49ers Win! Bucs One Win From Hosting NFC Championship

January 22nd, 2022

Gagged as usual!

They choked again!

Joe has been saying for months he wasn’t concerned with the Packers because drama queen Aaron Rodgers is a choke artist.

Guess what? Rodgers choked again!

The Packers couldn’t hold a 10-3 second half lead and on a 45-yard Robbie Gould field goal as time expired, the 49ers knocked the Packers out of the playoffs.

That’s the third time since January 2011 that the Packers were a No. 1 seed and Rodgers found a way to lose. Jimmy GQ, you are Joe’s hero!

What does this mean for Bucs fans? If somehow the Bucs can beat the Rams on Sunday (major task), the Bucs will host the 49ers in the NFC Championship. It will mark the second time in franchise history the Bucs will host an NFC championship game and the first time the Bucs had three home playoff games in the same postseason.

If the Bucs win Sunday.

Charleston, Ill. is alive tonight!

  12. David Says:

Can we stop talking about how hard it is to win at Lambeau field now?
Can we slap people in the face for even mentioning Aaron Rodgers as a top five quarterback of all time?

Aaron Rodgers is now 11-10 In the playoffs and I believe 5-4 at home.

There is no playoff home-field advantage at Lambeau field and Aaron Rodgers is very average in the playoffs.

  13. WillieG Says:

It will be close in the first half. The Bucs will pull away BIG TIME in the second. You heard it here first!

  14. BucfaninMi Says:

  21. KnoxvilleBuc Says:

The 49ers were the best matchup to beat the pack. Credit Lynch for building that team. RayJay is gonna be rocking tomorrow! Whatever it takes, letā€™s get it done!

  22. Go Bucs! Says:

Good thing. Let’s stay focused. LFG!

  23. Buddha Says:

When the game was still on the line, Packers with the ball, 10-10 and nearly 5 minutes to play Rodgers goes three and out MVP two years in a row and loses at home. Somehow you just knew the Packers would lose again.

  24. NeverGIVEup Says:

    JUST AS I PREDICTED

  25. Iamabuc Says:

This is why I keep saying that all the awards
should be given after the SB. Karen Rogers should not be the MVP this year nor ever over Brady, period.

  26. Dew Says:

Brady vs Garoppolo in NFC Championship Game in Tampa. Drama

  27. DBS Says:

Why do we want a proven choke artist? For a backup maybe?

  28. Lesko_Brandon Says:

Bucs fans, go to the Stadium, make some noise, cheer for the bucs, make it hard for the rams to hear their audibles. GO BUCS !!!!

  29. BitcoinTom Says:

Brady wont miss those easy slant on Adams, time and time again in the patriots Tom Brady proves he can win no matter what the situation is. Rodgers? Meh.

  30. Miller5252 Says:

Iā€™ve agreed with Joe since the first time he talked about the Packers in the playoffsā€¦. Erin Rodgers and the packers would choke!!! I was just mad that the Bucs werenā€™t the team to knock em out again!!! Bye bye Erin, heā€™ll retire or go to Denver. Either wayā€¦. Heā€™ll choke again!!! Hahahahahaha šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  31. Itzok Says:

Let the Jordan love Era begin. As great as Aaron Rodgers is he definitely doesn’t deliver in the playoffs. I expect Brady to handle business tomorrow. I look forward to getting an invoice for nfc championship game at Ray Jay from the bucs

  35. David Says:

Tampa D line and O line need to bring it tomorrow!!!! Tomorrow is the real NFC championship game.

  36. Tim in PSL Says:

Brady is probably on the phone with all his guys right now pumping them up for tomorrow! Wait..it’s past his bedtime lol

  37. Jerry R Jones Says:

Gotta believe the entire team is that much more motivated.

I want our Bucs to be LOCKED IN tomorrow. Be the aggressors and play smart football.

  38. Oneilbuc Says:

That’s why I will always believe that ain’t no quarterback is worth a 100 million dollars. If you can’t run the ball you will not win . The reason why Brady has 7 rings is because he doesn’t take the big money because he’s married to a woman that’s worth 600 million dollars. Every NFL team needs to pay their quarterback the same way Brady has been paid his whole career so you can keep a good team around your quarterback.

  39. ATLBucsFan Says:

Letā€™s take care of our business and move on! Go Bucs!!!

  40. sasquatch Says:

Let’s have lamb chops for lunch.

  41. Joe Says:

Why do we want a proven choke artist? For a backup maybe?

His record in warm weather games/sites is pretty bad too.

  42. mg Says:

    Go Bucs

  43. Pewter Power Says:

Lol lot of people talking like they wouldnā€™t want rodgers of Brady retires and they know they are lying.

Aaron rodgers and drew brees both love those regular season accolades though donā€™t they

  44. Miller5252 Says:

Super Bowl here we come if we beat the Rams!! With all the injuries, IF they make itā€¦. Arians should be coach of the year, Licht should be GM of the year and Brady MVP!! Crazy crazy!!! Gotta dominate tomorrow!!!

  45. DoooshLaRue Says:

Weren’t there rumblings about John Lynch being on the hot seat before the season started?

  46. Buc1987 Says:

The stage is set Bucs fans. (not Listnfrmfakebucsfan)

    I can’t believe this shyte.

Get by the Rams and they play a hobbled 49ers team at home for a chance at another Super Bowl trophy.

    Good times Bucs fans….good times.

LFG get by the Rams. Go Bucs!!!

  47. Bucs&Bolts Says:

We WILL win tomorrow! Best believe Buc Nation is going to be the loudest tomorrow!

  49. DaBux Says:

RayJay is going to be LIT.

  50. Miller5252 Says:

@Pewter Power You can add Payton Manning to your list as well! Regular season he was a monster but could never take it to another level like the other two you mentioned.

  51. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs canā€™t afford a slow start tomorrow and they have to play physical football! Gotta play physical!!!!!

  52. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilaints still making no sense lol.

  53. adam from ny Says:

    seriously tho….

do you think tom went to sleep at halftime or he saw the ending…the happy ending?

  56. Tackleblockwin Says:

Hey guys did you see the GB vs 49ers game? Jk lmao. Letā€™s go Bucs!

  57. Me Bean Says:

@Oneilbuc – Brady set the record for the highest paid player in the NFL at one point in the middle of his career. Look it up. Still the GOAT.

  58. Snoman Says:

Got to bring our best game tomorrow! Want to see us play San Fran at home.

  59. kyle Says:

karen rogers…LOLOLOL he gets what he deserves.. big mouth, talking spit all year..

  60. firethecannons Says:

and the 49″s are banged up too– have to win somehow tomorrow anything and everything is possible Go Bucs!

  61. Francisco Guzman Says:

I am really concerned about the bucs moving the football tomorrow. They need other players to step up.

  62. adam from ny Says:

aaron rodgers will never play for tampa…

as joe said, his record is horrendous here…

and the last thing he needs at this point in his career is to step in behind tom brady and fill his shoes…

it was tough enough for him to do that in green bay early on with the favre situation…

he doesn’t need that again…he’s too smart for that…

there are many qb starved teams that fit the bill for him…

    denver, ny giants, etc

  63. kyle Says:

karen go play for the broncos and lose please..lol

  65. GenocideD Says:

Just gotta get passed the rams. Would be nice to see our dbs pick off a couple of those Jimmy passes in the flat!

  66. GenocideD Says:

    Past šŸ™‚

  67. Miller5252 Says:

I never got why people would want Rodgers. He just acts like a total B$&@h all the time. I would much rather have Russel Wilson. IF, IF heā€™ll pull a Brady and take a team friendly deal. No max contract

  68. Alanbucsfan Says:

Deebo Samuel is an MVP candidate. Tremendous player.
49ers are damn good- good enough to overcome Jimmy Gā€™s brain farts.
    RayJay will be rockinā€™ tomorrow!
    The table is setā€¦

  69. JoJo Says:

To be fair, AR statistically had a great game and the Fudge Packers were the better/more talented team. Niners won by sheer luck (lucky blocked punt) and their O was terrible almost the whole game save for the last drive.

What it all adds up to is if our Bucs can win tomorrow, they have a far easier opponent to beat next week. Love that.

  70. bucschamp Says:

bucs should be motivated . rams don’t want to face 49ers

  71. Pelsbuc61 Says:

Both Bucs and Rams are playing to host the NFC championship game. Should be an intense game but remember weā€™ve got Brady.

  72. SOEbuc Says:

Bucs are f#ckin hummin after watching that. LFG!!!

  73. bucschamp Says:

if bucs beat rams Tom should be MVP

  74. Snoman Says:

Would love to see a teacher against pupil matchup in the NFC Championship game with Brady breaking Jimmy Gs heart again and running him out of town again!

  75. Buddha Says:

The 49ers are well-coached and play with energy and heart. No pushover.

  76. adam from ny Says:

    tommy for mvp for sure…

and the rams are our tough match up…

we match up much better vs the 49ers…

we can just simply outscore them…like 30-20…but we gotta get there…

the rams is the tougher match up

  77. adam from ny Says:

    are*

  78. SOEbuc Says:

49ers have a good defense. Garppallo looks worse than Wentz.

  79. adam from ny Says:

so i guess aaron can go back to smoking all that weed again…

  80. Greg Says:

So, remember when Brady was (allegedly) interested in another team over the Bucs when he hit FA..and (allegedly) that coach said ā€œwe are going with our qbā€ and Brady was quoted saying (allegedly) ā€œyouā€™re going with THAT F#*in guyā€ Wouldnā€™t it be GREAT if the Bucs get by the Rams with a win, Niners come to town and that team Brady was (allegedly) talking about was indeed the Niners? Imagine how Brady would want to stick it to not only the coach but the above the coach chose over the GOAT? Shanahan would HAVE to be thinking of the conversation with Brady coming into his house! And Garapolo wonā€™t be comfortable seeing Brady either. Please Bucs get it done with the Rams so this storyline can unfold! LFG!!!!!!!

  81. bucsfanfromNE Says:

I’m so tired of hearing how good they are, they had their time, now it’s our time,,go BUCS,, Rodgers,,choke, LMAO,,choker ha ha ha ha

  82. Oneilbuc Says:

Youngbucs . Lol šŸ˜† šŸ¤£ Big Ben didn’t win another superbowl after he was paid a 100 million dollars. Rogers didn’t win a another superbowl after getting paid a 100 million dollars. I know you a national media sheep but you need to start thinking for yourself!! And Mahomes got maybe another year !! Youngbucs you are a slave to the media and their narratives !! Lol šŸ˜† šŸ¤£

  83. Pewter Power Says:

Canā€™t imagine rams arenā€™t thinking the same thing we are. If anything theyā€™d be more motivated than us by the possibility of playing the next two games at home after tomorrow. I hope we can give Brady the time he needs to dice up those safeties

  84. Oneilbuc Says:

I’ve been saying it Rogers plays for his stats !!

  85. Defense Rules Says:

That was an incredible finish. 49ers Special Teams deserve a huge bonus after that performance.

  86. adam from ny Says:

maybe tom slept thru all this, like a good boy who goes to bed early after drinking a nice hot chocolate šŸ™‚

  87. ClodHopper Says:

I thought you were playing with fire with all the choking talk, Joe, but it worked out!

  88. adam from ny Says:

    @Oneilbuc:

if fudgers plays for stats he got a big problem…and his name is tom brady…

someone is way way up on his azz šŸ™‚

  89. David Says:

    JOJO

What you just said ā€œAaron Rodgers statistically had a great gameā€
Is what is said year after year after year with him.
Heā€™s a .500 quarterback in the playoffs and at home in the playoffs.

He is a horrible leader. Ex coaches and teammates have thrown him under the bus about how he is arrogant and is the first one to tell you itā€™s not his fault, no matter what happens.

He is a great athlete at quarterback with a phenomenal armā€¦ Nothing more. I would take Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, John Elwayā€¦. Over him any day of the week and Iā€™m sure I can think of several more.

  90. David Says:

Today I finally realized why Rodgers does not win more in the playoffs. Heā€™s a great athlete, great arm, makes all the throws and usually does but when itā€™s a tight game and thereā€™s a little pressure on him he will not make the throws we know heā€™s capable of making. He tightens up and becomes way too conservative. He plays not to lose when it counts.

  91. adam from ny Says:

favre was more of a baller in the playoffs than rodgers…

    #Facts

  92. adam from ny Says:

i can’t front tho….when you flip on the tv midseason on a sunday night, and the packers or on, and things haven’t really taken shape yet for the playoffs, aaron sure is fun to watch as he slings the ball around with ease…

but yeah, dude gets all tight come post season

  93. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Iā€™m so happy Karen Rodgers lost.

  94. Bqen green Says:

One word describes Aaron Rodgers, loser! He’s a regular season QB, nothing more. You can’t host title game after title game, get beat, and be considered one of the games greats. Bottom line is, he doesn’t care enough about it. He’s not driven the same way Brady is, hell nobody is. Hold the phone on the celebration though. If the bucs are fortunate enough to win Sunday, it will be no picnic against the 9ers. They’ve got a week to heal up, and once again they’ll be in a mismatch as far as coaching goes. Going to green bay might have been the easier matchup. What’s the ole saying, be careful what you wish for. A Brady, Jimmy G title game is dripping with story lines. p.s. Mike vrabel looks like an absolute idiot for choosing that bum over Tom Brady. And that was the other team Brady was considering. The 9ers asked about Brady in a trade, and were laughed off the phone by Bill. They had no real interest when Brady was a FA

  95. SB Says:

    DoooshLaRue Says:

    Niners are banged up now.

    The Rams must be beat!
    ………….

    Amen.
Hey Onielbucs……….Where is your JayMISS watching the playoffs from right now?
Oh, that is right, same place you are.

  96. Tye Says:

NFL history there are teams that play great regular season and poop themselves in playoffs: Colts with Peyton Manning; Saints with drew brees to name a few…

Packers with Aaron Rogers is that team of today!

Beat the Rams tomorrow and a back to back SB appearance starts to look pretty good… Go Bucs!

As for bring Rogers to Bucs, HARD PASS… I’d rather give a young Tua a shot if available or even Derek Carr over Rogers…

  97. SB Says:

    Just Beat The Rams!!!!!!!!!
    That is all! GO BUCS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  98. Izod Says:

This post-season has been all about the ROAD UNDERDOG.

Home field has been meaningless so far, as both the Bengals and 48ers came out better prepared and higher energy.

The Rams are superior to us on paper, their offense has the potential to blow the top off our defense, their Special Teams are better, and if our OL isn’t at full strength, their front seven on defense is fully capable of BLANKING our offense much the same as the Saints did.

I would like our chances better if we weren’t the favorites, as paradoxical as that sounds, but you get 3 points just for being the home team. As an underdog, we might as come out with a chip on our shoulder, but not seeing us out-effort or out-talent them. The only hope is our coaching staff is better prepared.

  99. Rod Munch Says:

    OverTheCap…

    2022 cap situation…

    Packers, $40,583,067 over…
    Saints, $74,061,841 over…

  100. steele Says:

Be careful what you wish for. Bucs aside, the 49ers may be the best of the NFC teams because of their defense, which stopped GB cold, and smashmouth running game on offense. Much tougher matchup than GB would have been.

Buckle up, guys. Rams, and if they survive, then SF? That’s two hellacious physical teams in a row.

  101. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, looking at the Packers and Saints salary caps…

For the Packers, it’s almost impossible to build a decent team around Rodgers unless he restructures his deal again, even then it’s still not easy to put together a good team around him.

For the Saints however, I have no idea how they get under the cap. You can do a lot with the cap, but I don’t know how they kick the can down the road again. They have very few players they can cut and save any real money with, so they’d have to restructure a ton of guys, which means they’d stay in cap hell for years to come. The only situation might be a complete purge of the team using the post-June 1st cuts, which again, means they’d be in cap hell against next year. That’s going to be interesting to watch, how they get under it. All the rumors seemed to be they’d like bring back Winston, but unless he plays for like $2m a year, I don’t see how they’d afford him. Hill isn’t a good full-time QB, he’s a fun gadget player, but if he’s the QB, they’re going to have a very hard time even getting to .500.

  102. Rod Munch Says:

steele – 49ers are a very good team, but as far as match-ups go, the Bucs match-up better with them than the Packers. Also goes the other way around, the Packers matched-up better with the Rams than the 49ers. Finally, out of the three options, the Bucs match-up worst with the Rams.

If the Bucs are to make it to the SB, I suspect the Rams are going to be their toughest challenge. Much like last year the Redskins were their challenge.

  103. NDoGS burner Account Says:

NFC championship – Tom Brady vs. “That f*cking guy?”

  104. Crickett Baker Says:

I must be the only person on here who was shocked that the Slackers lost. I saw them as a very strong team that really played terrific in almost every game I watched. Shocked.

  105. Capt.Tim Says:

    First the Cowboys,
    Now the packers

    Good times!

  106. PassingThru Says:

What do you mean, “Aaron Rodgers choked”???

Aaron Rodgers didn’t choke. The Special Teams choked.

Last year the Head Coach choked.

The years before last, the defenses and coaching choked.

It wasn’t Aaron Rodgers who choked.

It wasn’t Aaron Rodgers fault. It is never Aaron Rodgers fault. Ever.

At least according to Rodgers, his fan boys, and most of the sports writers who pretend to understand this game

  107. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilaints writes long stories about nothing lol. Hey oneilaints what happened to the great belichick his defense? His run game????? Belichick resume without TB continues to get uglier.

  108. Defense Rules Says:

Rod … It’s not just the Saints & Packers doing that with their salary CAP situations for 2022; lots of other teams (including us) are doing that also. Saints were all-in for Brees (big, deferred salary), but when he retired prior to this season the Saints paid the price for deferring it (and will again in 2022). Different situation with Rodgers; huge salary (over $46 mil in 2022) that they haven’t deferred (yet), but that’ll eat them alive in 2022 AND make him virtually untradeable IMO.

Almost all of the top contenders this year have used similar approaches (kicking the can down the road?), including our Bucs. But when you have Tom Brady as your QB, you provide him with the support & the weapons he needs to compete for the crown. Patriots didn’t, and it cost them. Patriots paid out 15% of their salary CAP ($31-$32 mil) in 2020 and again in 2021 for Dead CAP (to players who’d been traded or released). That takes a big toll.

  109. mark2001 Says:

Don’t worry about AR coming to Tampa. The Diva always insists on top salary among QB’s. And we would have to trade away about 5 of our other best players to afford him.

  110. bucschamp Says:

Aaron Rodgers career is in jeopardy!

    wait….

  111. Eddie Marz Says:

Who in their right mind would want rogers over Brady? rogers team just LOST and thatā€™s who you want? Iā€™ll stick with Brady and forget all you losers. GOBUCS!

  112. Waco Says:

Karen Rodgers is going to put his hair up, take a bubble bath and think about his future. I donā€™t know how such a d-bag is in the running for MVP again. He has proven over and over again how he canā€™t be counted on when it matters most. To me, that is NOT an MVP.

Honestly, I donā€™t think Brady gives a frosty fart about being league MVP. Sure Karen may win his fourth MVP, but Brady is a five-time SB MVP. Itā€™s just like the Pro Bowl, Brady could care less. He NEVER wants to play in that game because he wants to be preparing for the SB. Iā€™ll take the guy who has played in 10 SBs and won 7 over Karen Rodgers and his man bun.

  113. Buc Fan South Tampa Says:

(When we win today); Great storylines; John Lynch (Niners GM) is coming home. Jimmy G will be playing his mentor, and kickoff at 6:30 Sunday on a Gasparilla weekend. We need to take care of business today, but damn what a great time to be a Bucs fan.

  114. Bucs Guy Says:

Karon Rodgers = Playoff Choke Artist

  115. D-Rome Says:

I wish I could paste images of my text messages here because I told everyone that would listen before the game that the 49ers would win it. I also said in an NFC Championship Game I’d be more worried about the 49ers than the Packers.

There’s something different about that team. Their entire 53 man roster is very good and they are very tough.

  116. Kgh4life Says:

Roger’s should’ve had least three superbowl rings by now.

  117. Rik Says:

Good luck beating The Rams. Why you all conveniently and stupidly look past that is beyond me. Brady is the only reason youā€™re anywhere, so I guess overconfidence is normal, but it doesnā€™t hide the fact they own you. Letā€™s see if they still donā€™t after Sunday.

  118. SchlomieBarmitzvahScissorCohen Says:

Rogers didnā€™t lose that game. You all are not only delusional but also dishonest.

  119. ClodHopper Says:

Rewatching this game on NFL Network right now. So many dropped balls that were perfect passes. That’s why Brady deflated balls. No one can catch a rock hard frozen football.

  120. Jmarkbuc Says:

    David..

There a word for this conditionā€¦

ā€œbut when itā€™s a tight game and thereā€™s a little pressure on him he will not make the throws we know heā€™s capable of making. He tightens up and becomes way too conservative. He plays not to lose when it counts.ā€

  121. David Says:

They are replaying the game right now. The blocked punt just happened and San Fran just tied it. I was in the kitchen and just heard the call ā€¦.
    Made me laugh out loud.

A blockfield goal, blocked kick, & a big return by Deebo at one point in the game.
Every special teamā€˜s coach in the NFL should use this game as an example as to why special teams are so important. San Franā€˜s defense was great but they had no business winning this game. Special teams put them into the NFC championship

  122. orlbucfan Says:

I called it last week on my post. 49ers win in GB & then we host the NFC Champ Game here!!! Now we only have to beat a stout Rams D!!! Protect TB12…

Rodgers must have been “immunized” against losing as effectively as he was against COVID.

This made me very happy!! I can’t stand Rogers arrogance and he’s such a choker!! You can’t be considered great until you win when everything is on the line…. I’m sure he’ll go into the hall of Fame with his measly one super bowl win…. But in all honesty, is Rogers really “great”

  126. crazyBucs_CL Says:

there are indications the TB12 may retire after this run.
    Bring Rodgers here!

  127. Pigsueybucsfan Says:

Maybe Jimmy G should be yelling “i own you packers” like Erin did to the Bears! Lol

  128. Rik Says:

If the Bucs lose today which is very likely being the Rams own the Bucs, Bā€™s terrible pass defense, brain dead coach etc, knowing Brady he would never go out with a loss unless he sucked at the position. For a 44 year old having 43 TDs he clearly doesnā€™t suck. Besides, only 44 not 45 as he said heā€™d play to. The retirement rumors are a bluff to get Arians fired or forcing him to retire which is in play. Rams will likely win because this is a bad matchup for you. If you do win itā€™ll likely be because of a fluke play or Brady marching down the field. However, never assume you have already won because youā€™ve not even played the divisional game yet. Enjoy a lot of sacks. Good luck..

Rodgers isnā€™t a great playoff QB when compared to the greats. Sometimes it is what it is. Constant excuses by his enablers all over the media and those without eyeballs, when he does the same crap every year and he has for tons now. Elite arm but when you need a winning drive, heā€™s nowhere to be seen. Well, at least in the playoffs that is. Definition of a stat machine regular season QB. Although, hey at least he has 1.
