Devin White: Tom Brady Is Staying Quiet

Buccaneers fans may think Tom Brady laid the intensity law down when mandatory minicamp began yesterday, the first practice with the full roster since the Super Bowl.
Not the case.
Buccaneers savior linebacker Devin White was talking to media today and was asked by James Palmer of NFL Network about whether Brady was “jawing” at the defense like he is known to do, setting a tone for them as the team tries to repeat as champs.
Wrong premise, White explained.
“No, He hasn’t been jawing,” White said of Brady this week, “but he’s been handling his business.”
White explained that facing Brady in practice itself is a tremendous task and his defense is filled with absolute veteran professionals that don’t need to be jawed at. “He don’t even have to do that. We’re vets. We seize it,” White said.
He explained the defense came with a corner blitz on the first 11-on-11 play of practice to set their own town. “You’re trying to get us, but we’re coming to get you,” White said.
As for the Bucs mindset now, it’s one day at a time. “That’s all we talk about is stack the days,” White said.

I didn’t even notice that at first. I like Bay of Boom. If that hasn’t been trademarked, you might be on to something. If this defense balls out again this year, they will have earned a filthy defensive nickname.
