Analysis: Give The Points And Take The Bucs — Hard!

December 5th, 2021

Hammer time.

Time to fish out your oldest son’s college fund. It’s time for reinvestment.

And in the eyes of Mike Tanier of Football Outsiders, today is a day to make major bank with your short-term investment broker and put the kid’s college cash on the Bucs and give the points. So much that it hurts.

In Tanier’s mind, you won’t find better investments this side of Amazon. Tanier believes there is no chance the Bucs lose the — unless they turn into the Dixie Chicks.

How the Falcons Can Upset the Buccaneers:
Find 20 touches for Cordarrelle Patterson. Protect Matt Ryan, who was sacked just once in their Week 2 loss to the Bucs and was untouched by the Jaguars last week. Hope the Buccaneers suffer one of their recent penalty sprees. Don’t let Gronk go into Gronk Mode. Avoid falling behind 28-10. Don’t give up two fourth-quarter interceptions for touchdowns. Don’t be the Falcons. Be any other sports franchise on earth but the Atlanta Falcons.

Chance the Falcons Upset the Buccaneers: Ain’t happening. The Falcons are far weaker than their record suggests, and are also the Falcons. Buccaneers 34, Falcons 20.

Joe checked in the wee hours of this morning with BetMGM and the Bucs were giving 10.5.

Tanier is convinced it’s a very good investment and maybe your kid won’t need to go to a land grant school after today.

    Feeling good about my bet…I’m only giving 8. The Bucs haven’t been good at covering the spread….but they will today.

    “Take The Bucs — Hard!”

    Oh, my! The whole team?

  3. Jeff Says:

    Betting on the Bucs is a poor choice. 10.5 is a lot of points in the NFL. If the Bucs were a stock, you wouldn’t go near them.

  4. Medicated Pete Says:

    Pete’s not crazy enuff to bet on sports due to corrupt officials but it makes since to take the Falcons + the points bcuz stone cold says so

    Remember hearing the same thing before WFT?

    Control the ball on offense and get a lead;
    Get our defense off the field on 3rd down;
    Don’t take any game for granted;

    Alot of Buc fans will be at the game

  7. Roy T. Buford Says:

    I haven’t looked really closely, but would I be correct in saying if the Bucs win the next two (ATL and BUF), that regardless of what else happens they can clinch the division when the Saints are here in three weeks?

    Of course, I am focused one game at a time.

  8. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Another fan who doesn’t watch Bucs games. The Bucs will Keep the Falcons in this game and HOFer (against the Bucs) Matt Ryan will pass for 400+ yards.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

    Stop with the cake walk talk, any given Sunday and today is no different. Bucs should prepare for Atl like they were playing GB or AZ. The media wants to create a distraction that way if Atl wins that will be the reason. F everything and go kick some arse and show the NFL they can’t screw with the Bucs.

  10. Beeej Says:

    I’m torn. I lost Dalvin Cook on my fantasy team, AL READY had lost the Ravens guy before day 1, Johnson is hurt, and my only OTHER guy is playing the Patriots, which are as hard to run on as the Bucs. So I’m playing Patterson, hoping he gets 15-20 inconsequential points

    No way. Las Vegas was built on losers!!

    Loved that app! Got shut down after Joe placed some college bets Friday. 🙁

    Can’t say the name but there’s a gambling app from an Indian reservation in Canada that works in the Sunshine State.
