Seems Antonio Brown And Kevin Minter Didn’t Travel To Los Angeles

Antonio Brown

[UPDATE 4:50 P.M.:] We do know that the Bucs have two players on the dreaded COVID list. Now we know the Bucs elevated two players from the practice squad under the new NFL COVID rules to allow for temporary roster absences.

The Bucs announced this afternoon that two players were promoted from the practice squad under the curious designation of “Contagious Disease Practice Squad Elevations:” cornerback Rashard Robinson and tight end Deon Yelder.

While neither plays receiver or linebacker, the inference is clear to Joe.

Sure looks like furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing Antonio Brown and Kevin Minter are staying home this weekend with The Sickness.

[UPDATE 4:50 P.M.:] Per Adam Schefter of BSPN, the Bucs team flight to Los Angeles has taken off. And Antonio Brown is not a passenger.

??? With The Sickness??? Unless something has happened in the past 30 minutes or so, he’s still on the active roster and the Bucs haven’t released any information that Johnson is in a protocol.

You may be thinking of Travis Jonsen, who is a practice squad guy (which is a different designation than COVID/IR from the active roster).

Time for Tyler Johnson to step up!!

On the most important high scoring expectation game of the regular season. Sad

I’m not surprised that Antonio Brown didn’t make the trip. Arians alluded that AB was highly doubtful yesterday. Since it takes 2 negative Covid test results over 24 hours apart to clear, Arians was hinting that either the results weren’t in for yesterday’s test and that all previous tests were positive, or it meant that he was hoping for a negative result today and another negative result early Sunday morning.

I doubt AB will clear in time. There is a chance he can make it tomorrow pending a second negative test. While a transcontinental commercial flight takes about 5 hours, you turn back to clock 3 hours going from Eastern to Pacific time. SoFi Stadium is only 15 minutes away from LAX.

Losing Antonio Brown hurts, no doubt. However, Scooter and Brady have hooked up for many important plays.

I hope Jaelan Darden flashes tomorrow. We could use some good returns.

  8. Scooter Says:

I think Gronk is going to block a lot this game. Bernard, Brate, O.J.Howard, one of them needs to have a outstanding game.

  9. PassingThru Says:

OK Schefter has AB listed as out for the Rams game.

    He’s very reliable.

Love my Bucs…but this is an L yall!! Our secondary is too beat up…and Stafford is throwing well…we can’t run the ball…we dont play Giovani..even though Rojo nor Fournette can catch!! They can’t run on us either…but right now their D is better

We can score on them…but they can easily score on us

Ron you weak sauce loser. Keep it shut

  12. EA Says:

Ron , Matthew Stafford is not a big game quarterback, he is still learning a new system out there, have a little faith in the GOAT and Todd Bowles.
