Bucs To Host Philadelphia At 1 P.M. On Sunday

January 9th, 2022

It’s official! And Joe suspects the Bucs are damn happy with their time slot. No team wanted to be cursed with the Monday night game.

Stock up on Big Storm beer immediately!

Not bad. More time to heal up. Hope they can get Fournette back.

  2. Francisco Guzman Says:

Don’t understand a team playing on a Monday night. The nfl is ridiculous.

  3. SKBucsFan Says:

That was the best possible option for game time.

  4. Bird Says:

    I will be there

  5. Derek Says:

    Perfect!

  6. Jerry Says:

Quite a few years back the NFL eliminated MNF in the final week of the year because it was unfair to wild card teams. So what did they do this year? They added a MNF game in the wild card round! That’s just stupid!

like it on sunday and like it at 1pm

  8. Rod Munch Says:

Any word on why the field was in such bad shape today and guys were slipping and falling all afternoon?

Flying in from Scottsdale to watch the Bucs smash the Eagles!

I have only been to 1 HOME Bucs game in my life and half the stadium was empty (Lovie Smith Years)

I have always dreamed of going to a sellout Bucs playoff game.

Now I get to go to a sellout Bucs playoff game WITH the GOAT !!!

We are blessed Bucs fans!! Let’s get the stadium rocking!!!!!!!!

Amen! Do I hear an Amen?

Sunday at one, sounds like fun. Sound like a win (which does not rhyme).

  11. JimbobBucsFan Says:

    Good night, y’all!

I can’t believe they’re having a Monday night playoff game. Seems rather unfair to give one team a short week like that

OK wild Sunday Night Game is over.

    Think about it.

    Super Bowl
Bucs vs Raiders in the stadium the Chargers call home.

  14. Beeej Says:

Last game I attended was…Ray Perkins

  15. Rod Munch Says:

Beeej – The first game I attended was with Ray Perkins… December 4th, 1988, Bucs win 10-5.

Bucs were 4-10, Bills were 11-3.

    Was an exciting game.

  16. FortMyersDave Says:

Raiders decided to try the FG as they must have realized playing the Bengals as the #5 seed would be a better matchup than playing the Chiefs as the 7 seed. Bills now get the Pats instead of the Chargers. Why did SD take that timeout? Raiders were content to tie until the Chargers basically let them get into Carlson’s range.

MNF playoff games are all about the coin, extra revenue with an additional primetime game, that is why the playoffs were expanded in the first place as well as keeping middling 8-8 teams in the hunt until the final week.

  17. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, I was there, nice goal line stand by the Bucs in that one. Had seats in the south end zone. I was at the final game of that season too: Bucs beat the Lions 21-10 to go 6-10 but fell from #3 to #6 in the draft order missing out on Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders and Derrick Thomas who went 3,4,5. Had to love those Perkins years: go 6-10 by sweeping the 4-12 Pack and Lions and getting a couple of upsets on the way…..

  18. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – I was 13 at the time, first time I had ever been to Tampa Stadium for anything that wasn’t a monster truck show. Also in 90 went to the Vikings game that Bucs also won, where Vinny had a 48-yard TD run. As far as I remember, those are the only games I went to as a kid, until I bought season tickets in 97.

But yeah, losing that game would have been in the best interest of the franchise. Still Broderick Thomas was vastly underrated, the guy was a good player, just stuck on a bad team. His stats, from an era when the teams kept their own tackle stats, are insane. In 1991, 174 tackles, 11 sacks, 7 FF – and if I recall, didn’t make the pro-bowl. Insane, would be like Lavonte David being a 1st team all pro in 2013 and yet not making the pro-bowl.

My 1st games were in 1983. Moved to Tampa in 1982. Went to every home game that year as part of the Buccaneer’s Band. Fortunately, I do not remember them.

The only good thing about going to the games that season, is that the Raiders for the 1984 Superbowl wanted to have a band play for their cheerleaders.

I got selected to be part of that group through my association with the Buc’s and not only played for the cheerleaders but got a pregame on field pass for the Superbowl. Pretty cool memory.

Geno, my older (by 4 years) friend was in the Bucs’ band that year & made the Raiders his AFC team because of the same SB experience. I was in the Bucs’ band in 1989, it’s last year. Drummers, both of us.

Rod, I Believe that I was at that game, also. The Bills went on to play in their first of 4 lost Super Bowls, if I am not mistaken. “We beat a SB team”, I later thought! Ingrained loser mentality!

  22. BBro Says:

My first game attended was the first ever home win at the ole Sombrero we beat St. Louis Cardinals 17-7 and the week before was the Bucs first ever win at the suckin Saints
