Jason Pierre-Paul Will Play Sunday

October 8th, 2021

More healing vibes from One Buc Palace.

Edge rusher/defensive spiritual leader Jason Pierre-Paul has missed the last two games with a bad shoulder. He also has a hand issue, but neither problem will sideline him against Miami on Sunday.

Bucco Bruce Arians delivered the great news about JPP’s return.

“He’s ready to roll,” Arians said of JPP.

Joe wonders how fired up JPP was watching his eventual replacement, rookie Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, go wild with two sacks against New England on Sunday night. Fiery, competitive JPP must have been pounding a table somewhere and screaming about not letting Tryon-Shoyinka take his job.

Ha, you are probably right, Joe. But can’t have too many elite rushers.

  2. Bucsfanman Says:

    More great news!

  3. Stanglassman Says:

The coaches were probably lobbied pretty hard by JPP and they gave in. If he rested the shoulder another game or two that might have been the wise call. This team does play harder and is tougher when JPP is in there. I’m sure JST will get rotated in fairly often. He deserves that for sure.

This has Pete popping wheelies, pills & boners !!!!!!!!

  5. SB~LV Says:

    yay !

  6. Buczilla Says:

    Hell yes! Love this dude.

  7. August 1976 Buc Says:

Hopefully JPP can stay on the field, he is big time needed. J Tryon has begun well, but he is not near the level that JPP can bring.
    Stay Healthy JPP

    GO BUCS!!!

  8. BucDan Says:

Adding JPP back to the d-line that just had a breakout from the rookie Joe Tryon-Shoyinka (JTS) should be fun to watch! Add in additional secondary support from Jamel Dean coming back and Todd Bowles should be cooking up something fresh for Coach Flores and the Dolphins. Go Bucs!

  9. Robert Says:

Beast mode, but get the rook some snaps. he earned it.

  10. Defense Rules Says:

JPP (and Dean) undoubtedly want to get back on the field like right now, but I hope that neither is rushing things too much. Bucs can beat Miami without either of them I’m convinced, and it’d be a real bummer if either (or both) of them ended up being out long-term because they aggravated their injuries before they were 100% healed up.

I assume our defensive coaches will keep a close eye on them though.

Realist (Medicated Pete) there goes the exclamation marks…I knew you couldn’t help yourself……Busted

As far as JPP…….he’s like Gronk for the defense….a great player but more than that….a spiritual leader.

  12. Biff Barker Says:

Hopeful that Bowles limits his snaps. No need to push JPP when JTS can fill in nicely. Suh and Vea had their snaps limited already.
    Keep them healthy and fresh.
Need to mention Will Gholston here. Guy has been playing really well.

  13. buc15 Says:

Kinda wish we would give him one more week off but I’m sure JPP won’t go for that

  14. Youngbucs Says:

Big will is better than suh right now yea I said it.

  15. SlyPirate Says:

Hopefully with very limited snaps. Don’t need him for Miami.

  16. ocala Says:

Tryon, Shaq and JPP should each go 66% of the snaps

  17. Ryan K Says:

Which hand is hurt? Is it the one missing fingers ?

  18. Duane Says:

You know JPP coming with a GIANT chip on his shoulder this sunday. Hoping the secondary can give the guys some time to get after the QB.

  19. G.Marosi Says:

If we don’t smash the Fins on Sunday we got bigger problems then worrying about JPP vs. Tyron, that’s all I am saying….

  20. Jeff Says:

Stupid. Rest him until we have to have him playing.

  21. Tim R. Says:

I said earlier that the defense would have at least 4 sacks. Now with JPP back it could be more. The rookie will see more playing time and will put alot of pressure on the quarterback. I am not concerned about the secondary this week. Now that they have more playing time and first team practice the secondary will play much better. Our receivers will have a big day. I expect Brady to spread the ball around. He will throw it deep. Mike Evans could have a career day. Miami is going to get their butt kicked. Go Bucs.
