Ali Marpet Will Not Play Against Colts

November 27th, 2021

Bucs guard Aaron Stinnie

No surprise. Buccaneers left guard Ali Marpet will not play Sunday. His oblique injury isn’t ready.

However, Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht has the Bucs covered.

Playoff hero and Super Bowl right guard Aaron Stinnie will fill in for Marpet. He did a sound job for Marpet off the bench on Monday night when Marpet was injured early in the game.

Whatever happened to Robert Halsey that we got from Notre a

Pete’s not offended by that decision. #FreeStinnie this game is interesting on so many levels. Wanna see how Bucs handle game psychologically

  3. Bangkok Buc Says:

Tough loss but given all our questionable guys, rather have Marpet out and Vita / White playing to help shut down Indy’s run game. Stinnie will hold the fort.

??? What do you mean? He’s still on the roster.

(Assuming you are referring to Robert Hainsey?)

  5. adam from ny Says:

    umm…stinnie doesn’t look like a back up when he’s out there…

    dude is good…real good

  6. Alan Collingwood Says:

Hainsey is an untested rookie. The matchup is against DEFOREST FREAKIN’ BUCKNER

    joe –

the dude wants to know “who was robert paulson?”

    🙂

  8. CocoaBeachBuc Says:

Stinnie is a stud. I love the way Marpet and Cappa play. They are studs. Stinnie is more than a capable backup for either. Stinnie could start at a Guard spot for half of the teams in the NFL

  9. CocoaBeachBuc Says:

Apparently, the biggest stud on this sight is the moderator…lol…

I’m impressed with Stinnie’s play. He is way better than most people give him credit for.

  11. PassingThru Says:

    Admiral Halsey notified me
He had to have a berth or he couldn’t get to sea
I had another look and I had a cup of tea and butter pie

FWIW it’s a good move to give Marpet a week off. Oblique injuries can dramatically worsen into a season-ending condition.

In death, he has a name. His name is Robert Paulson.

Lucky to have him, in Stinnie we trust. Not a great pass rush team. Indy has on good DT.

  15. Kgh4life Says:

Deforest Buckner is going to have a field day, yikes.

  16. Cobraboy Says:

    6’3″, 310 Stinnie vs. 6’7″, 300 Bruckner.

One of Stinnie’s tasks will be keeping Bruckner’s hands down for Brady passing lanes.

This will be an interesting battle and could earn Stinnie big offseason bucks.

    Or not.
