It was made quite clear by Bucs brass, the starting right guard job was one man’s to lose.
That guy was veteran Alex Cappa, the 26-year-old Jason Licht gem from Round 3 of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Nothing quite like finding quality starter out of Division II Humboldt State!
Cappa was on the ropes this summer, though. Recovering from a broken ankle in the first playoff game last season, Cappa was hearing Bucs officials publicly hyping his sound replacement, Aaron Stinnie. It was intentional. The Tampa Bay power brokerss wanted everyone to know there was a competition but Cappa was the preferred choice.
After last night, Joe is going to say Cappa won the job. The Bucs’ first-team offense was firing on two of three drives, and Cappa was on the field.
In many ways, Joe believes the Bucs going public with competition talk at right guard was about publicly showing Stinnie some love for staying with the team in free agency. He surely could have made more money elsewhere, and he isn’t a guy who’s made much money in his career.
The Bucs’ offensive line is in great shape to anchor what could end up being the best single-season offense in NFL history. The firepower is there.

If I am not mistaking, Cappa did not allow a sack last year. While Stinnie did great in the post season, I don’t think his pass protection is as good as Cappa.

I know one thing for sure #62 Seaton is done. He had a horrible game at tackle last night. Gave up 2 sacks and several QB pressures. Adios amigo…

Hainsey struggled with the shotgun snap a couple of times last night….to be expected…..
Our starting Oline was fantastic…..gave TB time and WRs got open…..
When the backups gave Trask a bit of time….he looked very good. When they didn’t….not so much.

Your o line played over there skies last year and y’all know it. I seriously doubt they can repeat last years performance in health or results. Brady has gotten slower in the pocket and can’t avoid any significant pressure.

Another Butt Hurt cheifs hunny who can’t stop spinning from the SMACK DOWN. It’ll be alright sweet heart. There’s always water pool for you to look forward to. Or some other female sport that I’m sure you’ll find challenging for your type of preferred lady sport.
