Little Change To Injury Report

October 12th, 2021

Possible

Nothing too noteworthy on the Bucs’ injury report today. Ryan Jensen (hip) was limited in practice after not participating yesterday.

Antoine Winfield, Jr. (concussion) has not been cleared yet to play or practice fully.

Rob Gronkowski (ribs) has not practiced this week. However, Bucco Bruce Arians said Gronk has made “really good progress” and has a chance to play Thursday.

Maybe.. maybe after the Eagles game.

  2. Medicated Pete Says:

If we have a new Center & TB12’S thumb is screwed, this game will be a toe nail biter

  3. SOEbuc Says:

    NO! 90-100 percent Gronk!

  4. Bird Says:

    Two tuddies?

  5. SOEbuc Says:

Pete Ali would be rotating to center so it’s not the end of the world.

  6. PSL Bob Says:

Don’t need Gronk this week. Let him rest and fully recover. Our offense did just fine without him. It’s the defense that worries me. We’re dead last in the league in the total number of passing yards allowed. However, we’re tied for 5th in the fewest yards per reception (10.0). Our opponents are successfully dinking and dunking against us. I guess that’s Bowle’s philosophy – allow the short slants and screens and protect against the long balls.

  7. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    The Eagles are pretty lame.
I don’t care what any stats say.

    Bucs will win.

  8. Rod Munch Says:

You can tell who the bandwagon fans are, they’re the dopes who at the beginning of the year said the Bucs would go undefeated, then after the Rams game they disappeared, now they’re back to tell everyone how the Bucs are going to go undefeated again.

Any real Bucs fan, who has been around for a while, knows to take nothing for granted.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

There is NO way Gronk can play with fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. Who is BA sending him to a witch doctor? Jenson is a huge loss, how many times does that guy get beat?

  10. Bojim Says:

    Please don’t play Gronk!!!

  11. SlyPirate Says:

Winfield has not been cleared to practice?

Wow! He got his bell rung.

  12. IrishMist Says:

Eagles TE Goedert in COVID protocol, which takes away one of their big weapons, so give Gronk an extra week. We should be OK without him.

  13. Defense Rules Says:

Gronk won’t be playing for 3-4 weeks at least. Fully expect it’ll also take several weeks to get Davis, SMB & LVD back. Not sure if Scotty will make it back this season.

With the offensive weapons that we’ve got, no reason we can’t be at least 9-3 by the time we play the Bills in mid-December, even with so many starters out, and especially defensive starters.

Speaking of a toe nail biter 👅🦶
One time on a bus I saw a drug user in his drawers chewing his toe nails 😳

  15. SteelStudBuc Says:

I think Bucs o line will be fine with Marpet at center and Stinnie in at guard.

  16. Capt.Tim Says:

Gronk is once again the best TE in football.
We miss him, every game hes out.
But let him heal. We’ll need him more, down the road
Brate is a great TE. Codey McElroyis a good blocker.
OJ howard almost got Brady killed last game, and mostly stands around.
Any loss on our great OLine is big, but they are high on Robert Hainey.
    Lets see.
. We still need another CB.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Injuries are starting to mount up. The eagles will play hard. Remember, we are getting every team we play best shot. D line needs to ball out. Eagles have a pretty food defense. 24-16 Bucs.

  18. Dyno-White ! # 45 Says:

I’d rather risk losing a battle to win the war. This is a 17 game season plus playoffs. I defer to the renowned men and women of the training staff to know what they are doing, but I’d be ok if everyone sits as we have 10 days after this game. I think we’ll win either way , but remember there will probably be more injuries in a long season.

  19. Tim R. Says:

Gronk should be rested until he is near 100 percent. Please don’t risk further injury by playing him to early. Our guys filling in for him will get better the more playing time they get. Will Philadelphia throw quick underneath passes? There is no doubt. Yes the defense is giving up a huge amount of yards via the pass however it has not turned into a lot of points. I still believe that our secondary will improve the more playing time they get. Tom Brady is play so well and is leading the offence with such confidence that I expect the offence to continue to have another good game Thursday.
