Good Sign From Jason Pierre-Paul

April 12th, 2021

Bouncing back.

If you are just about mock-drafted out like Joe is (for Joe this usually happens before the combine), any small morsel of Bucs news is welcome.

So here we are.

Joe usually doesn’t give two s(p)its about dudes working out. That’s news? A professional athlete staying in shape?

What is news would be a player instead live-streaming from some party like an NBA guy replete with strippers, liquor, poker and questionable substances.

Now that would be news.

So yeah, Joe is beyond bored with dudes pumping weights and running cone drills in their backyards.

However, Bucs stud pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul posted something on his Instagram stories account this morning that got Joe’s interest. For those who follow JPP on Instagram, you know he is an Instagram fiend. He posts so much fodder it’s easy to miss something newsworthy.

JPP posted video of himself on a stationary bike. So what? Normally, yeah, big deal. But remember, JPP played hurt through much of last season (and gutted out a good season that included 20 games) as the Bucs won the Super Bowl.

Right after the Super Bowl JPP had knee surgery. As JPP posted the video of himself at what looks to be One Buc Palace on a stationary bike, he added the text “… feels so good to be running with no PAIN!!!”

Joe only wonders what kind of pain JPP was balling out through last year?

There is no question in Joe’s mind JPP is a warrior whose work ethic and high standards rub off on teammates. And to see him bragging that he is pain-free, would it be a stretch to see JPP level many more quarterbacks this season?

Good news but July 4th is right around the corner and you never know when the urge will strike to take a 2am drive.

    Stay safe JPP!

  5. Bird Says:

Some say he was playing at 70-80 % last year
Dont sleep on jpp and 10 sacks plus

  6. Cali_mike Says:

JPP is my personal hero, he messes up and is not perfect but he perservers and overcomes. His level of bounceback is HOF worthy if not his accomplishments.

  7. Buc1987 Says:

Medicated Pete…like I’ve been saying : It’s fun again being a Bucs fan.

    Instead of constant angst.

  8. TheShaz Says:

Did that graft Devin White’s horse legs on him and hiding the fact until they get the procedure approved by the NFL?

  9. WiscoJoe Says:

Bucs should extend him another year. Almost a no brainer at this point.

  10. Swampbuc Says:

To think the Bucs got him for a 3rd rounder, and he stuck around thanks to jettisoning Jameis and bringing in Tom Brady.

  11. SlyPirate Says:

JPP and Suh initiated the Bucs’ culture change. Their attitude and work ethic was infectious. Their production backed it up. Brady (and the exit of JW) brought the same drive to the offense.

  12. Dano407 Says:

This is great music to my ears. JPP is a freaking DOG!!

  13. Hodad Says:

The guy who never comes to OTA’s already working out at one Buc? Hungry for more, the Brady affect, or both.

  14. Bucsfanman Says:

    “Beast”!

We heard that word thrown around quite a bit over the years. Now we know what a “Beast” looks like! In fact, we have a few of them now.

’87- Fun to be a Bucs fan indeed!!!

  15. doolnutts Says:

I love JPP but this is exactly why we need to take another edge rusher in the earlier rounds. He isn’t getting any younger.

hey kids: I know we’re all experiencing the super bowl hangover, know we’ve signed all of our starters and realize we’re coming back this year after working together a full season as a team, but now we sign freakin’ Geo Bernard? I’m sorry guys, but I’m afraid we aren’t losing a single game. Go Bucs!

  20. Pigsueybucsfan Says:

Shaz that was great! LoL funny GO bucs!

  21. JC Says:

Forgot The Idea Of Losing A Single Game… The Important Thing ” Is Not To Lose The Last Game “!

  22. DH Says:

I wouldn’t be handing out too much cash just yet. When #45 is up for his new contract, he’s gonna be highest paid defender of all time. Mark it down.
