Silencing The Haters

December 17th, 2021

Proving doubters wrong.

Bucs running back Playoff Lenny, in his many interviews since getting cut by the Jags last year, and especially in his interviews this year, holds back little of his disdain for the Jacksonville organization that jerked him around.

He sure has shut up the haters. He’s done the same for Chris Simms as well.

Simms, a former Bucs starting quarterback and now a talking head on Peacock and NBC, stuck up for Playoff Lenny when the Bucs signed him last year and Simms said he took hell from Playoff Lenny’s haters.

This week, Simms admitted on his podcast “Unbuttoned” that he likes to rub the haters’ noses in the dog droppings whenever Playoff Lenny makes a play. So when Simms was breaking down Playoff Lenny’s touchdown run against Buffalo, Simms gave his and Playoff Lenny’s haters a virtual middle finger.

“Lenny is still legit,” Simms said. “I want to get at all the people who told me, ‘Aw, what are you talking about? Leonard Fournette’s done’ last year. People were killing me when I said [signing Playoff Lenny] was a great move.

“But now, I don’t hear them any more. They’ve gone somewhere.”

Playoff Lenny shut them up, likely for good, the way he balled out in the playoffs last year.

Joe thinks it is wild how so many people were on the Giovani Bernard bandwagon mainly because he could catch a football. But in the process, Playoff Lenny has morphed into Bernard and has in some ways become one of Tom Brady’s favorite targets.

Lenny will come in handy in Green Bay in late January when it’s 3 degrees & 80k fans this time

  4. PSL Bob Says:

that one-handed touchdown catch last week was a thing of beauty. He’s become a ligit 3-down RB. And we’ve got a capable backup in ROJO.

Jax has a way to of ridding itself of its best. Something is funky going on up there, and usually if the fish stinks at the tail, it stinks at the head.
We buc fans remember all to well ownership ghost of the past here in tampa.

[That’s not very nice Mr. Anonymous. — Joe]

In jax, they look for reasons to get rid of their Best. Best players, best coaches.
Case in point, in jax they cut Lenny, a highly talented running back that don’t grow on trees. They are rare and few and far between.
In Tampa, ownership sucks up Antonio browns issues in order to keep the roster stacked so the ultimate goal is more achievable. Winning this years super bowl.
We are fortunate to have a wise ownership group these days imo.

  9. Stone crab sam Says:

You see, it’s not about being nice and proper, it’s about winning this years super bowl. I mean isn’t that the ultimate goal.
    Winning is not everything,
    It’s the only only thing.

Something that is bothering me, is when you make a comment about something that other people disagree, you are labeled as a ¨hater¨….I just don´t get it….I didn´t like how Jameis played, and some told me I was a hater……years ago I said that Donovan Smith was giving the image of a a lazy player, and I became a hater…..Since when you comment something others disagree and you are a hater?????

    Come on now!!!

We are going in the wrong direction….

Freaking love that guy. I’d love to see what he can do when he gets 20-24 carries.

  12. SB Says:

@Pete………When does it dip to 3 degrees in Tampa?

  13. sauron's eye Says:

the Jags are a dumpster fire. They got nothing for Lenny. What were they thinking?

I feel ya. It’s everywhere. Social media let’s people vent their spleen 24/7, whether they have any idea what they’re talking about, or if any of it is actually true.

  15. Stone crab sam Says:

It’s systemic. There are so many commentators out now, looking for advertising dollars thru viewership market share that they will say anything to capture eyeballs. The system creates all this nonsense. Look at Steven a for a prime example.

I love Lenny, but man I wish Rojo would get his head out of his arse and break a few long runs when he gets his rare opporrunities because we could have a Powerful, Dynamic 1-2 punch if both of those guys start Beastin…..

*Also, side note… If anyone here likes Salvador Dalí, you check out this new series of masterpiece artworks I’ve created called ‘Faces of Dali’ on my site link above. I’m ecstatic with how great this series turned out to be

  20. Bucsfanman Says:

Lenny really has become a three down back. Because we really don’t run much, it’s hard to say what type of run team/style we are. That said, he seems to be a logical fit, the perfect back for our “system”.

  21. Buc4evr Says:

Erik, wow nice work!, very impressive…I like.

Thank you, I’m so happy with this series and now I just want to share it with the world, to the best of my capability…
