Chris Godwin Out For Regular Season

It could be worse.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says MRI tests of Chris Godwin’s sprained MCL are back and Godwin is done for the regular season.
However, Rapoport noted Godwin “should” be ready to get back on the field for the playoffs.
Joe is actually breathing a sigh of relief. This could have been so much worse.
Officially, Godwin finishes his fifth regular season with 98 catches for 1,103 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Now whats up with lenny and evans who both appear to be hamstrings which is not good. Lenny had to be helped off. Dude is tough as nails too

The hit reminded me of Dashawn Goldston hitting and injuring Vincent Jackson when the Bucs played WFT.
That hit by Goldston basically ended Vincent’s career. Not Cool

Brown’s return is now quite timely. With a better game plan and opponents that aren’t quite as difficult for this team, at least on paper, this team should right the ship. If that doesn’t happen then I’ll really start worrying.

It did appear the Saints defender purposely went low to hurt him. I saw that a lot during the game. He also gloated after Godwin stayed down.

Saints have had our number for a long time. Bucs have to change game plan moving forward and become a run first ground and pound team. Oline and TE’s can run block well , but BA has to drop the No Risk It No Biscuit Crap. The defense is capable of carrying the team.

Godwin is going to have a hard time fetching top dollar in free agency. His production is great….when he’s available but he misses a few games every year and is accumulating a lot of wear and tear early in his career. Glad we’ll have him for the playoffs, let’s hope he comes back fresh like White did last year after Covid.

Don’t get your hopes up this year people. Too many injuries to win the big game this year. Maybe next year IF Brady doesn’t retire. When he does retire, it will be back to empty stands and 6-10 every year. Be thankful they won the SB last year.

I’m beginning to see why Medicated Pete is medicated. Anti-depressant drugs are not enough. You also have to learn self regulating techniques over the long run. (“Been there, done that.” . . . Still doing that as a matter of fact.)

Been to Nola a couple of times…below sea level…basically making it a sewer while smelling as bad if not worse than one. I give Saints Fan 59 his “propers” for the season sweep. Not much else to cheer for when you’re constantly sweeping sewer water away from your joint on an annual basis. GodSpeed 59er.

DAM shame Godwin has Torn ACL …. A great player, attitude .. that’s really tough injury to come back from for a receiver.. rehab will be 9+/- months and lot of gradual training after that .. really hope he can eventually get back to the level of play he has shown this yr ..
