“I Could Give A Sh!t What They Think”

December 20th, 2021

Responds to critics.

Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians had strong, direct words for the critics and virtue signalers who have decried his decision to bring back furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing, fake-V-card-flashing receiver Antonio Brown.

Last year when the Bucs signed Brown — despite Arians months earlier saying he had no use for Brown — Arians noted that if Brown slipped up just once with his checkered past, he would be launched.

Today in his day-after presser, Arians fielded several questions about bringing Brown back after he (and safety Mike Edwards) served a three-game suspension for flashing a fake V-card to skirt NFL/NFLPA protocols for The Sickness.

The Wall Street Journal recently reported that Brown did in fact get his jab some three weeks after flashing the fake V-card.

Arians was asked how much he weighed the real possibility that folks would skewer him in public considering his statement last year that Brown was on a no-tolerance policy.

Arians’ response was quite short, yet blunt.

“I could give a sh!t what they think,” Arians said of the critics. “The only thing I care about is this football team and what is best for us.”

Also in the press conference, Arians noted Brown has been just about a model citizen since joining the Bucs (before flashing the fake V-card and not factoring in the boxing match he had with a Titans defensive back in training camp). That was a major factor in Arians’ decision, the Bucs coach said.

Bruce isn’t a good coach. Our season would be over unless Tom told him to keep AB

  2. Larry Says:

Amen! They get paid to second guess. The hell with them. the Bucs are better with Brown, no matter what your personal opinion of him is.

  3. Medicated Pete Says:

Bruce is too busy writing books & doing National radio interviews every week to care about anything else

  4. ModHairKen Says:

I think this guy just got fueled by the Saints game, and the team will follow suit. Hells Bells.

  5. ModHairKen Says:

All you critics can FO. You were all whining last year, too. Go cheer for the Packers. Losers.

  6. ModHairKen Says:

Pete, you are a closet Bills or Browns fan. Just delete this website from your phone.

  7. Architek Says:

Williams kept going for the knees on every play. No one co fronted him or paid him a visit in the scrum. Very disappointing.

  8. Listnfrmafar Says:

A SAVIOR IS BORN! Simple answer, the NFL already punished them. Game over.

  9. ClodHopper Says:

It’s all about one equation: Does your talent outweigh your baggage? Brown’s does. Mattress in the yard, knife in the thigh Mike Williams did not

  10. BitcoinTom Says:

Bet you 100 bucks tom was shouting at staff to keep ab on the team.

  11. Conte Piscatelli Says:

It’s a phony vax card, big whoop. He didn’t beat someone, flash a gun, get drunk and wreck his car. Seriously, this is less of a deal to me than someone using an unapproved supplement and getting popped for a PED. Look at the outbreaks on other teams right now, tell me how many of those teams vax cards are being scrutinized? Only reason brown got suspended is because the league was worried about getting some bad press.

  12. BigPoppaBuc Says:

I hope these guys are ready. Last thing the NFL wants is the Bucs winning another Super Bowl after this. I’ll be watching the Zebras closely for the rest of the season.

  13. BA4President Says:

You’re right Medicated Pete. BA only won NFL Coach of the Year twice, and was the head coach for a Super Bowl win in a separate year. He must be a bad coach.

  14. BA4President Says:

Also Medicated Pete, I’m pretty sure all NFL head coaches are obligated to do a quick interview with NFL Radio every week. They are not obligated whatsoever. –Joe. They spread them throughout the week so it feels more organic.

  15. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

Arians apparently also doesn’t give a sh!t about his word.

  16. D-Rome Says:

If you think Antonio Brown should be off this team over a vax card then you’re not a Bucs fan.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Father Dungy was critical of the Bucs decision last night on national TV. But, its the organizations decision. I guarantee you though, Brown is lucky to still be on the team. Its only because he is great and we urgently need his services.

  18. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

““I couldn’t give a sh!t what they think,” Arians said of the critics. “The only thing I care about is this football team and what is best for us.”

I don’t always agree with BA, but A-FREAKIN-MEN, to that.

even I agree 100% with this mentality, “sh!t” mentality, I don’t trust BA; this decision was force by TB12 before the last night game, and even more from CG/ME/LF injuries.
Still he wants to show like tough/don’t care for media HC.
    NOT true; FAKE!

By the way BA, how hard is to remember the abbreviations OBJ now???

  20. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

I like this response by BA

  21. cmurda Says:

I don’t know about crapping on BA for this. I like him being honest and shooting it straight. The players appreciate that too. The coaching gameplan and getting the most out of this team? I would understand that criticism.

  22. Dew Says:

Still believe Dungy’s comment was a stab in the back.

  23. Stone crab sam Says:

Dungy is a joke of a coach. He underachieves with Sam wyches draft picks, and with a loaded roster couldn’t finish the job in tampa. He couldn’t hold arians water bottle.
But tony you looked good on tv last nite. 😁
We got our Bucs kicked by a team that was jacked up.
    End of story. 10-4.

  24. CalBucsFan Says:

Yea, and it was also a comment he made LAST YEAR! AB has earned his status on this team, he’s not on probation anymore!

Welcome back AB, you are sorely needed, so let’s go Bucs!

  25. Izod Says:

If Bruce truly cared about what was best for this team, he’d resign and take Leftwich with him.

  26. Kelley Rose Says:

Maybe I’m wrong or don’t understand but hasn’t AB had a dispute with this personal chef for a long time. Can someone tell me how he’s still in a position to know these things about AB to tell on him??? Or is this a different chef?

  27. Morgus the Magnificent Says:

Arians…”I don’t give a sh!t about what I said previously”….how can anyone take this man at his word any longer?
