Good News On Vita Vea

November 15th, 2021

The NFL Network report had Joe exhaling and finally putting down the Big Storm beer.

Manbeast nose tackle Vita Vea has a knee (MCL) tear that’s considered minor, and he’s got a bone bruise. Vea will not be out long term. Three weeks? Four? That’s unclear. The diagnosis is what’s important.

Vea was hurt on Washington’s final drive and it looked really bad. It’s not.

UPDATE: Bruce Arians said Vea is bearing weight on his knee, which is a great sign.

Man they have lucked out with injuries this year. This team needs a win badly in the worse way on Monday.

  2. Francisco Guzman Says:

Can they sign someone out there to take his place? We need bodies right now.

  3. #8 Says:

    excellent news-
on to new york. play like you are capable of playing.

  4. Mike Johnson Says:

Even 3 to 4 weeks without Vita on a Defense that is playing poorly is really bad news.

  5. Bird Says:

Sweet …some good news today cause the last almost 24 hours have been a suck feast

  6. Medicated Pete Says:

Needs to lose 30lbs. Doesn’t need all that morbid fat to perform

  7. Coburn Says:

To me this was the biggest thing I worried about after the ugly loss. Still going to hurt if he’s out a few weeks

  8. Francisco Guzman Says:

@Mike Johnson they should get their starting corners back soon. Sign someone out there as a body. Idk.

  9. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Joe not to change the subject but what is all the rumors about Brady and his wife and a potential divorce? Any truth to this? This could be a huge problem for Brady and the Bucs if true. I know this team has looked flat these last few weeks and I wonder if the distraction could be part of the issue.

  10. Allbuccedup Says:

The way we played sunday 3 or 4 weeks we be out of playoff contention.

  11. View from 132 Says:

    Season over. It was fun.

  12. mark2001 Says:

Lucked out with injuries this year? WTflag? We have lost about 20% of our starters most of the first half of the season…with no end in sight for a half dozen of our “star athletes”. Last year we were lucky…this year we are down to Delaney and such. We need to get healthy….fast. But it doesn’t look like that will truly happen.

  13. buc15 Says:

    thank you sweet baby jesus

  14. Bucsfanman Says:

mark- I had to do a double-take on that one too! Consider that one of the players we brought in to cover for our…injured players, got INJURED!

The sad part about this is that we have been able to overcome it thus far. It’s the little details, like penalties, that draw the focus away.

Losing Vea definitely hurts but we were able to overcome it last year. Other players will need to step up.

  15. Garv Says:

Great news! Personally it takes the stink from yesterday away knowing Vita will be back. Now a home win next Monday and on with the drive to the playoffs, hopefully with a home game or two!

  16. Chris K Says:

    Sigh or relief!

  17. Chris K Says:

Pete, shut up already! You’re not a coach, player, Gm, or anything along those lines to know what this man can or can not play at. You try to come off as you know something about something and end up just sounding like you know nothing about nothing every time.

  18. NPRSageBoy Says:

Hopefully he’s back for NFC Championship game; Oh, wait…Vita will probably joining Ira to watch that game at Big Storm since Bucs won’t be in it either.

    Let’s Go Brandon!!!

    Peace, out

  19. Show Me the TDs Says:

3 or 4 weeks? He’s no Jack Youngblood, that’s for certain. Players today are made of glass.

  20. Listnfrmafar Says:

19 plays and 11 minutes in one drive will do thT to ya.

  21. Bird Says:

Is it a tear even? Hearing mcl sprain and he may be able to play against giants?

  22. PassingThru Says:

    @Bird

Sprains refer to both stretching and minor tears.

  23. Buczilla Says:

    Awesome!

  24. Listnfrmafar Says:

Wait isn’t these minor strains, muscle pulls etc a lack of stretching or preparation? Equals poor coaching. We all know the only thing BA stretches.

  25. PassingThru Says:

Warm-ups are a part of any pregame plan, but I think Richard Sherman is at that point where his body is simply quitting on him.

With Vita Vea, it is what it is. Warm-ups help muscles, but ligaments are a different story. When a ligament goes, it goes. It’s stress, wear & tear, genetics, and age.

  26. Rod Munch Says:

Good to hear. Now go on a diet and lose some weight and then you can play more than 44% of the defensive snaps.

  27. TampabayDJ82 Says:
