Is 92 catches a good goal?

The Bucs are one of the most loaded offensive teams Joe has ever seen. It’s unreal.

And because there is only one rock, the biggest puzzle this year for Tom Brady is how to feed so many mouths? To read Albert Breer of SI.com, something for everyone is better than nothing.

Breer firmly believes, outside of Mike Evans, you won’t see many Bucs with gaudy stats but, they all will be fed, .

From Adam Moffett (@AdamMoff24): Who leads Bucs in receiving rec yards/TD?

Adam, I think we’re going to see a pretty even distribution there, because now that Tom Brady has a year in the Bucs’ system, it’ll become his system—and when he’s running things the way he wants to, all five skill players are alive on every single play. In a nod to that, let’s say that there’ll be different leaders in each of those categories …

• Receptions: Chris Godwin, 92.
• Yards: Mike Evans, 1,235.
• Touchdowns: Rob Gronkowski, 10.

And I’m laying all this out with the thought, additionally, that Antonio Brown’s going to be a much bigger factor than people realize, O.J. Howard is in the mix now and Gio Bernard is the sort of back (à la Kevin Faulk, Danny Woodhead, Shane Vereen, James White) that Brady has always valued over the course of his career. Again, the production, as I see it, is going to be spread around.

If Godwin has as many catches as Breer projects, that would put Godwin at No. 9 in receptions in the NFL based on last year’s totals. In 2020, Amari Cooper and Cooper Kupp each had 92 catches.

If Brown is really that much better than last year, let’s just say Joe’s going to be guzzling a lot of Big Storm Brewing beers.

As long as the Buc’s running game is at least crediible, there’s no
    stopping them

tom knows how to spread it around ….. to maximize the opportunities

  3. Youngbucs Says:

The run gm has to be good situational what super bowl team was dominant running the ball its been a long time. This is a passing league we rank in the bottom 3 in rush attempts last season. Still won a super bowl!

  4. Youngbucs Says:

Our 3 wrs will all have 1000 yds if healthy!

  5. Anonymous Says:

It will be difficult to stop our running game when your defense is steadily dropping into coverage to take a certain receiver out of the game …Pick your Poison is the way will win games this season! GO BUCS !!!

  6. BucsBeBack (Artist formally known as: BringBucsBack) Says:

It’s hard imagining him getting a lot of catches but, the “riches” would be even more embarrassing if the Bucs signed the newly-released, Breshard Perriman.

O-line is/was the key to this or any offense being successful.

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Our defense should also provide more opportunities for the offense…..field position & turnovers….3 & outs…….can’t wait….one week!!!

  8. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

With Gio Bernard, Bucs will be more of a passing team this year.

  9. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

One week!!!! And we have season tickets!!! So damn excited!!!

Not so sure Gronk will beat out Evans for TDs. I recognize Gronk came on strong in the playoffs, but ME had 13 TDs last year. It will be very exciting no matter what.

  10. SB Says:

    I am calling it now.
Brady will be the leader in FF points amongst all QBs

  11. SlyPirate Says:

AB will lead the team in yards. He’ll get 1300. Godwin will be 2nd. Evans will get his 1000.

Why AB? YAC. He’s healthy and shifty AF.
    Godwin can get some YAC.
Evans is typically catch and done.

  12. Mike Says:

There is no way Gronk leading the TD, he will only get the ball when needed to save for playoffs.
    My prediction is

    Reception: AB
    yards Goodwin
    TD: Evans
