Midseason All-Pro

November 4th, 2021

Tribal All-Pros.

The Tribe is making noise again. And it’s not coming from their printers.

As we have turned the calendar page to November (do people really have old school calendars outside of Hooters’?), it roughly marks the midway point of the football season. As a result, the PFF Tribe has decided to pick its midseason All-Pro team.

Despite the Bucs having a 6-2 record, only one Bucs player makes it to the Tribe’s All-Pro team. And that happens to be 44-year old quarterback Tom Brady, documents one of the Tribe’s high priests, Sam Monson.

Brady is the best blend of big plays and taking care of the football thus far in the 2021 NFL season. Even with a costly interception against the New Orleans Saints, he has the league’s best turnover-worthy play rate (1.1%), and only Derek Carr and Kyler Murray have more big-time throws than him.

Monson also points out Brady isn’t as far away from the pack as he was four games ago.

This is interesting to Joe. Does it mean the 44-year old might be tiring? If his numbers jump in the first few games after the bye, that may be a sign that the bye came at the right time for Brady.

Given all the slop Joe and other Bucs fans have tolerated for much of the past 15 years or so at quarterback, it still blows Joe’s mind that the Bucs may have the best in the league. And on top of that, the same guy is six years away from AARP eligibility.

Ali Marpet, Jamel Dean and Antoine Winfield were all named second-team.

    Agreed Oline and no Vea?

  3. Ash Says:

The omission of the oline is pretty bad marpet, wirfs, and Jensen have been playing at all pro levels

Joe! Calendars? Yes. I have three. One on my desk, one on the kitchen wall, and one in the car to log business use mileage. How do you know what day it is??

  5. David Says:

    😂 joke

  6. MR T 5150 Says:

Marpet, Winfield and Dean all made the 2nd team on the list.

  7. Kalind Says:

Not wirfs? Not vea? List is invalid right there.

  8. firethecannon Says:

and yet Joe wants to blame Brady for the loss to the Saints despite 4 touchdowns against the best defense in the league(sorry but until it aint true it is true)

  9. SOEbuc Says:

Haha. I read the article title and said “is it someone other than Tom???” Jamel Dean second team All-Pro in the same category as Marpet and AWJr??? What the hell is that??

  10. DoooshLaRue Says:

If Durable Donnie gets in we’ll all finally know the system is broken.

But yes, Wirfs and Vea should be strong candidates.

  11. DoooshLaRue Says:

    …and Marpet too.

  12. Anonymous Says:

I figured Godwin would be close, along with words, market, vea.

  13. Kentucky Buc Says:

It shows that AB and Gronk have been injured as to why he’s not as far ahead of the pack.

  14. SlyPirate Says:

I’d love it if TB12 was elected to the Pro Bowl and won MVP.

  15. Kentucky Buc Says:

Also if his numbers jump after the bye it could be because AB and Gronk are back

  16. Swampbuc Says:

Brady’s been without Gronk and AB. Such geniuses at the tribe, I’m surprised they don’t have some algorithm that compensates for loss of stuf pass catchers on the rating.

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

Jensen??? Last I checked, he’s pretty good
