NFL Network Top-100 Players: Lavonte David No. 43

August 15th, 2021

Makes Top-100.

See what happens when you win a Super Bowl? The NFL Network’s Top-100 players list is loaded with Bucs.

And previously, the most underrated player in the NFL is starting to get his just props. Bucs inside linebacker Lavonte David is No. 43. It’s the second best showing by David, who ranked No. 35 after the 2013 season.

In the video presentation of David, he joked he was robbed last year when he barely cracked the top-100.

Also in the presentation, David is lauded for being so consistent even when he played on some garbage defenses. David added, “We had some dog days.”

And deservedly, David is a top dog.

Props to Travis Kelce, who David locked up in the Super Bowl, for giving David his due as a top-shelf player.

Lavonte is The Rock of Gibraltar. Didn’t complain & moan to the media during the previous 8yrs when this team was a joke.

  2. Miller5252 Says:

[Apparently, White is in the top-40. — Joe]

  3. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Imagine if LVD was #45 and White was #54!!!

  4. OBP Says:

I don’t know about White being ranked above David but it is what it is.

You imagine if LVD was #45 and White was #54???

  6. Joseph Busciglio Says:

Easily better than Brooks and I watched Brooks entire career…

What is cra3 is White is already easily better than David.

  7. Coburn Says:

OBP yeah at this point in their careers I’d still take David over white. That may change pretty quickly and white came on strong at the end. But based on the entire body of work I’d still take David. Elite against the pass

Sorry about repost again. I’m on the Joe’s algorithm hit list.

  9. SB Says:

I think this is the list made BY players so this list is WAY more credible than the one made up by writhers

  10. Joe Says:

I think this is the list made BY players

    It is.

  11. Rod Munch Says:

LVD deserves all the attention he’s finally getting.

  12. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

wow…6-7 so far? It pays to win a ring!

  13. Rod Munch Says:

Brady has to be #1, right? Are will they still give it to Mahomes?

I mean Mahomes is awesome, but he didn’t put up any points in the SB — Brady did.

Regardless, I don’t actually care. I think Brady will live if he’s not #1.

  14. gracelivin Says:

What I ‘ve noticed is that when it is a Buc player, the others talking about them are mostly other bucs, whereas other players on the list have people from other teams explaining how good they are….anyone else notice this

  15. SOEbuc Says:

It’s NFL NETWORK! All about the ratings.

  16. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

Rod Munch, I’m with you on that one. Mahomes = 0 pts, but #1? Stupid.

Love that video Joe. LVD is another in a long line of class acts on the Bucs. Heart of a CHAMPION!!

  17. Duane Says:

We got 6 in the top 100 so far. Are there really 2 more to come in the top 40? Unbelievable. What a season.

    Nope.

LVD is as good as Brooks. Brooks would be the first one to confirm it. LVD is also player-coaching White. No wonder White is coming into his own talent-wise ASAP,
