Three Big Maybes For The Giants

November 18th, 2021

It looks like Giants QB Daniel Jones’ top target is doubtful for Monday night.

The lowly Giants are a wounded bunch.

They’ve got three name players on offense who haven’t played in weeks, but each potentially could emerge to face the Bucs on Monday.

Starting left tackle Andrew Thomas, the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, is on injured reserve but is practicing. Like Sean Murphy-Bunting and Scotty Miller of the Bucs, Thomas could be activated at any time.

Receiver Sterling Shepard (quad pull) was a no-go at practice today. He got injured against the Chiefs on Nov. 1 and hasn’t played since. He is the Giants’ most-targeted receiver.

Running back Saquon Barkley has missed the last four games with a sprained ankle but practice in a limited capacity today. Joe’s heard a lot of optimism out of New York that Barkley will be ready for Monday night.

Joe’s not concerned about Barkley’s potential return. It’s Shepard that has Joe’s attention. He’s the kind of quick underneath receiver that gives the Bucs problems, and Shepard had 8 catches against the Bucs last year for 74 yards.

    Does it even matter?
    Seriously…..

Danny Dimes will go 34/42 383yds and 3tds.
    Why?

Because he sucks and that’s what we do.

I am most concerned about their starting left tackle Andrew Thomas, who the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
He is a stud left tackle that may slam the door on our attempts to pressure whoever the Giants QB will be.

Three big maybes for the Giants game:

Will the Giants win by 3 points

    Or

Will the Giants win by 10 points

    Or

Will the Giants win by > 20 points.

The Bucs are circling the drain. At least we had one good year.

  4. Winny Testaverde Says:

Andrew Thomas is actually considered a bust…another Gettleman gaffe…trying to be the smartest GM in the league ( when maybe he’s the smartest GM in New York State…maybe).

  5. Adrnagy Says:

Put them all in to play or start. !

    We have depth!

    Yea. WTF was hurting too.

  7. Wayne Perez Says:

My grandmother could catch the ball against our defense and she is dead

  8. Doctor Stroud Says:

Once again, teams playing the Bucs love to play games with the injury report. Just prepare like all of these guys are playing.

I just LOVE how you so called BUCS fans are so quick to jump ship !! I’m 39 years old and have been a Bucs fan since I knew what I was watching. I think you all are SPOILED because of the Super Bowl win !! Can they be playing better ? ABSOLUTELY !! But to say the things you all are saying is BULLCRAP !! You must not have watched the 18 PREVIOUS YEARS OF TERRIBLE COACHES AND WASTED TALENT THAT WAS THE BUCS !! They lost 3 game’s all year . And I blame the REFS for at least one of the losses .. I’m going to be that guy who calls out all of you haters when they get healthy and win game after game after game .. And just like Brady himself said , it’s EXTREMELY HARD to win back to back Super Bowl’s .. So if they don’t win the super bowl , just go back and look at history.. Go root for a different team if your not a REAL FAN !! GO BUCS

Thank you TBDJ82! Fair weathered “fans”. I am 52 and have been a fan since day one. A Tampa native. I am a fan win or lose. Go Bucs!

    TampabayDJ82 :

You are 39? Then you were born right after the Doug Williams era, so you arrived on this planet just in time for the first Buc period of suckage, 14 years from 1983 – 1996, depending on how you count.

Then there was the 2009 – 2019 era. Wonderful.

I’m not spoiled by a Super Bowl, I’ve watched this team since 1976 and that means I’ve watched the cumulative development of the worst team in the history of American sport.

So you can take your post and put it somewhere 39 times.

74 Bucs fan — yay for you! The sun is shining even when the Bucs get their ass beaten and embarrassed, good for you! Have a sugar cookie!

  13. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

Can we please not start any line of conversion regarding the opposing team being hurt… we should win, etc….. Just regroup and get one under your belt any way that you can. Find a way but please don’t underestimate ANYONE.

  14. Swampbuc Says:

Careful, Rob, old 74 may label you a bandwagoner for having the audacity to speculate that any NFL opponent might be capable of beating the Bucs.
