“I Don’t Care. He’s Got 30 Other Ones.”

November 28th, 2021

Down a Chiclet

And the postgame quote of the afternoon goes to Bucco Bruce Arians.

When asked about Vita Vea getting a tooth knocked out in the heroic comeback win in Indianapolis, Arians replied, “I don’t care. He’s got 30 other ones.”

Arians went on to say losing a tooth in a football game “ain’t nothing.”

Pretty easy to say when it is not your grill lol

Maybe Vita could pose for a picture with the TB Lightning, plenty of missing teeth with the Hockey players lol

    VV the manbeast!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!!

Better a tooth than the game. Man some tard is going to be upset he isn’t showing compassion to Vea for the pain he went thru!

Now, we need a picture of him, holding the Stanley Cup.

  5. Francisco Guzman Says:

Our defense sucks. When will they start showing you improvement? I haven’t seen it at all.

  6. NeverGIVEup Says:

On a day that the NFL world honors Strahan in NY. Vita out gapped him.

    Bruce….that was plain mean!!!

  9. BigMacAttack Says:

I think our secondary struggles mightily in zone coverage. They were in press man when Shaq got the strip fumble. Man often buys the D line another second which can be huge. Stop playing zone so much and starting 10-12 yards off the receivers. It’s nuts and never works. And that’s all I have to say about that.

  10. Listnfrmafar Says:

Another well thought out comment. How about scoring 38 points and barely sneaking out a win, nothing on that?

  11. Francisco Guzman Says:

Packers are putting on a defensive clinic on the rams. Stafford would have 300 against us already. Wish we could play defense like that.

  12. August 1976 Buc Says:

Francisco, the Starting defense has not played more than 1.5 quarters of Football this season. Since the first half of the first game against Dallas.
It has been an uphill slog all year with the mish mash lineups trotted out to play week after week.
I just wish they could put the actual starting 11 out there, to even begin to play the kind of Defense they played last post season, and even then the Secondary was not the greatest, but they stepped up enough to get the job done.

    GO BUCS!!!!

VV was laughing on the sidelines about his tooth getting knocked out b

If BA were really tough, he would take resposibility for the playcalling fiasco, both offensive and defensive.

  16. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

A hockey player would not miss a shift with a busted tooth. Hell, some guys get skate blade cuts and a row of stitches and might miss a couple shifts.
However, Vita didn’t miss much time after having a top front tooth knocked out. Props to Mt. Vea.

  17. D-Rok Says:

    @NeverGiveUp,

I, for one, appreciate your humor. Now that was funny.

  18. FrankPillow Says:

We are better with Vita. Play him more.

  19. Rod Munch Says:

Where was Vita on the goalline late in the game when we actually needed him? He was on the sideline bent over trying to catch his breath. The guy needs to be in better shape, because it doesn’t matter how good he is if he’s too fat to be on the field when we actually need him.

I really don’t hate Vita, I just hate the people who think this guy is amazing. He’s never on the field in big situations and even if he is, he never makes a big play when it’s 3rd or 4th down. I want him to be better, and he’d do that by dropping 35-40lbs and then he could play key downs instead of having to watch Nacho get knocked back 6 yards when there’s 3:30 to go in the game and the other team is at the goalline.

    ==============

That’s the issue, you can’t play him more because he’s not in shape. He’s too fat to play more. If he lost some weight, he’d be a lot more valuable since he’d actually be on the field.

  21. PhillyBuc Says:

BA doing his best John McKay

  22. David Says:

😂 Vea did not seem to care either, he laughed about it!

  23. ModHairKen Says:

Vea is one tough and strong man. One play, The fabulous Colt RB hit Vea on the side of Vea’s body and fell down like he hit a brick wall. Then Vea gets his tooth knocked out and laughs. I haven’t seen that since the Wild Samoans in WWF days.

  24. adam from ny Says:

i think vea has def gained some weight since training camp…

the belly looked really big today…

still one of my fave players on the team…

    i think he’s prolly gained a good 20 pounds…

when vita’s tooth got knocked out, he did what all cool football players do…

he went to the sidelines, asked a trainer for some tape, pulled up his jersey, placed the tooth in his belly button hole, placed a square of duct tape over it, spit blood and fluids and went back in the game…

in the huddle jpp asked “where the fugg is the tooth, you gotta save it to show johnny the dentist”…

vita gave a big “strahan smile”, knowing it was in a safe place

  25. DaBux Says:

Just put it under your pillow big guy and the GM Fairy will leave a multi-million dollar contract for you.

“Our secondary” is currently Sean Murphy Bunting. The rest of them are people who barely qualify as practice squad material. How can people be so effing uninformed

  27. Joe Says:

“Our secondary” is currently Sean Murphy Bunting.

Hope you are suggesting “secondary” = corners only. Lotta teams wouldn’t mind having Antoine Winfield, Mike Edwards and/or Jordan Whitehead.

  28. Captain oblivious Says:

Since VV is missing a tooth maybe he’ll eat 3 percent less and lose some weight.

  29. August 1976 Buc Says:

“Stop playing zone so much and starting 10-12 yards off the receivers. It’s nuts and never works”.

They called this the Prevent defense back in the 80’s and it was a great way to watch a lead evaporate for the team playing prevent.

Now teams just play prevent defense all game long instead just late in the 4th qtr to protect a lead and try get out with a win.

Why lineup so far back that you concede TD’s or first downs.
That happened today against the Bucs.
Whatever happened to positioning yourself at the sticks, not 5 and 10 yards past???”

Just by positioning you defeat yourself on the play.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  30. adam from ny Says:

goodell sent a memorandum to all nfl teams that says they recommend all teams use a prevent defense as much as possible because it’s good for the league

  31. Rod Munch Says:

Do you give a huge contract extention to a guy who only plays 44% of defensive snaps and isn’t on the field in the 4th quarter when the other team has the ball at the goal line because he’s out of shape? You realize as he gets older, he’s only going to play less, because he’s going to get injured more and get winded faster.

If the guy wants to play for a long time, and be more than what he is now, a part-time player, he has to lose some weight, and the team needs to tell him to do that this offseason. For a player like him, he should be on the field around 65% of the time of the time, being 20+ points lower than that is a huge deal.

I don’t think he’d be any less of a player if he was 40lbs lighter, but he’d play a lot more snaps and likely would get injured less.

I want to see good old running back Vea. should be fun

ModHairKen. I’m no WWF fan, but I went to Boca Ciega High School in Gulport, FL during the 70s. We had a decent football team that featured a huge Samoan named Richard Bloodworth, who had an equally huge brother. Each of these freaks went on to pro wrestling, with Richard performing as Ricky Steamboat. While in high school Richard had a badass Camaro, 4 speed 454. I watched him burn rubber in all 4 gears, just jaw dropping quick. To top it all, he dated a cinnamon skinned beauty name Darlene, one of those high school queens who was fully developed at, like 12. Guess you could say Steamboat did OK.
