NFL Network Top-100 Players: Mike Evans No. 48

August 15th, 2021

Bucs WR Mike Evans.

Some things in life don’t change.

Mike Evans has 1,000 yards receiving (again).

And, Evans is in NFL Network’s Top-100 players for 2021.

This time Evans clocks in at No. 48. In the segment highlighting Evans, he is referred to as having the heart of a champion.

“Mike Evans is always angry,” teammate Lavonte David said. “He’s feisty, man.”

Later Davis said that he cannot remember Evans smiling. Oh, don’t worry. Evans smiles. Like the rest of the Bucs and Bucs fans last February, Evans was smiling.

What Joe thought was cool is Joe’s favorite Evans play. Remember when he caught a pass on Monday Night Football against the Rams inside the Rams-10 and fought through two would-be tacklers for a touchdown.

That play for Joe sums up Evans.

Way too high but Pete will take it.

That play epitomizes I know I can I know I can. That man did everything possible to get that td. He embarrassed them two guys. AB looked like he didn’t even want to help, not like he did either.

Dang Pete hadn’t the man deserved to get a little name recognition like so many others have that got them into the Pro Bowl??? You know he scored 13 tds!!! Change your medication man!πŸ˜…πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

    Joe
That is my ALL TIME FAVORITE highlight of his as well. I’m not going to lie there’s been times where I felt he went out of bounds to easily after a catch or gave his self up but that play there had me soo hyped. I remember telling my wife he can do that to fools ALL DAY if he wants to. He’s a beast but that play he took it to another level.

So now where will this leave Brady??? Inquiring minds want to know!

  5. Medicated Pete Says:

Just hoping Brady & Mike get their chemistry going this season. It was way off last year & we still won it all

These videos of Bucs in the “top 100” are cool.

That highlighted Evans play reminded me of the famous Alstott play vs the Vikings – when the A-Train just would not be denied from reaching the end zone and fought through multiple tacklers to bulldoze his way in with 3rd, 4th and 5th efforts to finally get there.

These are the type of plays and efforts that you will always remember when you think of that player and how he played the game.

Keep it going Big Mike! Canton awaits!!!

  7. Rod Munch Says:

1000 yards? If they counted all the PI calls he draws each year it would be 1200 yards. Those should count for something, and someone should be keeping count.

For example, the opening game against the Saints. Mike’s line was 1 rec, 2 yards, 1 TD.

Well that leaves out the 54 yards he got in PI calls.

Also, that angle they showed from the playoffs vs Packers, man did he look like Keyshawn on that play. Which is who Mike will be when he finally loses a step and gets even more physical, and Keyshawn was still a damn good WR. It will be an extra extra chapter to his career. But he’s still got a few years until then.

    BEAST HOF receiver!
    Did I mention he’s a Buc?!

  9. SeΓ±or Harry in Costa Rica Says:

I think ME might be my fav. Such a fighter, class act, pure STEADY!

  10. PSL Bob Says:

Totally agree with that play! When I say it happen, I couldn’t believe it. That was all “want to” determination. Unbelievable! What a tandem in Evans and Godwin. Hope both retire as Bucs.
