love to see San Fran‘s D force a turnover or at least hold them to a FG

  191. cmurda Says:

If GB scores a TD, this game is over. If they score a FG, it’s likely over. If they don’t score at all, it’s still likely over for SF.

  192. David Says:

The only season tickets I’m contemplating are the Lightning. Me and a buddy might go in 50-50, each use 25% of the tickets and then sell the other 50% to cover all the costs.

That ends up being about 10 games to go to, I live down in Sarasota, so that is doable.

  193. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Cmurda

    So you’re saying…?

  194. Jmarkbuc Says:

Biggest play of the game right here

  195. Rod Munch Says:

Holy crap, a hard hit and no flag, I haven’t seen that in years!

  196. Devinwhiteshorse3 Says:

Love how we just high jacked this post about lenny commenting on the game lol I love my fellow bucs fans!

  197. David Says:

I don’t understand that. They need 4 yards. He runs 5 and breaks out while the defender is backing up the whole time. Completion every time. The defender needs to not give up ground starting at 3 yards

  198. Joe Says:

I don’t know why the NFL keeps putting these cold weather games on at night
It’s 10 degrees warmer in the afternoon. Watching 2 good football teams struggling in cold weather is not fun to watch.

TV networks, which *love* cold weather games at night (especially if there is snow) basically call the shots on starting times. They pay the NFL billions so the NFL bends over for them.

  199. Rod Munch Says:

Devinwhiteshorse3 – That’s because Joe REFUSES to give in and give us a gameday thread for other games. No idea why, but Joe has his reasons I guess. So whatever is at the top of the news list gets hijacked.

  200. David Says:

I was about to say he’s dumping it to the back or throwing to Adams. Double Adams and make the tackles

  201. cmurda Says:

Props to the SF defense. They’ve played a great game. Their offense is just too brutal. They will be a very scary team to play if they get a QB

  202. David Says:

See. He dumped to a running back, they made a tackle. Next play they double up Adams and Rodgers gets a little bit panicky -boom sacked

  203. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Now or never Jimmy G

  204. David Says:

The Packers offense becomes very predictable when it’s not operating on all cylinders. Man I hope the Buccaneers bring it tomorrow on the O line and the D line because these two teams don’t stand a chance

  205. SPARKY Says:

Does Rodgers ever wash his hair?

  206. Rod Munch Says:

cmurda – That’s why they drafted Lance. Chris Simms said repeatedly that Shanahan wanted Matt Jones, but was basically overruled by everyone else in the front office saying Jones wasn’t worth a pick that high. Simms is very connected with Shanahan, so I assume he wasn’t just making that up.

But put Matt Jones in there instead of Jimmy G… even as a rookie I think it’s an upgrade.

Lance will probably be good in that running offense, but it’s a lottery ticket, so who knows.

  207. David Says:

They need to get the defense following Deebo on the outside and hit Kittles going down the seam

  208. David Says:

LoL. 11 minutes left in the game and Troy Aikman just said about the San Fran offense… Well that’s a start

  209. cmurda Says:

LOL. This Compton guy is embarrassing the O Line coach. Why in the woirld is this dude in the game. Whoever the backup is needs to be playing left tackle and then Kittle gets it. Go figure.

  210. David Says:

    Finally back to Kittle

  211. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Wow

  212. David Says:

He’s got Trent Williams leading the way to the right and he decides to go straight up the gut?????

  213. Ben the GA Buc Says:

    Unbelievably bad execution

  214. Rod Munch Says:

Going for it was the right call I think, but the actual play call… you know they’re going to stack the middle, and you run well outside…

  215. BucsFan81 Says:

49ers are a joke. They have a good defense. But my god the offense is painful to watch.

  216. cmurda Says:

Pathetic playcall. That’s coaching there. Usually I think the SF playcalling is solid but that’s just dumb. Why take your fullback off the field? Why in the hell would you do that. It’s 4th and 1. You actually should have handed to your fullback who is going to bang in for a first down. The entire stadium and viewing audience knew the 1 dimensional SF offense was giving that to their RB who had no chance. Terrible coaching.

  217. David Says:

    JOE

Interesting about the networks wanting cold weather games at night. I was wondering that last week when they were playing a night game in Buffalo

  218. Rod Munch Says:

Early weather forecast for Green Bay next Sunday…

High 27, low 11, no snow.

  219. PassingThru Says:

That had to be a communication problem.

  220. Rod Munch Says:

Good idea by the 49ers there faking an injury, you do so outside of 5 mins and you stop the clock and don’t get a flag. Not sure why more teams don’t fake injuries to stop the clock in that situation.

  221. David Says:

I don’t think it was the play call. Watch the replay.
It is designed to follow Trent Williams to the outside, if he goes wide right he gets the first down. One defender flashed inside of Trent Williams and the RB went up the gut instead. Horrible vision

  222. Anonymous Says:

    OMG 😱

  223. Anonymous Says:

    WOW

  224. Lesko_Brandon Says:

Wow 49er just tied the game !

  225. cmurda Says:

Holy crap. That was the only way Sf was scoring. This is insane. SF special teams are ridiculous

  226. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Holy crap this game just turned on a dime

  227. David Says:

    WOW 😮

  228. Rod Munch Says:

    HAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!!!!

  229. Anonymous Says:

Rodgers choking again… We beat any of these teams easily. The real nfc championship game is tomorrow

  230. Jmarkbuc Says:

    10-10…

One more stop and a Robbie Gould FG?

  231. Lesko_Brandon Says:

    Go Niners !!!!!

  232. MadMax Says:

    Loving THIS!!!!! Go 49er’s!!!!!!!

  233. Vsyl Says:

Packers choking again. We beat any of these teams easily. The real nfc championship game is tomorrow

  234. David Says:

The Packer fans suddenly look really cold

  235. Rod Munch Says:

OMG, if the Packers lose this, everyone, go find a live stream of local sports talk in Green Bay / Milwaukee… You won’t be sorry, it will be some of the best crying whining you will have ever heard.

Lets just hope we get to hear those Packers tears.

  236. Rod Munch Says:

Makes me feel better about the Bucs special teams. While they’re not any good, they haven’t lost us any games.

  237. Lesko_Brandon Says:

This game will boil down to FG.

  238. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Here we go!

  239. David Says:

Wow that was close to 6 the other way

  240. Rod Munch Says:

Remember the 49ers lost the game vs the Packers this year because the RB scored with too much time left, gave Rodgers just enough time to get down and get a FG.

Just something to keep in mind…

  241. cmurda Says:

Wow. That was the chance for great field position. Great punt. Weak weak return.

  242. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Nothing stupid here Jimmy G

  243. Buc in A Says:

    Getting interesting

  244. PassingThru Says:

Jimmy G. has been living a charmed life

  245. David Says:

If the Packers lose this it’s going to be amusing listening to all the A-Arod fans talk about how it’s not his fault… It’s never his fault… Heck, even he throws everyone under the bus except himself- always. He’s a horrendous leader

  246. PassingThru Says:

Just waiting for that almost inevitable INT

  247. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Holy sh!t these guys are in great position to win it!!!! Both teams look vulnerable but damn having the home game would be great!!
    Go 49ers GO!!!!

  248. David Says:

For those wondering, the Lightning are up 3-0 in the first.
Stamkos has a goal and an assist

  249. Rod Munch Says:

    PassingThru — DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!

  250. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Bite your tongue Passing thru🥶🥶🥶🥶

  251. David Says:

Deebo Has not had the ball in a while. They need to get him something quick and let him do his thing

  252. cmurda Says:

I don’t like the 2nd down playcall. I get the pitch on 1st down. The toss on 2nd down was awkward and not smart. Bang it up the middle or fool everyone and look for Kittle

  253. David Says:

    Cmurda
That’s what I was thinking. Second down shut up play action and hitting Kittle over the middle

  254. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Come on SF get the first!!! Or get real close and go for it on 4th

  255. David Says:

    Wow. Huge run

  256. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Hell yeah!

  257. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Need another good run…

  258. David Says:

I know they don’t trust Jimmy G to throw right now but, holy crap, make an audible. There are 10 men in the box

  259. cmurda Says:

Wow. Deebo is a monster. This makes tomorrow’s game all the more crazy if SF actually pulls this off. Mitchell is pretty useless. He doesn’t do much of anything. This is still a long FG in the snow nonetheless.

  260. NaplesBucsFan Says:

HERE IT IS BOYS!!!! Come on Gould

  261. Jmarkbuc Says:

    This won’t be easy

  262. Rod Munch Says:

That’s still a long field goal for these conditions…

    But make it, stupid.

  263. Rod Munch Says:

620 WTMJ, out of Green Bay, carries the Packers post game…

If you want a good laugh… I suggest you tune in…

  264. David Says:

  268. David Says:

  271. Lesko_Brandon Says:

    Wow niners !!!

  272. Doctor Stroud Says:

And they want to give the MVP to that choke artist?!

  273. Rod Munch Says:

Bucs have to win, no way that you can have 3 road teams win in a row, no way, the Bucs HAVE to win, it’s just the odds

  274. Cobraboy Says:

    YES!YES!YES!YES!

  275. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Well. Let’s go Bucs. HFA for everything but the SB if we win

  276. David Says:

    Snoman

All his fans and himself will tell you… It’s not his fault. It’s never his fault. It’s everyone else. LoL

  277. Jmarkbuc Says:

    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Kaaron Gets what he deserves!

And I called earlier in this thread… Gould for the win! !

  278. Vsyl Says:

LFG bucs!!! More motivation for tomorrow

  279. Lesko_Brandon Says:

  281. MadMax Says:

Now we need cinci to beat the winner of bills/KC…..make it an easy one for us as long as we can pull off the win tomorrow.

  282. Lesko_Brandon Says:

  284. ModHairKen Says:

    Stephen A. Smith says what?

  285. Francisco Guzman Says:

Fraudgers chokes!!!!!!! The importance of tomorrow’s game just changed!!!! A chance for one of these teams to host the nfc title game!!!!!!!

I can’t wait to hear the excuses for Aaron fraudgers!!!! The guy and his offense had plenty of chances to end the game!!!!!

  286. DaBux Says:

Hmmm, wonder how fired up TB12 will be tomorrow.

    Just OMG.

    DO IT BOYS!

  287. Snoman Says:

Niners special teams get game ball and MVP

  288. Jeagan1999 Says:

Let’s go Bucs! Win tomorrow and the Championship game is home in Tampa!
    Packers lose!

  289. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Rogers sucks in the playoffs , I love it!! Here we go Tampa Bay, let’s do this!!!

  290. EA Says:

Yeah , packers aren’t built to play playoff football at home, they keep losing at home, the finese passing attack doesn’t work in that weather. The year they won the superbowl they were a wildcard team.

  291. Curse of Gruden Says:

    Karen Rodgers does it again!

  292. Jp09 Says:

This pumps both teams up for tomorrow, no matter who wins 9ers have to go there. The Bucs have a little extra motivation though, stop the only team that can do what the Bucs did last year – win the super bowl in their home stadium. Huge game tomorrow LFG Bucs win 31-24!!

  293. Lesko_Brandon Says:

I’m not even playing tomorrow but I am super pump !!!!

  294. EA Says:

49ers should have walked up to Rodgers and said ” We still own you in the playoffs”.

  295. BuccaneerButters Says:

Lololololololol! Omg! Absolute choke job! I need to turn on local radio now. Unreal

  298. Rod Munch Says:

Listening to this Packers post game local radio and they’re saying it’s over, Rodgers is gone, team is going to be blown up, it’s all over, fire everyone, it’s fantastic!

  299. Lesko_Brandon Says:

I beleive that’s Rodger’s last game with the Packers.

  300. Rod Munch Says:

I can’t tell you how much I love listening to post-game audio of losing teams like this, it’s so much fun.

If you get the iheartradio app, listen to WDUZ, great stuff, first caller I hear says Rodgers sucks, he’s a drama queen, he has to go, the coach stinks, he needs to be fired…

I just love this, it brings me so much happiness to hear these stupid Packers fans melt down.

  301. Cobraboy Says:

    WDUZ is on fire!

  302. Jp09 Says:

@Rod so they sound like our fans after we lose lol

  303. Snoman Says:

Rogers is mentally weak! So glad to have watched Brady over the last 20 years! Joe Burrow is going to be a beast if he stays healthy in his career. He has moxie.

  304. Buc1987 Says:

I come on the site tonight and go wow thread about Lenny with over 300 comments. Turns out it was just a live thread about GB vs SF.

  305. Swampbuc Says:

    Way to go, lads!

I watched at a local eatery and got home in time for the improbable Robbie’s Gold stupendous game winning 45 yard kick in 0 degree snow on an ice skating rink. And he made it look easy. One of the best kicks I’ve ever seen, he looked effortless, like it was an old fashioned extra point from the 10:yard line.

I get home and I check JBF comments and see 300+ on this thread! So I scroll and – pure poetry lads. Loved it. The ebb and flow, captured everything I was feeling while wolfing down an overpriced meal.

LFG – take care of your business, Bucs!!!
