“It’s A Crime”

November 17th, 2021

Bruce Arians talks Pro Bowl snubs.

Of course, the Bucs are fighting to best position themselves for a bowl game.

The Super Bowl. The Pro Bowl is not on their minds. That’s sort of a backhanded compliment to guys who couldn’t get to a Super Bowl. (See how standards have changed around here?)

Today, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians was asked about which of his players deserves a Pro Bowl bid. Arians admitted he didn’t like to talk about the Pro Bowl, in part because he does not like how players are selected.

But Arians was in a chipper mood and decided to play along.

“If Ali [Marpet] is left off it’s a crime,” Arians said. If Tristan [Wirfs] is left off it’s a crime. Maybe Donnie [Smith]. Obviously Tom [Brady] and Mike [Evans] and even Chris [Godwin].

“Defensively, Devin [White] for sure and Vita [Vea]. Everybody else has missed too much time, probably. Shaq [Barrett] if he gets back up to the sacks he has been up to.”

Joe cannot quibble with those choices. Joe was thinking maybe Lavonte David and maybe Rob Gronkowski, but as Arians said, they have probably missed too much time.

Joe likes the way Jordan Whitehead has played but not sure he is on a Pro Bowl level.

Not exactly a pro bowler but exceeded expectations in my opinion

LEONARD FOURNETTE forecasted stats for the year.
    72 catches for 536 yards
918 rushing yards with 4.3 average.

#’s could actually go up now with RJ not being utilized much anymore and easier SOS in 2nd half.

Pro Bowl? Pro Bowl? I thought we were begging for playoffs?

If we start winning they will have a better chance of getting in

Only the youngsters care about the Pro Bowl. It lost its glamour years ago. We are concerned about us being in the middle of the pack right now and our next game on Monday night.

  6. Lesco_Brandon Says:

Are the BUCS more focus on who makes the PRO-BOWL ? no wonder they look crappy on the field. Can they just focus on the GIANTS on how to stop Daniel Jones, instead of any non-sense talk.

  7. Wild Bill Says:

One game at a time should be the focus the rest of the year. Period.

  8. SlyPirate Says:

Only petty players that don’t make the postseason care about the PB.

    Think GMC.

  9. Buczilla Says:

Based off of the last two games, none of our players deserve to go to a pro bowl and don’t need to worry about the (mostly) idiot media in the northeast screwing them over like usual.

that last touchdown by WFT was off the left side of their offensive line….

Supposed ” Player of the week” devin white had responsibility for that side.. If you look at the tape -he’s focused to the center scrum.. he’s job was to prevent the EDGE rush on that side .

  11. Pewter Power Says:

Devin white is not a pro bowler this year. Understandably upset about that last year but how can he not play as well as last year and expect a different result. Like Brady said last year it’s not about pro bowl selections it’s about the championship
