“Money Talks, Too.”

August 3rd, 2021

“Bruce, did you hear the one about the Saints team with no quarterback and salary cap issues?”

Bucco Bruce Arians loves his hungry team and talked about it on NFL Network this morning.

Arians is living the dream, leading a champion that’s still salivating for many reasons.

On the training camp field? “They’re trying to see who’s more supreme,” Arians said of the offense and defense. “It’s fun to coach.”

The hunger is too much at times, per the head coach. “I’d rather say, ‘Whoa, then sick’em.’ And I gotta say, ‘Whoa,’ a lot.”

The fire is not just about winning, Arians said, referencing something coaches rarely talk about: cash.

“I mean, they’re hungry. These guys are really, really hungry to do it again and you know money talks, too, now,” he said. “We got a lot of guys working on contracts this year, too. That helps.”

Sometimes Joe runs head first into a wall just to be sure this isn’t a dream.

Pure bliss it is to be a Buc fan. Oh how sweet it is!

I’m right with you there, Joe. Indeed, this is not a dream (thankfully). Unless, of course, you’re Medicated Pete. LOL.

Ifwe stay healthy this will be one of the best seasons in NFL history.

I hope Bruce decides to coach for many more years. The guy just knows what he’s looking for from players, position groups, and coaches

I suspect no matter the results of this 2021 team, the 2022 team will look substantially different…

    @MidAtlanticBucsFan

Hey, what did i do wrong here?

I’m still not convinced that this isn’t all a weird Superbowl winning, worldwide pandemic, working from home dream.

I’ve had my fill of all the spin doctor, feel good, BS. Now I need proof.

I need to see with my two eyes …
    -The guys are motivated
-The team is firing on all cylinders
-AB and TB12 are nearly unstoppable
    -Shaq really wants DPOY
-Tryon is a pass rush phenom

I’d love us to keep getting Super Bowl Wins til Brady wants to retire and then hopes He takes BA’s job when BA retires when He gets enough SB Rings. BA has one with Pittsburg and a second with Brady but still wants more. Can’t blame Him. The SB Ring for this year is a real stunner and opens up and shows our stadium.

Owlykat2 .. Seriously doubt that Brady has any aspirations whatsoever to become an NFL HC. Too much else going on for one thing. Plus as a QB his intensely competitive nature has served him well, largely because of the results that he’s attained. As a HC though, got a hunch that his intensity might be a tad over-the-top.

Cobraboy … Agree with you about the 2022 team, but even then I think we’ll be able to field a quality team (although we’ll probably lose quite a few players). That’s why I just resigned myself to enjoying 2021 to the fullest. I don’t think that 2021 is gonna be a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination, but I do feel like we’ll be very competitive. Bucs should make the playoffs, and once in, anything can happen (as we saw last year).

    Is Arians HOF?

  12. Clw JB Says:

In contrast, I don’t see a major overhaul next year

the cap rises again, all will get about 26 mil extra from this year, minimum (182mil this year, 208mil next year, just google it)

I see TB12 working towards his 3rd SB in a row and we are all in again for the trifecta push in ’22

2023 is the transition year we need to focus on

Actually what he said was that he’d rather say “whoa THAN sick ’em.” What Joe put in the article completely changes the meaning of what Arians was saying.

“Whoa THEN sick ’em” means he’d first like to say whoa and then afterwards say sick ’em. That’s not what he meant.
