How about NONE because only an idiot would watch Gronkowski, Bryant, and Bernard miss time during the game or the whole game and then think we should get rid of any offensive player…. in favor of a CB that won’t do anything when our pass rush can’t even breathe on an opposing QB. This is a pass rush problem more than anything else. The knee jerk reactions to our secondary is a low football IQ problem… we have NO pass rush.

  2. Mort Says:

Why just one? I’d ship multiple. Rojo, OJ, and perhaps even Scottie all on the table here. I’d rather keep Miller though.

  3. DingleBerry Says:

Why do they have to trade anyone? Just trade picks.

  4. Bucsfanman Says:

Brandon- You are 100% correct. No DB they bring in will fare much better when the QB has all day to throw.
That said, if you are going to ship somebody for a DB, Howard has the most value without seriously hurting the team.

  5. WalkdaPlank Says:

Rojo still has trade value, if he doesn’t turn it around soon he will have none. OJ is the worst 1st round pick for the Bucs in recent memory. Even before Gronk we had Brate and still do. Probably wouldn’t get anything for him, maybe 6th or 7th.

The solution is to trade picks, can’t dismantle the best offense in the league.

  6. Buczilla Says:

I chose other since I’d trade every single one of those guys outside of Brown and Stinnie. The pass rush and secondary work hand in hand and right now they are both gosh damn awful.

  7. CChead Says:

Would not that depend on the corner?

  8. Medicated Pete Says:

    Mike Evans

  9. WalkdaPlank Says:

Pete I’m gonna need some of that medication buddy you got the good stuff

  10. gotbbucs Says:

    @Brandon

So you truly believe that the guys out there playing corner yesterday were starting caliber NFL cornerbacks? What were you saying about low football IQ?
Every player on that defensive line has a track record in the NFL. Can we say the same of a Ross Cockrell? Dee Delaney? Jamel Dean? Carlton Davis has shown me nothing in his career to make me think he’s anything more than average. In our entire group of Safeties there isn’t a single one that I would consider a good deep field Safety. Winfield, Whitehead, and Edwards are all fine box Safeties, but none of them can defend the deep ball good enough to take away the top end of the field if a QB has time to go there.

That secondary got exposed big time yesterday and it should be obvious to anybody with a brain that the front seven covered up some major turds in the secondary during last years Super Bowl run.
Right now teams can go max protect and just let three recievers go one on one with our corners and two of them will be open every play.

  11. gotbbucs Says:

    @Medicated Pete
You’re not wrong, but they’ll never do it.

  12. Robert Says:

TB sure was missing AB yesterday!

  13. Rod Munch Says:

People are really dumb, they’re so stupid they think Brate is a starting TE. So right off the bat you’re dealing with stupid people who don’t know football.

If you HAD to trade OJ to make a deal go through, you’d do so as a last resort, but no one who has an IQ over 5 should be wanting to dump OJ. If you want to dump OJ, I’m talking to you, you’re an idiot who doesn’t understand football.

Rojo would be the most easily tradable player since they’re not using him anyways, and if anything happened to Fournette you at least have Vaughn as an option. Yes, I know dullard, Vaughn stunk in the preseason when he was behind the 4th string offensive line, and that one carry he got with the starters, he didn’t get 70 yards and a TD, so he’s a bust — but RB is a position where you can plug in just about anyone.

  14. tampabuscsbro Says:

Rod you mean OJ the dude who is not going to be playing here next year?

The dude who in his career has only shown flashes of being an above average TE?

The TE we spent a first on that has never made a contested catch in his career?

The dude who is afraid of contact with small DBs while being a giant himself?

The dude that cannot stay Healthy?

The dude we won a super bowl without?

Yeah definitely an invaluable piece we should keep at all costs instead of defensive trying to bring in some defensive help or getting value for.

  15. tampabuscsbro Says:

Also nobody wants Rojo. I am sure if we slotted a dude in off the practice squad he would do just as well.

Vaughn needs to start getting Snaps. It’s time to cut losses with Rojo. Vaughn would at least try. I can’t say the same about Rojo.

  16. WalkdaPlank Says:

Looks like Rod has had a little bit too much of OJ’s juice. Lol

Don’t know what kind of dirt Howard’s got on you man but he’s done nothing, I mean NOTHING, to justify that 1st round pick. If you don’t like Brate that’s fine, but OJ has been awful going on 5 seasons now.

  17. allbuccedup Says:

Anyone hurt the rumor the bucs trading Rojo and a third round pick to the Vilkings for Patrick Peterson? Makes sense since Dalvin Cook is not healthy.

  18. MadMax Says:

    Rojo

  19. Rico 210 Says:

    Nobody
    Go Bucs

  20. Destinjohnny Says:

    Jason Licht

  21. Rod Munch Says:

WalkdaPlank – OJ can block better than Brate, and if needed as a #1 TE, can actually get open in coverage. Brate can’t block and while he’s a very good #3 TE, and OK #2 TE, he’s someone that brings your offense to a halt if he had to start. He can’t block, at all, and he’s too slow to get open when he’s the #1 TE and is targeted by defenses. I know you dummies that don’t know football get very triggered by OJ and think he sucks, but Licht kept him around for a reason.

  22. Sandman Says:

Brate doesn’t have a lot of trade value. Neither Howard. Maybe we could trade Miller and/or Rojo for a good CB on last year of contract. Don’t know.
Panthers just did a cheap trade that Licht could have pursued.

  23. Bucsfanman Says:

Rod- the one thing that OJ Howard is NOT is AVAILABLE. We keep HOPING that he makes an impact and, season after season, he has disappointed.
Until he shows otherwise, we can do without.

  24. tampabuscsbro Says:

Yeah he kept him around because he is really stubborn with his draft picks. granted for some reason we chucked MJ Stuart into the sun when he is better then the backups that we have to play.

But it’s because they are still waiting to see something from him for some reason.

Also Rod how many passes did he catch this year and what did he do for the bucs last year?

  25. Marine Buc Says:

Scotty Miller is injured. He will be out with a toe injury for 6-8 weeks.
