Report: Tom Brady’s Thumb Should Be OK

“Dang Tom, I wish I had that bad of a thumb when I played here.”
Tom Brady didn’t try to hide it. And maybe there is no reason to do so.
Brady injured his thumb yesterday in the win over the sad Dolphins. He was seen on the CBS broadcast walking off the field late in the first half clearly flexing his hand. Later he was shown soaking his hand in ice water in a cooler (or he was reaching for a Big Storm Brewing beer).
Then after the game, Brady’s hand was wrapped and Joe’s good friend Rock Riley asked him about it. Brady didn’t offer specifics other than to say, yeah, he hurt it.
So this morning, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport twittered that even though Brady does have a bum thumb, he should be good to go Thursday night against the Eagles.
#Bucs QB Tom Brady, who was spotted with his hand in ice during the game, is dealing with a thumb injury that should be good for Thursday night vs. the #Eagles, source said.

The good thing about this, if there is a good thing, is that even though Brady injured his thumb in the first half, he still had one of the best games of his career.
If a guy at 44 has one of the best games of his starry NFL life, we all should be walking around with a busted-up thumb. More power to him.

Brady is a gamer. It would hurt him more not to be able to play than to play with some pain/soreness. Smart to ice it right away and manage the swelling. He knows what he’s doing.

Did he wack it on a helmet? Ouch, that hurts but at least it’s not broken.

He should’ve been carted-off the sideline & transported to a local hospital. Just to be safe.

Long-time Pats/Brady fan here. Thoroughly enjoying Brady’s post Pats life with the Bucs. Since you may have missed it: google up “Tom Brady’s thumb 2018” and see what this man is made of. He’ll be fine.

On a lighter moment, I loved when the camera’s showed Brady on the bench with the shade covering. Didn’t see any other players protected from the sun.
As Mel Brooks once said in “History of the World Part 1” as he dug his face into the lovely “Marie”‘s clevage, “Its good to be the King”.

MC, I remember the drama around that. He had stitches or something right? Yeah I’m not worried about this at all.
