Repeat Of The Super Bowl?

December 19th, 2021

Shaq Dance tonight?

Joe can still vividly remember how Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett ran freaking wild on the Chiefs and Pat Mahomes in the Super Bowl. That may just happen today.

One reason Shaq went wilding was the beaten up Chiefs’ offensive line. One of the best pass rushers in the game squaring up against a backup tackle is often, as Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians would say, “not a fair fight.’

Well, a repeat of Shaq’s performance is setting itself up today. The slimy Saints, aside from missing Sean Payton who came down with “The Sickness,” will also be without their starting offensive tackles Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk, both with knee injuries.

And this comes just as Shaq has been playing strong football.

“I think Shaq has been playing at a really high level for a while now,” Arians said Friday. “Again, a lot of pressures and a big strip-sack in Indy. Shaq is playing really, really well.”

So Shaq has hit his stride and the slimy Saints are turning to two backups tonight at the tackle positions.

Perfect timing to win an NFC South title!

ROP’s with Hill and Kamara must be a focus for Bucs’ D tonight. Cannot allow a repeat of Bills’ 4th quarter offense last week.

  2. Winny Testaverde Says:

I don’t expect Hill to drop back and hold the ball long enough for Shaq to do his usual damage. The Bucs will face a Herculean effort from The Taints Last Stand of 2021. Almost a must win if the Bucs want momentum and at least a top two seed for the playoffs.

I don’t know how I got it but I had the first Saints game recorded and rewatched it this morning. Bucs defense is so much better than they play. They are just so undiscipline especially White, he is so good but at times clueless of basic principles, his speed is crazy and that’s how he makes up for his short falls. He can put himself completely out of a play and chase it down out of nowhere. Again if they could get more discipline I could definitely see another SB run.

  4. Bbro Says:

Hopefully Shaq and other members of the defense takes da ain’ts apart. There’s a great article on goodnewsnetwork.org where a school basketball team is texting other members about practice and accidentally gets Bunting number in the mix. Check it out a real cool happening.

  5. Hodad Says:

Shaq should do nothing this game besides chasing Hill all day. I would not have him drop into coverage once. See Tayson Hill, get Tayson Hill until you’re sure the ball is out of his hands go after him. David, and White make sure Kamara goes nowhere, and we win easy.

ID SELL OUT ON STOPPING THE RUN AND MAKE HILL BEAT US WITH THE PASS.. EVEN IF THE GET A COUPLE GOOD THROWS ALL THROUGHOUT…NO WAY HILL CAN BEAT US PASSING CONSISTENTLY…keep 8 in the box if that’s what it takes… TBH IM SURPRISED WERE FAVORED BY 12 points…btw i love Rondae’s film session on youtube…

  7. Cobraboy Says:

I will say if neither Saints starting OT’s are active, that’s a huge advantage for the Bucs. Both are seriously solid linemen and very difficult to replace.

  8. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Yes, both of their starting tackles are out, but their General Manager Mickey Loomis knows how to draft talent. So expect their backups to play well.
Not as well as their starters to be sure, but well enough to not make things easy for us.

    Not holding my breath.

We’ve played multiple teams with o-line injuries this year and we’ve yet to take advantage of them…

Let’s see a bunch of Cam Gill opposite Shaq on passing downs. JPP is just too banged up, god love him.

  11. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Do you think Peyton is the fool that Andy Reid was by not giving them help? Highly doubtful it will make a difference. JPP won’t make a difference so they’ll roll the help over to Shaq who will then disappear. Our zone defense that we’re sure to play in can’t stop slants, crossing or deep routes let alone a marqui player like Kamara. It gets tired even when sitting on the sideline for six minutes. I have no faith in this defense only the offense. We can only win if offense didn’t turn the ball over

Hey RONDE HOF dude change your name to spell the man’s name correctly since you’re such a fan of his. There’s no A in it. Makes no sense after all these years of fans seeing his name they are still are too stupid to get it right

I was just telling a buddy on the golf course that I think Tryon and Shaq Have a good game. In fact, I see the D line and D white racking up some numbers as they had into the playoffs
