Damning Words From Dave Moore On Bucs’ Body Language

November 14th, 2021

What’s going on?

Dave Moore has been around the NFL block a few times. Built himself a 14-year career at tight end. Started 107 games, played in 220.

And given how much Moore loves the Bucs, Joe is confident he wasn’t trying to con anyone with his comments in the final seconds of the ugly loss to Washington today on the Buccaneers Radio Network.

Moore said he noticed “the body language” of the Bucs before the game. He was convinced the team thought they had this game in the bag before kickoff. The best passing offense (Bucs) against the worst pass defense (WTF)? It’s an M&Mer, baby! Let’s eat a W now!

Early in the first quarter, Moore said his fears were realized and it was evident the Bucs didn’t have their heads in the game by playing sloppy football right away, including a penalty on the very first snap.

Moore said he didn’t see any “sense of urgency” in the Bucs early on.

That coming from an employee of the team working on the Buccaneers Radio Network and a guy who bleeds Bucs red is damning to Joe. Further, how could a Tom Brady-led team be so lackadaisical?

Something is not right. Are these guys still riding a Super Bowl high? Week after week Bucco Bruce Arians says concentration is needed to cut down penalties. Yet they still happen.

If this game doesn’t serve as a wake-up call to the Bucs, Joe suspects they will sleepwalk the rest of the season.

Fellas, you don’t have a playoff berth wrapped up (yet).

Home playoff game? Don’t bank on it (yet).

    LOL

This team will be lucky if they even make the playoffs as a wildcard team Joe

This is not a good team right now…..period!

  2. GBUCin MD Says:

    PLAYOFFS….. PLAYOFFS…. PLAYOFFS>>>>lmao

  3. Austin Says:

You think they have that mindset the rest of the year? I highly doubt it

  4. PassingThru Says:

It was the coaching. Look at the penalties, week in, week out, and yet nothing ever happens.

Honestly, they look like they’ve tuned Arians out.

  5. Rod Munch Says:

He had to sit on the sideline and watch a garbage defense not able to get the ball back for 11 mins to close out the game. What look should he have had on this face watching that?

  6. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Ugh!

That must sucked to see that in person Rod

  7. Architek Says:

That’s on the coaches and leaders – PERIOD!

  8. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

I just hope Vita Vea is ok…

  9. Doug p Says:

Bruce Arians is completely overrated as a coach.

  10. KnoxvilleBuc Says:

Completely agree with Moore. From the beginning we looked disinterested and this isn’t the first time. There is definitely a hangover, injured players, poor coaching, lack of accountability. The hunger hasn’t been there all season. This is worse than the saints loss in my opinion. We have way too many weapons on this team to not win today or two weeks ago. We were dominated in the trenches on both sides, no separation, Brady didn’t want to get hit like he did on the first drive. So many negatives from today. Praying Vita isn’t seriously injured or that could be the final nail for a repeat

  11. RuKa_44 Says:

Some of these players are still enjoying their newly found notoriety from being SB champions. Too many guys that can’t handle success.
I don’t see the hungry team I saw last year
I don’t see the pride to play alongside the GOAT
I don’t see the “LFG” attitude of 2020

I see a bunch of “Playas” believing that appearing at the stadium with the Bucs uniform is enough to win the game… WAKE UP!! You are the prize!! Teams that have nothing left to play for will play hard to get the only prize they can: beat the champions and the GOAT

  12. Cchead Says:

No sense of urgency at all. Should have been going with hurry up on offense all second half. Arians out coaches again. Or should I say Leftwich, since Arians admittinglly says he doesn’t do much coaching and leaves that to his coordinators.

  13. gp Says:

WTF played the best game of their season. The Bucs? Not so much.
We can’t win while sleepwalking but three losses does not end our season (unless you’re BucsAnthem).
    SO glad I’m NOT BucsAnthem!

  14. JimmyJack Says:

We had 3 points at halftime, thats my biggest problem. Dont know about body language but Darden, Loenard and Gio werent sending me good vibes today.

  15. Rod Munch Says:

I have some good news everyone….

I FOUND my preseason prediction… and we’re not 12-5, we’re 13-4! I thought we lose the Bills game at home, but I was wrong, means we close out the year on a seven game winning streak!

Well, after we lose to the stupid Giants.

  16. Colonel Angus Says:

We need Gronk and AB back. AB runs the precision routes and has the hands that Brady trusts. And Gronk is his security blanket, we’ll be fine on offense once they return. Defense doesn’t appear to have any leadership right now. Somebody needs to step up on that side of the ball. Luckily our division is fairly garbage right now. We should win the South if we can win the 4 remaining division matchups. We were 7-2 on the way to 7-5 this time last year. Lets see if we can have the same rebound.

  17. rrsrq Says:

I hate to say it, we took the playoff Lenny bait, he is totally uninspiring as a runner. Good runs inspire your offense and your defense. At least with ROjO there is the potential, how many games have Lenny been lead dog and can’t break 60 yards in a game running the ball. C’mon BA, shake some things up.

  18. RuKa_44 Says:

…and coaching staff is in the same frame of mind.

Leftwich has still a long way to go to be a top play caller. He can’t adjust. Today he had a game plan of short passes and when that didn’t work he couldn’t come up with an answer.

Tod Bowles has half a season of good defense out of 2.5 seasons… that’s 80% of the time where his D is bad… head coach anyone?!?

    WK1 DALLAS – WIN

    WK5 MIAMI – WIN
    WK6 PHIL – WIN
    WK7 CHIC – WIN
    WK8 @NO – LOSS
    WK9 BYE
    WK10 @REDSKINS – … LOSS
    WK11 GIANTS – LOSS
    WK12 INDY – WIN
    WK13 @ATL – WIN
    WK14 BUFFALO – WIN
    WK15 SAINTS – WIN
    WK16 @CAR – WIN
    WK17 @JETS – WIN
    WK18 CAR – WIN

The loss @NO… anyone writing off NO is a dope. Sean Payton is just too good, and with as much as I like Arians, it’s Payton that is the better coach. Can you image in the playoffs if the Bucs had Payton as coach vs Arians with that Saints roster and a QB that can’t throw more than 10 yards? The Saints are still going to be a huge pain in the rear.

The @REDSKINS game is going to be really tough. It’s after a bye, so that gives some hope, but that will be the Redskins Super Bowl and if the Bucs aren’t ready for that, they’ll lose.

The Giants at home is the game people will say there is no way the Bucs lose… but the stupid Giants have always been a pain in the rear to the Bucs. On a positive note, if this happens, all the talk will be about how Brady and the Bucs are washed up, blah blah blah — that in turn makes them angry and they win out the rest of the year and are hot going into the playoffs.

    ———–

So, yeah, if this is right, next week will really suck, but I’d gladly take that predication above if it turns out that way.

  20. Anonymous Says:

Bowles and Leftwitch are too inconsistent with play calls and putting their players in better positions it’s gonna take Brady and Arians to right this ship I have lost all faith in Bowles due to his stubbornness to not adjust and continue soft a&$ Cushion zone coverage when playing teams with average receivers when jamming or playing man would help the front 7 with more pressure so yea Bowles might be washed

  21. Colonel Angus Says:

I’ll take that Munch. A loss next week and the bandwagon will empty out real quick, like after last year’s 3 game losing streak. Still a long way to go.

  22. 163Doubleplay Says:

Who knows maybe this is being intentionally designed by the bucs to ease pressure off them. Maybe their main goal is to just make it to a wild card game just like last year. They want the sports pundits to stop talking about them being a great team.

  23. Craig Says:

Last week the Bucs had a bye while the rest of the League melted down. The Bucs had a chance to climb way up in the standings and they screwed it.

After the Aints game I said the Bucs looked complacent, I will double down on that, they don’t seem to care.

  24. Colonel Angus Says:

    Carolina whooping up on Arizona.

  25. dmatt Says:

Heiniche played the defense like a yo yo. They kept going high for the tackle n he kept ducking to avoid the tackle. DWhite was lucky to get the sack on Heiniche despite he too went high.Lack of fundamental football n discipline. Pass defense is just that, passive. Vets making simple bone head (former Bucs Jeremy Trueblood) penalties i.e., Suh, Gholsten, DSmith. Not ready for playoffs. At this point, Kyler Murray would score 40 on us easily

  26. Bob in valrico Says:

We can’t wait or Gronk for AB, Brady needs to find open Evans in endzone instead of
checking down to Barnard. Next man up get Evans and OJ some chances to make plays. Brady has not been himself for two weeks and we our offens is suffering because of it.

  27. unbelievable Says:

    They’re soft.

    They’re mentally weak.

    They’re physically outmatched.

One and done in the playoffs. For sure.

  28. SOEbuc Says:

Joe Bandwagon Fan. This article sounds like you’re ready to jump ship with an extremely beat up team. We’ll just have to see how it works itself out. We’re only 6-3. We got worked today but there is seven more games that I pray for starters to return healthy.

  29. Adrnagy Says:

Where are all these idiots that have been saying be have depth.
That our depth is the best. ?

    Where are you.

  30. JA Says:

Does anyone think this is the same team without AB and Gronk?
Those guys know how to win. The original Bucs do not.
The defense is beyond horrible against the pass, even when they’re healthy.
When opponents have a third and long it’s almost a given they will allow a first down. Where is the pass rush? Where is JPP, White and especially “Mr. Sack,” Shaq. David is invisible.
And stupid penalties happen every week.
Think about it … Other than the Super Bowl, when has this defense stopped any team with a good offense?
Watch other NFL games. Some defenses actually stop offenses. Been a long time since that’s happened around here.
Lucky for us, recent inept play from winning teams has kept the Bucs in the mix.
Back to the Super Bowl. At least they played their best game in the most important game. I’ll give them that. And credit AB and Gronk with the offensive production.
And some of you were predicting a 20-0 record before the season began.
    The Bucs are in trouble.

  31. Joe Says:

    Joe Bandwagon Fan.

Was waiting for someone to pull this out. The last two games, do the Bucs look like a playoff team to you? Most playoff teams don’t get exposed by Trevor Siemian and Taylor Heinicke in back-to-back games. At least, none that Joe can remember.

But hey, if you think losing to those scrubs in consecutive games is the way to build a Super Bowl winner, knock yourself out.

  32. captivajim Says:

moore has called it …. not only players -but coaches as well ..NO imagination on offensive play calls …. and its ” best we can do-given injuries” on defense side of the ball ..BA never at fault –not disciplining anyone for DUMB penalties…

  33. unbelievable Says:

    ^ exactly!

They’ll get into the playoffs.. and promptly have their arses beat by whoever they play.

This team looks beyond pathetic. No guts. Not glory. No balls. No nothing.

Pathetic from head to toe. They look like losers. They play like losers. They lose.

    #PaperChampions #Pretenders

  34. dmatt Says:

OJ is a joke that we keep waiting on to c what he’s not going to do,which is nothing but look pretty n bank on his physique. He’s a dud n a bust. He struggles with getting separation n gets bullied when trying to block. Let’s put Darren Fells in there n see the difference.

  35. Listnfrmafar Says:

Where the head goes the arse follows. A poorly prepared coaching staff leads to poor execution. Bucs fans, please watch a few other games especially the offensive creativity. Without Gronk & AB 30+ points will be a stretch as far as D, clueless. Bowles needs to look up the definition of insanity. I feel like I’m watching the Jets defense of old and trust me that is NOT good.

  36. SOEbuc Says:

    Joe

I swear Bucs were 7-3 week 10 last year on an extremely healthy team. TWO LOSSES IN A ROW!!!😭😭😭 with a torn up team on both sides. It’s too easy to scout how fake these fakers are. I’m enjoying the Brady era keeping the faith to having players return healthy and let’s start a turnaround with 7 games left and the GOAT. People can go back to the dumpster fire if you like.

  37. 163Doubleplay Says:

Everytime Todd Bowles gets interviewed he sounds very arrogant. Every answers he provides its always like… “ yeah we know what their doing and we just need to tweak here and there..” If ask any adjustments you plan to make ? “Players know how to adjust, its a simple out route this route, blah blah blah”. Game comes, same issue.

  38. Sparky Says:

    @rrsrq

What game were you watching? Fournette looked good on runs and was averaging over 4yds a carry. He has had over 60 yds rushing every time they have given him the ball at least 12 times. But they always abandon the run in the second half even when its working (other than the first down run up the middle).

  39. Will Says:

I want to see someone on defense go off after dumb penalty. I want to see coaches pull a player off the field and sit him for a bit after a dumb penalty and can we please see our CBs play press man and NOT give up the slant. (I’m looking at you Dean)

  40. The Daily Coroner Says:

Two weeks now. Who-are-they-quarterbacks. No passion. Two losses. Seen that before in the “lost decades”. But now we have Tequila Tommy. And he has had two games from the “lost decades”.

  41. Listnfrmafar Says:

Sparkey he ran 9 times for 47 yards, when he had 8 carries he had 30 yds not exactly Walter Payton like.

  42. Nate Says:

@ Doug P your opinion is your opinion but not very original. First sign of “the players” not listening nor accountable jumping off sides…I guess Arians caused the D let the time tick for 40 min of Washington offense

Arians fault too? Or the fact that Leftwich calls the plays it’s just Arians playbook smh some of you people…
