Buccaneers 45, Dolphins 17

October 10th, 2021

Dominance!

That’s what Joe witnessed today outside of whatever Richard Sherman is doing.

What a roster! What a quarterback! What an explosive offense! The Bucs continue to win without playing their best football.

So what if injured Jacoby Brissett was able to slice up the Bucs defense, when you’re as powerful as the Bucs, it doesn’t matter. Antonio Brown and Mike Evans each cracked 100 yards and had two touchdowns each. Leonard Fournette was powerful and consistent. Chris Godwin got his dirty-work catches and a run. Giovani Bernard showed he’s dangerous in the red zone.

Shaq Barrett came alive with a strip-sack and a half a sack later (that probably should have been a full one). The run defense was sort of a non-factor; it’s so damn good the Dolphins didn’t even really try.

As Buccaneers Radio Network game analyst Dave Moore said following the win. “There’s not really a whole lot to critique.”

Man Vea almost murdered brisett. That looked painful

  2. Medicated Pete Says:

That game was almost as satisfying as a good bj

  3. Izod Says:

Great blowout win, however, it was the still the Dolphins.

Going to need to see great improvement from the defense to have any dreams of reaching the SB again.

So I’m assuming Thursday is too early for bunting, especially since he hasn’t practiced yet. The following week sure would be nice. If we could get some pass rush as well our d could start to inrpove. We did tighten it up a bit after roughing up brisett. May have Winfield back for Thursday though… Not that either safety we have is bad

Lay off of Sherm…. You said the same thing last year when Gronk came on and wasn’t in football shape….but played anyway

Are we forgetting the nearly full 3 quarters of some of the worst defensive play you’ll ever see?

Once the Bucs get a 2 score lead, the pressure kicks in and the Bucs can quickly run up the score – but this was a 24-17 game with a defense that didn’t have a clue before the offense put it away. Note that after that series, Bowles went to a zone defense and got a 3 and out. We should not be playing zone all the time, but it’s good to mix it up, and for the love of God stop delayed blitzes and blitzing guys from 5 yards deep – they never ever get there, offenses get rid of the ball first, every single time when the game is still competitive.

  7. Listnfrmafar Says:

Pete, not quite but that was funny.

  8. Coburn Says:

Agree with the way teams are playing us delayed blitzes are pointless… Doubly so when Sherman is lining up 10 yard off every down to not get beat. Would have to press at line to give the time

  9. ModHairKen Says:

Pass Defense was bad. Sherman is still getting acclimated. But pass rush was much better today. Hurts is no joke. Have to get an early lead and let 45 ghost Hurts.

    @medicated

Don’t let your boyfriend hear you saying that!

  11. Buxszntkt Says:

@ medicated Pete, the real trick is getting both simultaneously

  12. Oneilbuc Says:

I knew this game was going to be like this we have to many weapons for a team like this. Go bucs!!!

  13. David Says:

Damn Joe, layoff Sherman. The guy has barely played in a year and has been in the playbook for a total of 12 days.
There is no doubt in my mind as the playbook becomes more and more second nature and he gets his legs under him, he is going to help this team tremendously along with Davis and SMB as the weeks go bye

  14. Captain Dan Lawrence Says:

Whining about Richard Sherman helps us identify which “Joe” it is. It’s the one covering for an inferiority complex!
