Special Moment In Bucs Locker Room For Tom Brady

October 4th, 2021

Hosts famous visitor.

No, Joe’s not talking about the Bucs (maybe?) giving Tom Brady a game ball.

Brady, after last night’s game, had a special visitor in the Bucs’ locker room for some 23 minutes after the game. It was Bill Belichick.

Jeff Howe of The Athletic witnessed Belichick enter and exit.

Since this was pre-arranged, Joe thinks it is pretty cool and what a gesture by the unusually surly, grim Belichick.

Joe guesses this just shows Belichick really does have a heartbeat.

Sounds pretty decent of Belichick. I wonder how deep the conversation went.

  2. Pine Hills Says:

I just thought it was ironic that the bum kicker, nick folk, that personally lost us the game the last time we faced the patsies personally lost this game.
Enjoy having nick folk as your kicker bill.
On a Thurs night a few years back nick missed,3 or 4 field goals and at least 1 Xtra pt
Tonight he dorked it for them instead

  3. EA Says:

Tom listen I really screwd up letting you walk, if the rumors of you wanting to play until 50 are true we can arrange something to bring you back next year, think about it on your flight back.

  4. adam from ny Says:

It’s called closure. And decency. That’s too much for some. These are real men. Not “bros”.

  6. Anonymous Says:

Brady is not gonna go back to the Patriots, Bill as a person is different then Bill as a coach and we already have a report that Bucs and Brady are planning on extending their contract next season.

  7. Medicated Pete Says:

Bill said “Hello, it’s me…..” just like the commercial

  8. Leighroy Says:

“Tom I was wrong. Come back and play for me till your 50”

  9. Buxszntkt Says:

I think Bill is like the Grinch and maybe his heart grew just a little bit last night.
Judging from the creature he spawned working the sideline, Steve, you could see he would be a bitter man.
Still trying to think of the movie character Steve Belichek reminds me of, anyone else have an idea?

  10. Chris Says:

    Where’s Tommy

  11. Hodad Says:

The talking heads make it sound like these two hate each other. Who didn’t kiss who goodbye nonsense. I believe these two have deep respect, and love one another. Think about it, how could they not? You don’t spend 20 years together, and accomplice as much as these two have without forming some kind of unbreakable bond. When Tom gets his gold jacket, Bill will be in the front row. When Bill gets his, Tom will be his biggest cheerleader. All the other crap that has been written is just that, crap.

  12. Craig Says:

Humanity overflowed the stadium. Belichek brought a loaf of bread to celebrate all the good times.

It is the first, and maybe only, time that Brady and Belichek showed some humanity at the same time.

Next week it will be back to business. I pity the Dolphins.

  13. Ralphie Says:

He was trying to snag a copy of our playbook.

  14. Ralphie Says:

Scratch that, he was returning the copy of our playbook that he already had.

  15. TOM Says:

I think the Pats are set at QB for a long time with Mac Jones. Looked dam good. I’m glad the Bucs won but I really think the Pats deserved to win the game.

  16. Infomeplease Says:

Tom,. You must be kidding!! The BUCS overcame bad officiating, a very noisy stadium, being on the road, and having many key starters not playing!! The BUCS still scored.more points!! That gives you the win every time!!

“Joe guesses this just shows Belichick really does have a heartbeat.”

You could be correct Joe…then again perhaps BB is aware of the PR disaster he created for himself and is trying to mend fences.

AGAIN…BB has coached seven season without Brady. He has ONE winning season out of those seven. He’s a genius DC..not so hot of a GM or HC and certainly not very good at respecting players who have played their butts off for him. It’s not just Brady…there’s Gronk and others and the Pat fans are well aware of this. I’m not sure BB had much of a choice.

  18. Buczilla Says:

    That’s awesome man.

  19. Tackleblockwin Says:

Your crazy if you think it was Belichick’s idea to go speak with Tom. That was a PR move plain and simple.

  20. Buxszntkt Says:

If Belichek didn’t have Brady he would have been a good defensive coach, likely bouncing between HC and DC around the league just like so many others.
Having Brady allowed him leeway to make mistakes and neglect the offense , Brady could compensate for a lot over the years and made BB look better.

  21. Buxszntkt Says:

LOL, Shannon Sharpe just trashed BB, and his 23 minute visit to TB post game. BB couldn’t take 20 minutes to say goodbye when TB left , now he has the time as the press is raining down on him.

  22. Ben green Says:

Bill was pissed at the story line. Of course much of his success is attributed to Brady. Coaches don’t play. What he did for Tom Brady, was put him in the best possible situation. He taught him to take the highest percentage play on every down. This narrative that it’s somehow bill and Tom had a toxic relationship, was just that, a media created narrative. They worked together for two decades, and went to NINE Superbowls. I’d say that suggests a pretty good relationship. Did they go out for dinner, and make maybaskets together? No. But the gesture by Bill makes him look like the bigger man. Especially in the context of statements by Guerrero and Brady’s aged Dad

  23. Steve Lahey Says:

One thing that should be pointed out that TB12 knows, acknowledges and I as a PATRIOTS and TB12 fan knows. Belicheck is the 1 who drafted him, kept on roster as 3rd back-up QB, had him dressed when Bledsoe got destroyed by Mo Lewis and put him in.
Bledsoe a #1 pick had signed largest money wise contract beginning of the year and when he was healthy later that season BB kept TB12 as starter. TB12 got hurt in Pittsburgh during AFC championship game, Bledsoe went in tossed clinching TD. Belicheck started TB12 over veteran Bledsoe in Super bowl too……. the rest my Buc friends is history! G.O.A.T.S START SOMEWHERE AND SOMEHOW BY SOMEONE SEEING SOMETHING IN SOMEBODY.
atmosphere of GOAT VS THE GURU was awesome….. DOINK!

It’s simple the Wickersham book is coming and they want to get their stories straight or probably are we done with all the he said she said BS? I respect what you’ve accomplished and you I, let’s move on. By the way if you got a few more years in ya how about $30MM a year?
