  1. Medicated Pete Says:

Hopefully he whips Winfield Jr & Devin White into shape

  2. Gofortheface30 Says:

Medicated – 99% of your posts are non sensical. But I co-sign this one. Devin Whites PFF grade btw is 34. Which is AWFUL. For comparison Lavonte David is rated as 72 which is top 5. Antoine Winfield has been a disappointment this yr too. Not too mention zero pass rush. Devin white in particular is starting to really piss me the hell off – HUGE liability in passing, which is kind of an issue considering no team runs on us anymore. People can talk all they want about Sherman but he’s smart and I can gauran-god damn-tee you that he will be in the right spot at all time. Unlike a lot of our other players not named Carlton Davis

  3. Joe Says:

Devin Whites PFF grade btw is 34.

    Who grades The Tribe?

  4. Bird Says:

Man what was said that cause that facial expression in pic above
Maybe it was a ross cockrell joke ?

    ^^^^
And totally agree that winfield and white have been on milk cartons this year
Actually white was getting tossed around last game . Shocked

Time for him to get back his swag and smack talking

  5. Flyin Dutchman Says:

    good news!

  6. Gofortheface30 Says:

Joe – fair, but adding additional context. They aren’t the only outfit assigning a very low grade to Devin White for his poor performance. His Penchant for being out of position, over pursuing, needs to be heavily scrutinized. He belongs in no conversation with the Bobby Wagner’s of the world until some crucial elements to the position can be improved. By a lot.

  7. Dlavid Says:

Well this had to be done, I hope Sherman can solidify the secondary some what . He is a veteran and knows the game Quite well. He has seen it all and played big-time ball. His intangibles More than likely will come through at big moments when needed.

  8. Winny Testaverde Says:

Bring on The Shermanator! He’s hungry and you have to applaud the signing no matter how it works out. In it to win it.

  9. Bird Says:

They said he will be available for patriots

    Love it

Sorry but less ross cockrell is a good thing

  10. Casual Observer Says:

Agree with Dl – Had to be done. I think our pass D ranks last in the NFL. Can’t have that and be a super bowl contender. Must get better and RS may be just the answer.

  11. Medicated Pete Says:

    @ GoForTheFace30

What has Pete said that is “non sensical”? Pete sees things far in advance like a fortune teller, crystal-gazer & a modern day Nostradamus

  12. Buczilla Says:

Hell yes! Look, whether Sherman still has it or not (I’m hoping he does) at least we are going for broke, which is all that I can ask as a fan.

Relying on PFF grades is like relying on a blind man to find me a date. Devin is not good this year and it’s plain to even my dumba$$, but those pff morons gave him a grade of 43.4 (yeah I went to their site, lol) after his good year last year.

  13. Buc1987 Says:

    Sign everyone.

  14. Buc1987 Says:

    Available DB’s I mean.

    Still without a pass rush….

  15. Wesley Says:

He’s too slow, but better than nothing.

  16. PassingThru Says:

Medicated Pete is right. Richard Sherman is a fiery competitor. He may help whip the defensive secondary into shape with leadership and coach them up in terms of technique.

He obviously passed the screen test. I hope they really checked speed, as in three cone, 20 yard shuttle and the 40. It isn’t just straight ahead speed, an Achilles tear impacts explosiveness and change of direction. I have my fingers crossed that the weight loss will translate into better performance than his SF days.

  17. rsjcheapseats Says:

    Like everything about this.

He was the number 1 pass defender in 2019 – which at least means he doesn’t suck.

My guess is the second CB is about to see a ton of targets – why would you mess with Sherman?

  18. Rico210 aka wutdaBucisthis Says:

Hopefully we can back to pressing at the line. R.S and C.D outside, M.E in the slot. W&W manning the backend. I’ll be a happy man to see the press.
Seriously, press them like a fresh cuban-sandwich from La Teresita.
    Go Bucs

  19. ClodHopper Says:

Glad to have him! This guy has the most exaggerated facial expressions ever.

  20. Ben green Says:

No doubt Bill has drafted poorly for several years. But it’s easy to build a team when you suck all the time, high picks and all. I’d say they did okay in New England. Hard to argue with 6 rings

  21. Ben green Says:

    Oops, Ben mis posted.

  22. PassingThru Says:

One last thing, I’m sure glad it was a one year deal. I was afraid he’d demand a second year, which is the last thing you want to grant to a 33 year old CB who had speed issues at this last job. Not to mention the cap space needed to sign or re-sign free agents.

  23. Bucshot Says:

    “You mad bro?”

  24. Bucs&Bolts Says:

    5 star photo

  25. PRBucsFan Says:

Spent a while beating the drum for Sherm…

    I’m pumped

  26. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I am very happy we went and got Sherman.
It can only help us, and we need help back there.
Good Coverage also makes our pass rush better too!

  27. Jerry Says:

Unless we fix the pass rush though, it’s not going to matter who the CBs are. 3 sacks in 3 games is not acceptable. We are last in the league in sacks when we have given all this money and picks invested in the DL and pass rushers.

  28. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Looks older than Jason Licht to me……but I’m sure that was the lighting.

  29. Tbbucs3 Says:

    LFG!!!!

  30. Tbbucs3 Says:

The question is, who will end up having the better Bucs career? Darrell Revis or Richard Sherman?

  31. Tye Says:

Oh boy… Hope it works out…. maybe he still has something left!

  32. Chuck T Says:

I need me a Sherman jersey now!

  33. Joe Says:

I need me a Sherman jersey now!

If you have a Josh Freeman jersey stashed in storage, save a few Bucs and just buy a roll of white tape and a Sharpie.

  34. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Excellent signing. He’ll be a force in the locker room. Don’t worry about his criminal issues on a one year deal. His legal team will push everything out beyond the Super Bowl.

  35. Coburn Says:

Didn’t know which post to put this in but man… Someone on red board just said they welcome him because grave diggers have become dumpster divers. I can’t stop laughing now

  36. Rod Munch Says:

Well I assume the Bucs aren’t signing him if he can’t run. If he still has the speed to play, I don’t see how it’s not a good signing.

  37. Defense Rules Says:

@Joe … “If you have a Josh Freeman jersey stashed in storage, save a few Bucs and just buy a roll of white tape and a Sharpie.”

Pounced on that like a cat on a mouse Joe. Awesome!!!

  38. mark2001 Says:

Joe… If you guys would use your super top secret powers and contact Derrick and Ronde and see what they think about this signing, it would be greatly appreciated. Those are two guys that are really in the know about what we can expect, or hope for, with this signing.

  39. MadMax Says:

    Good job Mr. Licht!

    Welcome aboard Mr. Sherman!

…still need more help though and I know we probably too broke…But a Patrick Peterson sure would look good back there!

  40. spicoli Says:

What ever happened to TMax and his the Bucs are doomed for the basement dwelling comments? Ahhh those where the days lol

I hope he brings some fresh legs and much needed communication in the secondary. Seeing DJax getting open deep 3 times was infuriating to witness

  41. firethecannons Says:

Sherman for the next int calling it now

  42. SlyPirate Says:

Sherman might be mental shot in the arm the Bucs need to break out of their Super Bowl slump.

  43. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

TMax and the Realist are somewhere in mom’s basement…rocking back and forth in the fetal postion….

  44. You gotta be crazy Says:

Hell help fix the pass rush stopping the short throws
