Tom Brady As NFL MVP?

September 2nd, 2021

What would it take?

The NFL’s Most Valuable Player vote is based solely on regular season play. If postseason was factored in, Joe doesn’t know how Tom Brady wouldn’t have been the MVP.

What Brady has done for this Bucs franchise is nothing sort of gargantuan. He took a franchise, albeit talented, that couldn’t get out of its own way and showed it how to win it all.

If that isn’t “most valuable,” then Joe has no clue how to define that term.

So this year, Joe wonders what Brady has to do to be MVP? Lead the league in passing? Touchdowns? Get the No. 1 seed in the playoffs?

It would be cool to see Brady get MVP. That means the Bucs are winning. But no matter who is selected, there is no question who that player should be in Joe’s eyes.

Couldn’t agree more Joe. The BSPN media keeps talking up the Dak’s of the NFL. Just keep piling that wood under Brady, and lighting the match!

  2. The Red Mirage Says:

BSPN is garbage, their demo is fifteen year old boys. NFL network and especially NFL radio are tremendous places for smart football fans to be entertained.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

MVP to TBBF is more than just play on the field….it’s the overall leadership….making others better……Tom did that, is doing that and will do it.

  4. Sean Says:

Brady’s a favorite for the MVP this year– the Super Bowl MVP that is. Mahomes can have his regular season MVP.

  5. PassingThru Says:

Who picks the MVP? Sportswriters, many of who cover multiple sports which results in a superficial knowledge of the game a fixation on the superficial. Just ask the 50 “experts” ESPN (note: some of their beat writers are competent, many are simply awful). And of course most beat writers are appraised by others in the profession on their ability to generate a scoop. That doesn’t mean they know the game well.

My point is don’t hold your breath. Sportswriters will pick someone like Mahomes, Rodgers, Josh Allen or even Lamar Jackson over Brady. They are flashier, and infants always reach for the bright and shiny objects.

  6. Terry O'Hora Says:

Much like Jordan & Gretzky (and now LeBron), Brady is in the MVP talk every year and should have a lot more

    56 touchdowns might do it.

NFL Radio all the way. Best source for NFL news and insight.

  9. Mike Says:

No hell, when was the last time an MVP get the ring?

  10. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Shaaron Rodgers should always have an asterisk next to his MVP saying But Brady was better

Mike…remember the home team SB curse…that no team has ever played a SB in their own stadium? Until we did. I think Brady and this team can put many such things to rest.
