Bucs Only Evil Opponent

May 27th, 2021

Bucs’ biggest foe.

There is but one obstacle in the mind of a uber NFL insider.

Over at CBS Sports, heavy metal head-banger NFL insider Jason La Canfora typed a column stating his confidence level that each of last season’s playoff teams will make the playoffs this year, using a scale of 1-10.

As you can imagine, La Canfora is pretty high on your Super Bowl champions Buccaneers. He believes there is really one obstacle for the Bucs not to be back in this year’s Super Bowl. That would be Father Time.

The Bucs have several players in their 30s — retirement age for football players who just played a 20-game season and now will be asked to play a 17-game regular season.

NFC South – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Confidence level:
9.75

The only team not mired in a rebuild or retool or rethink of some sort in the NFC South will have Tom Brady willing them to the first back-to-back Lombardis since his golden days in New England. He won’t let anyone let up, the band is back together and the rest of the division faces major questions. … [T]here isn’t a team in this division close to being as balanced and talented as the Bucs. As long as Brady avoids Father Time’s reaper, bank on the Bucs.

This was Joe’s concern last year. We all saw just how big of a concern it was; it wasn’t any concern at all.

Usually, if a team banks on a soon-to-be 44-year old quarterback, you’d think the coach has lost his marbles. Last year showed Joe that unless or until Brady proves he’s an old man, it’s wise to expect Brady to play like he’s 24.

Please don’t jinx us Joe. We have all seen how fast Father Time can do his mojo. Manning, Brees, Farve, even Montana. Once FT steps into the room, one needs to rapidly create an exit strategy.

Forty is the new thirty right???

Brady’s anti-inflammatory diet is life changing. You age at a MUCH slower rate

All the roster is one year older, they need to inject some young blood in the mix.

That plus gallons and gallons of concussion water. Alex Guerrero once said he had a pill that could cure cancer. Use your brains

Ricky Bobby : No one lives forever, no one. But with advances in modern science and high my level income, it’s not crazy to think I can live to be 245, maybe 300.

    Gotta feel good about that.

It does make me feel better that we drafted Trask to have an actual talented prospect we are developing instead of banking on Blaine Gabbert to not do what he did in Tennessee in 2018.

This is all just awesome to watch.

I used to hate the air Brady breathes.

Now I root for him not only because he’s a Buc, but that age factor….44.

    He’s amazing.

Like I keep saying this is all going to be fun to watch. It’s already been fun.

    Go Bucs!!!

The Bucs are going to be GREAT next year.

Even though people are picking the Bucs to finish tops in the NFC, I STILL THINK THE BUCS ARE UNDERESTIMATED.

The team is loaded and now they know how to win.

Tampa’s golden era. Get to watch the GOAT play again on THE DEFENDING SUPER BOWL Champs. We get to see the best goalie in the world lead the DEFENDING STANLEY CUP CHAMPS and oh btw I lost count of the Rays win streak. If you’re sports fan it’s a great time to be in Tampa Bay.
