A Sunday For The Edge

December 15th, 2021

Shaq Barrett

How fun will(?) it be for the Bucs to lock down their first NFC South title since 2007 against the hated and slimy Saints on Sunday.

That’s what’s on the table as the Bucs (10-3) hold a four-game lead in the division ahead of New Orleans and Atlanta.

Yeah, the Saints are bad, losers of five of their last six games. And the strong news today for the Bucs is the Saints still appear banged up. Alvin Kamara has returned, but they’re till without their All-Pro right tackle, Ryan Ramczyk.

He’s missed the last four games with a knee injury and did not practice today.

Their stud bookend left tackle, Terron Armstead, rested his bad knee today, too. He played Sunday against the Jets but had missed a lot of action before that game.

Without their stud tackles firing on all cylinders, the Saints are a shell of themselves.

What an opportunity on Sunday for Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett (9 sacks) to bust double digits in just his 14th game of the season. Fellow edge rusher Jason Pierre-Paul is riding a six-game sackless streak and Joe Tryon-Shoyinka has dumped a quarterback once in his last nine games.

Hopefully we will not lose again until the 2022 season. BTW, what happened to the medicated “realist”?

  2. Wild Bill Says:

If we had a good backup JPP could rest a few games. Tryon needs a lot of work before becoming a starter. If he ever does.

  3. Jmarkbuc Says:

    It’s all right there…

    South crown
Keeping pace for the 1 seed
    National Audience

But most of all Beating the Slimy Saints!!
    Buc fans want this badly!

My daily prayer for the rest of the week: 🙏🏻

Our Brady, who art in Tampa, hallowed be thy arm. Thy bowl will come, it will be won, in Tampa as it was in New England. Give us this Sunday, our weekly win, and give us many touchdown passes, but do not let the Saints pass against us. Lead us not only over New Orleans, but deliver us to L.A. For thine is the GOAT, the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Buccaneers, now and forever…… Amen!

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I’m looking forward to some blitzes to find their mark…..Devin White all over Kamara & LVD on Hill or vice-versa.
TBBF will be there in the South Endzone……you can’t miss me…I’ll be the one in Red…..

  5. captivajim Says:

lets hope White dosen’t draw personal fowl or taunting penalties.. aint’s kno how to push his buttons .

  6. Listnfrmafar Says:

Let me tell you all this, Brady was embarrassed after the pick 6, there is NO F-ING WAY Bucs lose this game. This is a call to arms, Gronk let’s kick their arses. I bet Gronk goes off for 2 tds, because he has his brahs back.

  7. Beeej Says:

The Saints could bring in the guy who mops the floor and he would be 26 out of 32 for 350 yards

  8. SB~LV Says:

Hope the Saints play a clean game…

  9. Swampbuc Says:

With the worst tackling defense in the NFL and the Colts’ 4th quarter and the Bills’ secon half proving that the Bucs can be gouged in the run, and given that Taysom Hill is a horrible passer, I expect the Saints to wear out Kamira and Hill on the ground. Our guys are already gassed. It’s hard to watch.

  10. Listnfrmafar Says:

WOW, how often am I the positive voice of reason in this group?

Nah Pete isn’t the artist formerly know as Realist.
His posts are too short and no !!!!s.
And I believe Pete is upset on how much Brady trusted Evans this past game. Oh, and how ME won Angry Runs

  12. ModHairKen Says:

    Trap game.

  13. D-Rok Says:

Good writing and imagery there, Jmarkbuc. Well done. GO BUCS!!

  14. D-Rok Says:

Next, do the 12 Days of Bucsmas, bro.

  15. Craig Says:

At least Shaq and JPP shouldn’t have to play coverage much this week. They might do better by playing an outside contain. Taysom Hill isn’t that much of a pocket guy and sacks will probably come outside of a traditional pocket.

It will also help keep Kamara from getting the party started. It is going to be a good game, and hopefully we will put the Saints in their new place, down the rankings.

  16. PassingThru Says:

    Very nice, Jmarkbuc!

  17. Stanglassman Says:

Bucs got a big virus advantage cause a warm weather. People aren’t huddled indoors and more susceptible. Over 75 nfl players tested positive Mon & Tues. BA said that the NFL should look into this cause there’s no way they’re all breakthrough cases.

  18. Miller5252 Says:

I’m worried White is still hurt and his speed is being effective. Watching last week as the game went on White seemed to slow down. If Kamara is playing he might be able to help carry the Saints and make a game out of it. If White’s speed is effected, Kamara really worries me.

  19. Snookman Says:

This could be the nightmare game that ends it all for this Bucs team. Saints arent going to forget we killed their season by injuring Jameis. Dont think there isnt a bounty on Brady. A win is to come out of this game healthy. Im nervous. We get through this game with a win and health….its going to be a fun ride.

  20. Jerry Says:

Thin at safety. And inconsistencies against the run. Sorry to say we will have to score 30 to win.

  21. DBS Says:

Better hope the offense can play 45 mins and score 40 points. Because if the defense has to play more than 15 mins they will be tired, worn out and won’t be able to tackle. They will make a no name QB look like a Super Star.

  22. JimbobBucsFan Says:

I think our guys will NOT look past the Saints. They very well remember what the last few years have been like. New Orleans will bring their A game but it won’t be enough. Bucs Win! Bucs win! Bucs win!

  23. Francisco Guzman Says:

This team has become a mental hurdle for this football team. They need to respond on sunday night. A team that got their doors blown out by the bills as well.

  24. Mr.B Says:

Look ahead, trap game, please !!! We’re gonna knock the living snot out of them. This is our pissed off revenge game and there’s no way we don’t beat them up mentally and physically and clinch the division and knock them out of the playoff picture completely!

  25. Buczilla Says:

I’m taking nothing for granted since garbage quarterbacks eat our defense alive. I despise Payton, but he is probably the second best coach in the game behind Belichick. We have been damn good at home, so I think we win, but it’s going to be close.

  26. Orlandobucsfan#1 Says:

Referencing ordinary humans, or even extraordinary humans as if they are equal to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ are rather offensive.

  27. Howard Cosell Says:

    Yes^ even demi-gods aren’t comparable to full-blooded Anunnaki

  28. Buczilla Says:

I have the sudden urge to watch Ancient Aliens. That’s my go to when I can’t sleep.

  29. BradyBucs Says:

    It’s all about GOOD COACHING.

Payton has consistently outcoached us in the past games.

Arians, Leftwich, and Bowles have to do a better job of making adjustments.

  30. Bobby M. Says:

I think Brady & Co will make a statement this game…..similar to what the Chiefs did to the Raiders last week.
