Deep Bucs Injury Report

January 5th, 2022

Lot of banged up players.

Joe doesn’t remember seeing an injury report with so many players on it.

The Bucs listed 15 — 15! — players on today’s injury report in advance of Sunday’s regular season finale against the Stinking Panthers.

So, here we go:

Did Not Participate: OLB Shaq Barrett (knee), WR Antonio Brown (“not injury related – personal”), C Ryan Jensen (shoulder), RB Ronald Jones (ankle), OLB Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder), CB Rashard Robinson (groin), WR Justin Watson (quadriceps).

Limited Participation: WR Jaelon Darden (illness), WR Mike Evans (hamstring), CB Richard Sherman (Achilles).

Full Participation: S Mike Edwards (elbow), CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (illness), P Bradley Pinion (right hip), LB Grant Stuard (elbow), RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn (ribs).

Joe sure hopes this list doesn’t grown much bigger. Way too many injuries.

They gotta play to win on sunday. I don’t expect JPP, Shaq. Maybe evans gives it a go.

  2. gbobucsfan Says:

Dang, Watson just got healthy. Will need strong ST players in the playoffs.

  3. TiredBucsFan Says:

    We are in trouble.

  4. Tim in PSL Says:

To me what I’m seeing is 9 guys on the injury report. Six did not participate (why count AB?), and three were limited. The guys that fully participated should be a go for Sunday, no? Unless they get re-aggravated. To me nine is bad, but seems to me about 7 of the guys on this report will probably play.

Here is the very good news….IT”S JANUARY and we are concerned about injuries……..can you believe it…..we almost can take the trip to the playoffs for granted…..yet, year after year we would have been talking about the draft since October.

There has been no…..none, nada discussion of the draft or draft position.

And, that’s a very good thing.

  6. Rayjay1122 Says:

Perhaps the Bucs need to change to posting an uninjured report instead. That way there will be maybe only 1 or 2 names….. How about that? Ridiculous season this year.

  7. Coburn Says:

Crap with all thrse injuries, with Godwin out, with ab quitting you know who we need? Forget Fitz.. we need to resign Larry frickin Brackins! Him and Brady can compare notes as goats

  8. Aaron Says:

Been plagued with injuries all season and they’re not stopping. Gonna take a miracle to repeat.

  9. stpetebucsfan Says:

I’m not sure why everybody is gripping. If we can’t beat the Stinkin’ Panthers without those guys we don’t deserve a win.

Ryan Jensen is a worry since he obviously is the delivery system to the man. OTOH it might be good to get his backup some snaps in a real game and rest Jensen. Jensen can dress and if it doesn’t work he could get pressed into service.

At this point I look for ONE number participating…#12 !!!!

I still can fathom what happened Sunday! I’ve seen this kind of a comeback but wow…NO TIMEOUTS…need a TD a FG is not enough…2:00 in horrible field position…star WR has had a nervous breakdown on national TV…ME13 and others distracted on the sidelines…who knows how the locker room was…

And freaking Brady does it! We take it for granted but the more I think about it the more I’m stunned. Then when I add it up with his comebacks against playoff teams….I’m beginning to wonder if TB12 is a real human being.

why 17 games is a bad idea

  11. gbobucsfan Says:

What is Paris Warren up to these days?

  12. DG060 Says:

Ya best recalibrate your post season expectations folks.

  13. buc15 Says:

gbobucsfan – you know it’s bad when Paris Warren gets brought up lol

  14. Jerry Says:

I’ve said over and over since Halloween that the 2nd round is this team’s ceiling. That’s my expectation and still is.

  15. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    I agree with DG060,
    Post season expectations : recalibrated

  16. Irishmist Says:

Terrell Owens says he is available.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Our Bucs injury list looks like a whole civil war platoon was knocked out. I say rest’em all.

  18. Jerry R Jones Says:

Ships sinking. Gotta plug the holes and hope the patches hold.

  19. IrishTony Says:

Everyone’s back for the playoffs. The only player I’m slightly concerned about is LVD. He’s a team player and will be out there against Philly or Frisco.

  20. IrishTony Says:

My expectations are a Super Bowl win. The NFC is average at best including the packers and their malcontent QB who barely got by the Browns.

  21. SlyPirate Says:

Love seeing the CBs are all working out.

  22. IrishTony Says:

Anyone on this site questioning this team chances to repeat needs to take their negative pre-Brady loser juju elsewhere. I’ve been on this site pre Jamies and it’s the sam ol naysayer nonsense.

  23. cmurda Says:

Terrell Owens. Seriously. Just do it. This team will go down as the craziest Championship winning team in the history of sports. 48 year old T.O and 44 year old T.B pace the Bucs offense.

  24. Defense Rules Says:

@firethecannons … ‘why 17 games is a bad idea’. At this point it doesn’t matter much if the season was 16 games or 17 games. Bucs are badly beaten up. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but danged, hard to go deep with so many guys injured.

Bizarre thing is that those 15 on the injury report don’t include several critical players we’ll be needing in the playoffs to even have a minimal chance of progressing. Still hoping that guys like LVD & Fournette can make it back for the 1st playoff game. The injury report also doesn’t include guys like Whitehead & Dean who’ve been banged up recently & are more than likely not even close to 100% at this point. Wow, talk about limping into the playoffs.

  25. captivajim Says:

Why don’t we cut Sherman ?
make a spot on our roster for someone who can actually PLAY……..

If he’s such a great coach for DB’s —hire him as a coach ..

with all the injuries–we could use guys on either side of the ball…
