“Conducive” Schedule

May 17th, 2021

“Tom, we should clean up early.”

Joe never thought of the 2021 schedule this way, but it sure does add up.

In her review of the Bucs’ 2021 schedule, Jenna Laine of ESPN noted that aside from the Rams game at Los Angeles, the Bucs have a soft schedule in the early going.

Therefore, the Bucs ought to get a helluva head of steam, stacking up a bunch of wins, especially if they can find a way to beat the Rams.

…This schedule is conducive to what Tom Brady does best — build as the season progresses. The Bucs only face one 2020 playoff team in the first six weeks of the season — the L.A. Rams.

Laine also points out the flip side of a soft early schedule. After the Bucs play the Eagles in Philadelphia on a Thursday night, the Bucs then play six straight games against teams that were in the 2020 playoffs.

So the way Joe looks at it, the Bucs better be no worse than 5-1 after the first six weeks.

Six straight? That’s just not true.

Bears playoff team but they sucked and were 8-8 and lost a lot of their star defense players and still don’t have much an offense to speak of.

Saints playoff team but they don’t have Brees anymore and now have to rely on Mr 30-30. I like our chances.

WFT – Already beat them once in the playoffs. Couldn’t even get any pressure on Brady and Chase Young was a ghost.

Giants – We were throwing to freaking Jaydon Mickens in that game…

Colts – Turnover Wentz as their QB. I’m good.

    Falcons – ….yeah.

A few playoff teams from last year improved in the offseason. I see only four teams that the Bucs may have competition this year, Chiefs, Bills, Packers and Ravens.

We will be ready for the challenge. Most important thing to me was Tom Brady excited about the 2021 Bucs on February 8 and, we kept the band together. It’s going to be so much fun watch this team reach its ceiling. Our o-line has to keep playing elite like they did all postseason. Big kudos to Donnie, Ali, Ryan, Stinnie and Wirfs. Hopefully Cappa gets healthy soon. So much depends on these big ugly dudes. They are the authentic avocado ice cream.

You cant take any team on the schedule for granted.

As Defending Super Bowl Champions we will get the best from every team we face.

Why can’t i go into a women’s locker room like she can hangout inside a man’s locker room?

Everyone way overconfident going in with a euphoric hangover – Dallas has dak back and a lot of offensive firepower – bucs had to come back against the falcons in both games last year – Buffalo a legit sb contender – bears and Miami could be trap games – can easily see them going 11-6/12-5 as they’ll get every opponent’s best shot and this secondary was roasted at times in the regular season – I don’t think Tom let’s the let-down into the locker room but these guys will have their work cut out

AIV…. you are correct. Some of those teams are declining but some of the teams that did not make the playoffs will be on the rise. That’s why strength of schedule is completely irrelevant every single year. Half the teams that were in the playoffs don’t make it the following year

    Not sure if I agree……..
This is not an easy schedule as so many think….of course could be harder…..But is far from easy…..
Falcons Rams Pats and Dolphins will not be easy by any means….I would say the opposite Bucs schedule (on paper) will be easier bye the end.

Let´s stay humble….that was one of themain reasons we won SB last year….NOBODY gived a penny for the BUCS….

    Lets fly low…..

Medicated Pete, it’s because of the double standard. Women are the same as men (isn’t that what we’re told?) until the junk comes out. Then the rules change.

  11. Mike C Says:

Why at 18 did you have to sign up for the draft and woman don’t Pete? Because it is all “equal” like the rate of deaths in the work place (ohhhh wait 90% of work place deaths are men) but men that take on more dangerous jobs should not be compensated for that because that would be unfair right……?????

Tell em. Everyone’s bringing it so I’ll look no further than week one. Can’t judge a team off last season. Any of them

What Bucs do have is Brady, he is well aware of how important consistent W’s are. He’ll keep the team in line. Not to sure Dak is happy his first game back is against Bucs D.
