Dak Prescott: “I’m Ready To Go”

September 4th, 2021

Green light for Bucs.

It seems the Bucs will get Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott after all. But which version?

Prescott played in five games last year before wrecking his ankle. Then, when he was ready for training camp, the Cowboys shut down Prescott due to a sore shoulder. He didn’t play in one worthless preseason game.

The last time Prescott threw a pass against a defense not wearing the Cowboys’ star on the helmet was Oct. 11 last year, nearly 11 months ago.

So on Thursday, Prescott, per Todd Archer of BSPN, declared himself good to go.

“The moment I got into any team reps, I wasn’t dialing anything down,” Prescott told Todd Archer of BSPN. “I wasn’t trying to throw a certain amount of percentage. I think that’s just the way I play the game, I just went out there and playing within the moment, ripping passes, not thinking about it, just making the plays I needed to make. Then after two days like that realizing there wasn’t any residual effect and I wasn’t sore. …

“I’m ready to go.”

When the Cowboys take the field of the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway, it will be some 340 days since Prescott last played in an NFL game.

And what a way to get back into football. On the other side of the field are Lavonte David, Devin White, Shaq Barrett, Jason Pierre-Paul, Ndamukong Suh and Vita Vea.

Welcome to Tampa, Dak.

    “I’m ready to go”

Hope you’re ready to run, Dak!…for the sake of your health.

  2. DoooshLaRue Says:

You mean the Licht House Joe?

  3. August 1976 Buc Says:

Yes Dak, to the “Patrick Mahomes school of running for life” it is called the Bucs defense lol lol

    GO BUCS!!!!

  4. Colonel Angus Says:

And Joe Tryon, who is gonna try on Dak as a skin suit, after he skins him like Buffalo Bill. It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

  5. Buczilla Says:

Having to play this trash cowboys team in our first game since winning the Superbowl is a slap in the face, but I’m happy for real football.

  6. WillieG Says:

    49-3 Bucs. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese!

  7. 2Tuddy Tom Says:

Yeah and I just read Tryon Smith is injured and may not be available Thursday! I hope that ankle is healed Dak .. lotion up son! Right Colonel

  8. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard laughed out loud at Colonel Angus’ comment

If Thurs were a coming out party for JTS (at the expense of the egotistical Cowboys) that would be very sweet indeed

    @ Buczilla
Pride goes before a fall. Howard thanks God for the fresh sumptuous biscuit that we call HC

  9. BigMacAttack Says:

I welcome the challenge. To be the best you have to beat the best. I think the Bucs are hungry and ready and don’t care who their opponent is on any given day. The players are ready. The coaches are ready. The fans are ready and the Bucs will be a handful for every team they play. The Bucs will have a home field advantage that they haven’t had in years. It will be loud, rowdy and the stadium will be rockin! No one is going to want to come to Tampa Bay and face this team. A real team that all play for each other and want to be here. 2020’ was the warm up. Now the machine is going to stamp out W’s and put the hammer down.

  10. Buxszntkt Says:

Absolutely, I’m eager to see how the fracture dislocation of his ankle has healed and how comfortable he is running away from am aggressive pass rush! Maybe Zeke will let Dak rub his nose ring for good luck.

  11. Buxszntkt Says:

Still debating whether to sell my tickets! Seems people are willing to pay a nice sum to watch this one!

  12. Bucschamp Says:

What’s up with the cowboys hype? Why was dak ranked higher than Tom?

  13. The Red Mirage Says:

Gabbert will go in the game by 8:09 in the third for mop up duty. Bucs 45-17.

  14. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Bucszntkt

Make sure you’re selling to a Buc fan.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

What’s heartening is the confidence & swagger….not from the Bucs….but from JBF posters….it’s been a while folks!!!

  16. adam from ny Says:

yeah after the game dak will revise his quote to:

“i’m ready to go to the airport, get on a flight and get back to
dallas…as if this night never even happened”

    – dak post game quotes after an azz whopping at ray jay –

  17. DaBux Says:

For his sake, I hope he’s ready to run. He doesn’t strike me as being any faster than Mahomes.

  18. gp Says:

The real question is “Is his back up ready?”
After Shaq chases him out of the stadium, someone will need to take snaps for the cowgirls.

  19. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Is he “Tampa” ready….

  20. Going for ✌️In a row Says:

Tryon-Shoinka and White will record sacks for the Defense.

    Bucs 50
    Cowkids 13

    Statement game for Bucs!!!

  21. Hodad Says:

This guy is rated ahead of Brady on ESPN’s Q.B. rating for those 9 TD’s, and 4 Int’s he threw for last year. What a joke. Make them all pay Tom, make them pay.

  22. Cobraboy Says:

I recall a certain arrogant 49er team coming into The Sombrero on 9/8/1997 convinced of an ass-whoopin’ of the lowly Bucs.

That game ended the season of Jerry Rice and Steve Young left with a concussion.

    This is the NFL.

    “On Any Given Sunday.”

One game at a time, boys. Curb your enthusiasm.

  23. DoooshLaRue Says:

ESPN is the woke sports network.

Tom Brady is a successful middle aged white man.

    Do the math.

  24. ClodHopper Says:

This is going to be glorious.

  25. Pewter Power Says:

Doesn’t matter how long he’s been away from football the cowboys suck and drafting him hasn’t changed the losing. They got no shot unless this defense dials it up in a way no one could see coming

  26. BerrickDrooks Says:

    DOMINATE

  27. mark2001 Says:

Little to lose, much to gain on Dak’s part, as long as he finishes the game heathy. If he plays poorly, they can say he just came off injuries and will keep getting better as the season goes on. No one wants a loss, but still, nothing will be proven regarding the quality of the team by the end of the season.

    And if the unthinkable happens….

  28. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

There’s the Doosh showing off his doosherism. Stop race baiting Mr. Selective Amnesiac with the privilege that many American citizens were not afforded because they didn’t look like you and Tom Brady before the two of you were even born. You’re just upset that the people who were treated worse than animals by the likes of you can now buy you 10 times over and beat the breaks off you if you even speak to them the way they were forced to allow before. This ain’t your great great granpappies America anymore boy because yes it finally woke up!!!

  29. gp Says:

    David
    Woke but clearly not awake
    SMH

  30. gp Says:

    @David
Generally don’t mind or disagree with your takes but this race chit is whack dude!

  31. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

gp go say something to your man doosh he’s the reason for it, but it’s OK for him. Right? You all don’t like it when others “race bait” but it’s OK for you. OK bruh I got you.

  32. DoooshLaRue Says:

How do you know what I look like?
    Do you have super powers?
    If so, that’s pretty cool.
