Jason Pierre-Paul Is Out For Sunday

December 25th, 2021

Out.

Just as Ian Rapoport reported, the Bucs will be without their injured star outside linebacker.

The Bucs announced several minor roster moves today, with the exception of one. JPP was been downgraded on the injury report to out for Sunday’s game at the Stinking Panthers.

Yesterday, Rapoport of NFL Network reported JPP would not play, despite his injury designation of “doubtful.” Seems Rapoport has a good source.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus. This is a Christmas MIRACLE 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅

  2. Conte Piscatelli Says:

This is a good call. We need to get healthy, one more win in the next three games should give us the division and we aren’t going to get the one seed even if we win out.

  3. Tampabuscsbro Says:

    This is the right call.

  4. Defense Rules Says:

It’d take many months for JPP to get healthy, but at least a 1-3 game reprieve will keep him from getting hurt any more than he already is. Plus it’ll be good to see what JTS do with a full-game’ worth of snaps. Opportunity’s knocking; time to shine rookie.

  5. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

Good. Keep him out until he can be effective on the field.

  6. Kentucky Buc Says:

    Cam Gill

  7. Cobraboy Says:

The new punter elevated from the PS? Will he be punting tomorrow?

  8. Francisco Guzman Says:

Looking at the packers i don’t know how we should be scared even with the injuries to play them. Bucs have enough weapons even with the godwin injury. Their defense is suspect as well.

  9. orlbucfan Says:

That is one way to get JPP to retire. He’s old and suffering chronic injuries. Let JTS/VV work together. LVD is also not playing. There are a few DBs getting back to being in game shape. The defense will play very well. GO MIGHTY BUCS DEFENSE!!

  10. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Baker Mayfield blows. 🤦‍♂️

  11. Listnfrmafar Says:

Francisco, talk about bad play calling. Just under 2 min left in 1/2 and they throw on 1st down. Why give Roger’s any time left on the clock.

  12. Listnfrmafar Says:

    And Cleveland had 3 to’s

  13. cmurda Says:

No matter how bad things are, it will feel like Utopia if you imagine yourself as a Browns fan. That franchise stinks. Their QB stinks. The O Line has regressed. The coaching is brutal. Landry is washed up. The 3rd pick was because Baker and Jarvis have no chemistry whatsoever. Browns will miss playoffs somehow.

  14. Kentucky Buc Says:

Mayfield might as well be playing for the Packers.

  15. Francisco Guzman Says:

Cmurda Rodgers is building up that mvp case. I hope he gets it. I hope everyone rides this packers team. I look at this packers team and they’re very beatable. I just hope the Bucs can get a healthy fornette and evans back. If they do we can beat the packers.

  16. Francisco Guzman Says:

Browns defense looks like they’re not even trying.

  17. cmurda Says:

Takes a 12 yard sack on 3rd down. Baker is horrific. I would not want him as a backup. He’s holding that team back. Not that their receivers are anything but every throw is off and late…. this game and his whole career.

  18. Francisco Guzman Says:

Cmurda i think his time is up. I will be surprised if cleveland brung him back.

  19. Francisco Guzman Says:

This browns defense gets too much hype. Can they get a stop?

  20. cmurda Says:

Baker late again and nearly picked. He is very brutal. The Browns would be a force with a QB

  21. Francisco Guzman Says:

Too many brutal penalties by the brownies.

  22. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Complete 🤡. Go away mayfield.

  23. cmurda Says:

Wow. That O Line is a shell of its former self but Baker is the laughingstock of QB’s. What a frigging imbecile taking 2 sacks in a row to blow the chance at points. He’s done. The best he can hope for is being a backup in the future. He’s terrible.

  24. cmurda Says:

Refs called the Browns for a false start when the Packers were offsides. More fantastic NFL officiating.

  25. Ben green Says:

If Baker were half the qb he is an actor things would be bright in Cleveland. He’s just too easy to defend. With 125 yards from a wife beater of a back he’s quite average. About 3 or 4 throws a game make you always wanting more.
As for the half handed bandit, any gm who resigned that waste of a good lineman should be ground up into fireworks and shot from Tommy’s yacht

  26. Ben green Says:

Cmurda, thanks to the cheapest owners in pro sports, this is what they payed for. Make them full time employees of the league, without other careers. Then you wouldn’t have lawyers or Kinkos employees trying to decide what PI is

  27. Ben green Says:

Officiating in the NFL is almost as subjective as it gets. All we ever asked for is consistently. Too much of my masters game plans called for light or heavy contact, depending on the crew. If MLB is kicking your ass when it comes to consistency……..

  28. Francisco Guzman Says:

Don’t know how anyone is afraid of this packers team. They’re very beatable.

  29. Ben green Says:

Greenbay with fans would be a much different atmosphere, especially a playoff game. Not saying it’s impossible by any stretch, but it won’t be like last year, injuries aside

  30. Francisco Guzman Says:

Ben Green that team has plenty of holes. They’re not world beaters even with a crowd.

  31. Francisco Guzman Says:

Packers luck out again. Never seen a team win so many close games like the packers have. Their luck will eventually run out.

  32. Jerry Says:

Packers are going to have the first seed. They are getting all the calls and all the luck this year.

  33. cmurda Says:

That has to end the Baker experiment in Cleveland. He was a bad pick from the very beginning but it would be even more egregious at this point. That should have been a penalty but GB doesn’t get called for penalties. That’s actually an obvious penalty as I see the replay. People talk about Brady getting calls. Have you witnessed a GB game at home?

  34. Steve Says:

Packers should have lost last two weeks in a row.

  35. Francisco Guzman Says:

Cmurda refs love bailing out Rodgers. Anyway the packers don’t scare me one bit. Bucs need to get a healthy fornette and evans back.

  36. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs need to win out and get a second seed. They’re much alive in that but they have to beat the panthers tomorrow. Have to.

  37. Listnfrmafar Says:

How can Roger’s who we know is NOT vaccinated, hug Erin Andrew’s and both not wearing masks?

  38. Joe in Michigan Says:

JPP is one of my favorite all-time Bucs (Derrick Brooks and Hardy Nickerson are 1 and 2 on my list). He gave it his all, but like me, Father Time has taken its toll.

  39. Beeej Says:

My hope is we don’t even up going to Green Bay in January

  40. cmurda Says:

@List. Because they are both human beings. We aren’t designed to wear masks unless performing surgery… Nevermind. Joe gets his panties in a wad when I play “common sense” I mean medical expert.

  41. Jerry Says:

Very high probability that in order to get back to the Super Bowl, we are going to have to go back up to Lambeau.

  42. Francisco Guzman Says:

Jerry packers are a beatable team. They’re not a physical team. I think we match up very well with them. Need evans to be healthy though and get a healthy fornette.

  43. cmurda Says:

I’m not sure who to pull for in the Cards – Colts game. It would seem obvious to pull for Colts but then the Rams could take the division and they have the tie-breaker on us. I’m not overly worried about seeding but I’m still going to root for the #2 seed

  44. Jeff Says:

Rest em up. We need him for the Wild Card round.

  45. Francisco Guzman Says:

Jeff they’re not gonna rest players if they’re healthy. That’s a bad mistake. You want this offense to find an identity right now without godwin heading into the playoffs.

  46. Francisco Guzman Says:

Cmurda rams have a tough schedule ahead.

  47. Purplepirate Says:

“How can Roger’s who we know is NOT vaccinated, hug Erin Andrew’s and both not wearing masks?”

Rogers recently had covid. He’s more vaccinated than anyone who got the vaccine.

  48. Jerry Says:

Bucs now the 4th seed. Rams move up to 3.

  49. firethecannons Says:

    Baker==jameis Winston

  50. Francisco Guzman Says:

Jerry rams still have a tough schedule. Bucs just need to win tomorrow. They can’t drop the game.

  51. Francisco Guzman Says:

All the Bucs need to do is win out and the rams lose one of their remaining 3 games and they will be the second seed.

  52. Sparky Says:

Hell, it’s still possible for the Bucs or Cowgirls to get the 1 seed. Not likely, but possible. I don’t see any reason Minnesota can’t beat Green Bay with a healthy does of Dalvin. For the playoffs, our best hope is to play Sf or AZ in the first round, they don’t scare anyone now. Then hope GB draws Dallas in the second round and they throw Ezekiel down their throats.

  53. PassingThru Says:

It wasn’t just Mayfield being terrible; Cleveland lost because of Stefanski. Cleveland had GB on its heels repeatedly during the game as GB could not stop the CLE running attack. Yet after sustaining consistent gains and long drives, Stefanski and his idiot OC (Van Pelt) would suddenly switch gears and waste downs by having Mayfield pass. Just stupid, brain-dead football.

The game ended exactly that way. CLE had all timeouts remaining, was midfield, and had GB struggling as they couldn’t stop the CLE run with one minute remaining. The commentators even mentioned that they thought CLE would keep the ball on the ground. And yet CLE threw three times, not only failing to get a first down that would have put them in FG range, the last pass was intercepted. Yes, Mayfield sucks, but the play calls are what doomed Cleveland.

  54. orlbucfan Says:

I’m not worried about seeding. I just want to Bucs to win the NFC South. I recently got a lecture from a good friend who is a Cajun Aints fan. He said point blank every NOLA fan would gladly swap places with us in a nanosecond. Between their QB woes and Covid, they’ve been lucky to get any wins. I saw some of that Browns-GB mess. Browns would have beat GB except for those picks. GB sure isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Happy Holidays everyone!
