“There’s Some Other Teams Interested”

March 15th, 2021

Free agent, baby.

So maybe Joe wasn’t so crazy after all?

Future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski made it clear in various social media posts and videos he’s pumped out lately that he’s returning to play in the NFL after winning another ring with the Bucs. But Joe found it more than a little odd that Gronk never ever said he was back with the Bucs or even mentioned the word Tampa. As it turned out, there was a reason for that.

Gronk, who will appear on Kyle Brandt’s “10 Questions” on Spotify (by way of The Ringer) when it is released Wednesday, admitted he’s sort of shopping himself around.

Brandt Twittered out a preview of Gronk’s appearance (along with his Sports Illustrated Covergirl girlfriend Camille Kostek), in which Gronk addresses who he will play for in 2021.

Gronk confessed he’s “leaning big time” to returning to the Bucs but said he’s a free agent and other teams are sniffing.

“I definitely want to be back with the Buccaneers,” Gronk told Brandt. “That’s where my eyesight is. That’s where I am leaning towards big time. But with the free agency process, you never know what may happen.

“There are some other teams out there interested too. I have never been part of the free agency process so I want to dip my toes in to see what else is out there. … If I do go back to the Bucs, which that is my eyesight, I will know how free agency works. I’ll know how teams come after you.”

Ah ha! So now we know why up until now, Gronk had never mentioned the Bucs when he said he was coming back. He doesn’t know if he will be playing for the Bucs.

Joe doubts Gronk would play for anyone else other than the organization that has park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady barking signals.

It seems Joe wasn’t wrong being suspicious that Gronk had never mentioned playing for the Bucs when he announced he was returning in 2021.

  1. Mitch Says:

I was waiting for this. The bucs are his preference, but he wants to experience free agency because he has never done so before. I still believe he will come back.

  2. Colin in Canada Says:

    eyesight?

  3. Tackleblockwin Says:

I believe every word Gronk said. If he decides to continue his NFL career after Brady retires, he will have at least experienced free agency before. He will be with the Bucs as long as Brady is slinging it. There is always the chance Gronk regresses and the Bucs decide not to resign him, but that won’t be this season.

  4. Joe Says:

    eyesight?

That’s what the man said. 🤷‍♂️

  5. Coburn Says:

Eh could just be he doesn’t want to be lowballed too much. Not impossible he signs elsewhere, but I’ll still be surprised if it happens

  6. Robert Says:

hope he lands here, but definitely would not want him in the NFC South other than TB.

  7. Dano407 Says:

Who’s he kidding? He will only play with Brady.

  8. Rod Munch Says:

I assume the Bucs are wanting him to do a deal like with everyone else where he signs a multi-year deal with a bunch of void years – but really the Bucs need him to commit to two years to make it work and not put a cash crunch on them next year. If they did one of these deals with Gronk only to have him retire next year, that would put a big dead cap hit on them when they still think the window is open.

I assume that is what the issue is — hopefully they figure it out. I think OJ would be a super star without Gronk, but only if he can stay healthy and that’s a big if. But mainly I’d worry about upsetting Brady – if he took a deal to keep the band together, I think in Brady’s mind that means getting Gronk back.

  9. Bucthis Says:

With Brate, Tanner and a healthy OJ coming back I’m really not worried about the TE position !! I thought it was great that Tom had a reliant piece last year, but Brate stepped up and I don’t think people realize just how good he is. Go Bucs

  10. Jerry Says:

From what I understand, Gronk hasn’t spent hardly any of his NFL money. He’s living off money he’s made in other ways. He’s got a lot of money saved. So it’s not really money that would lure him away. He would only go somewhere that has an even better situation than TB. Right now there are not a lot of teams that would qualify for that.

  11. SlyPirate Says:

Gronk plays with a QB other than Brady?

    Never gonna happen.

Watch those two on social media. Brady didn’t restructure for just Shaq.

  12. adam from ny Says:

if he walks on the bucs it will let a heck of a lot of air out of the balloon in tampa…

the gronk persona is huge here…and tied in to tommy…

he knows he’s gonna get some nice offers on the open market – he will use that against the bucs to jam them for a lot of dough…

he’s not signing a one year deal for 5 mil…

gronk wants something in the 8-10 mil range…

    so does suh…

especially now that shaq is basically the 2nd highest paid player on the team

  13. Adrnagy Says:

    All this bcuz
Licht bend over on the shaq deal
Licht put offer on table if not taken by Monday 12et Bucs will find replacement.
Drew / shaq receive 0 interest. In the first 15min and took licht offer.
    Licht competing with himself. ✊🏼
You need depth more than a $17m player. Going for 17 games !
Pass rushers are not being signed. Teams are waiting. Licht jumped too fast on shaq.

    Tampabaybucfan Says:

These are the signings I’m concerned about

  14. Rod Munch Says:

I really don’t think it’s a money issue, it’s a term issue, Gronk has been very very clear about only wanting 1-year deals, but the Bucs need him to do more than one year to make their cap moves work.

I see Gronk as the type of guy who says I’ll only do a one-year deal and when approached by the team who tries to explain void years and spreading out the cap hit, he just puts his hands over his ears and says “I’M ONLY SIGNING FOR ONE YEAR!!!!”…

  15. DoooshLaRue Says:

He just wants to feel wanted.
    I don’t blame him.

  16. HeyItsAdam Says:

Gronk will play in Tampa. I guarantee it. He’s not going anywhere.

  17. Nutbucer Says:

Think he’s manufacturing leverage. He’ll be back.

  18. Bird Says:

Gronk has a pretty good life

He has the kitty cat michelle pfiefer clone next to him.
    1 years 6.5 mil

  19. Bird Says:

    Adr

You would have paid jameis 5 years 150 mil
You said book it. You were so confident.
And now you are upset about “what you believe” is overpaying for shaq?

    😂

  20. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

Money play. He basically telling Bucs no team friendly deal. Pat’s just signed TE from Tenn 12 mil/year. 4 yr contract.

  21. geno711 Says:

I suspect Gronk will be back as most other players have been.

Great job by Licht getting all these men with different visions, needs and financial situations to sign on the dotted line.

    Can anyone question Licht anymore?

    He has been excellent.

  22. Rod Munch Says:

This explains, to me anyways, why the Bucs haven’t done anything with OJ and Brate.

If Gronk is gone then there is no way they’re getting rid of OJ. Brate absolutely is not a #1 TE, he can’t block and can easily get shutdown by teams if they focus on him. OJ absolutely CAN be a #1 – he’s an acceptable blocker and and can get open even if teams focus on him. The issue with OJ is his health, it’s very risky to bet on him being your #1 because of that.

Although if Gronk isn’t back you’re keeping OJ and Brate anyways, so there’s really no need argue about the depth chart.

  23. crazyBucs_CL Says:

…ShB won the SB, this is what Shaq lovers say here…Nobody said Gronk won the SB….
I guess we can do without him…. we got Shaq… Gronk can play for free, or he can go. Same for AB… play for free… Lenny too…

  24. Waterboy Says:

Gronk’s mother lives in Ft Myers and Gronk visits her on a regular basis. The only other playing option I see with this arrangement would be with the Dolphins which would be a slightly closer drive than Tampa! But having Tom as your Qb would far out weigh having Tua as your Qb!

  25. Adrnagy Says:

Gronk is more valuable than shaq.
    Just like David.

  26. Rod Munch Says:

I’m sort of surprised we’ve heard nothing about AB.

I hope he’s another guy the Bucs can bring back – but I figured he’d get some interest from someone else, although it would be a very limited number of teams that could put any trust in him. You’d need a team with a strong veteran QB who is in absolute control, like Green Bay. Hopefully teams are scared off by him being a flake and they can really lowball him. Having Brown as your #3, who can a legit #1 if needed, on this team where every year the WRs are getting injured, is huge.

  27. crazyBucs_CL Says:

    @Rod Munch
    “…if Gronk is gone…”
    ————————
that is telling TB12, “enough with your BS request, we are beater then NE now, we got ShB, you TB12 can stay or leave”… “you are not the boss here, we won SB”…
that mean if Gronk is gone…

  28. jpsmiley Says:

    @ AdrNagy

Zero interest for Shaq? That’s a good one!!! I guess you don’t watch or listen to any of the NFL insiders or agents talking about free agent defensive ends always get overpaid if they become available. Sounds like you just don’t like Licht… Heck a tight end with average stats just got 12 mil per. Come on man!

  29. Adrnagy Says:

It’s a slap in the face for gronk. Gronk 4sb rings. Best TE ever. Helps blocks. Catch. SB mvp imo. And you just gave shaq $18m a yr with a 2 yr exp.

Should’ve sign gronk or suh first.

  30. crazyBucs_CL Says:

….im not sure what $$$ is left, Gronk must know something… he knows that JL can not offer much cause is not much left… that’s why he is putting out those comments….
great achievements for Bucs heaters loud and silence, if they don’t have $$$ left to keep Gronk, AB and Lenny….

  31. Robert Says:

agree with adrnagy….. they aid too much for Shaq……..there was 1/2 dozen + plus good DE in FA already.

If that causes us to lose any of Gronk, AB, Succoup it will come back to haunt us. I would say Suh as well, but you wonder when all father time will catch up to him. He’s been in the trenches so long, he is over due. but I would not want to lose him.

  32. Adrnagy Says:

Watch the ravens , Seahawks , rams free up money and scoop up gronk for 1yr $13m fully guarantee.

  33. crazyBucs_CL Says:

    @Adrnagy
“…Should’ve sign gronk or suh first…”
    ——————————-
that is what I was saying all along. Keep the band first and then go with what $$$ is left for the single…(ShB)….

  34. Bucfanforever Says:

Supposedly Barrett only counts $5.6 million against the cap this year, plus there are lots of players whose cap hit can be reduced. If the Bucs think they can win with the player, the Bucs can make a deal happen.

  35. Youngbucs Says:

Adrnagy another 1 of smart gm’s here who wanted to give 30mil a year to a inconsistent player. Chill dude!!!!

  36. Rod Munch Says:

Where are these anti-Shaq idiots coming from. Joe, you can check the IPs? I find it impossible to believe there are multiple morons out there upset that we resigned Shaq.

  37. Adrnagy Says:

Ppl in here think by signing shaq we are back to the SB. It’s not like that. Now that we have 17 games, depth will play a big factor. Lenny , gronk. Nunez. Stinnie play a big role in getting to the SB.
But for some players is a recognition more than money.

  38. crazyBucs_CL Says:

they should talk immediately to CG for a long time deal, 16.5 M is to much for this year…..

  39. 813bucboi Says:

Sounds just like shaq’s, “time to break the bank or i wanna get paid” comment…lol…

he’ll be back….he’s telling the bucs, “please find money to keep me”….

    GO BUCS!!!!

  40. mark2001 Says:

Some of you guys are pretty funny. The Shaq cap hit was only about 5.6 mil. Now if you mean the Glazers don’t have the cash… I don’t have any idea but I’m pretty sure that isn’t a problem. But regarding cap space? No problems. To act like we are finished with the Shaq deal is really laughable.

  41. mark2001 Says:

And frankly, among Succop, Gronk, Fournette, and Brown, I’d probably be surprised if we don’t sign three of the four…

  42. DoooshLaRue Says:

I think the Anti-Shaq idiots come from the same factory as the Pro-JayMiss idiots.
    They make no sense…..

  43. Rod Munch Says:

I think the Bucs still have the following to get done.

Have to decide at TE, if Gronk is back then you’re cutting either Brate or OJ.

Should do an a long extension (3+ years) with Smith, would likely free up $10m.

Should do an short extension (2 years) with Jensen, would likely free up $5m.

Can restructure Evans, who has volunteered to do so, would likely free up around $3-4m.

Can restructure Marpet, can free up another $3-4m.

Should try to do a long term deal with Godwin, this is a big one, if they can get it done you’re freeing up likely $10m or so.

Now, if you do all this you are absolutely slamming shut the window on the team after the 2022 season, they will be in cap hell for a year – maybe even two. I’m A-OK with that myself. Everyone should just get onboard with that now and accept we’re getting two more solid years out of this run, then its back to drafting in the top 5, hopefully for only a year or two.

  44. windbaggery Says:

He’s creating leverage, or attempting to. I think he could leave, but as long as the Bucs are able to put a close to fair market contract in front of him, I think he’ll stay.

  45. Mike Says:

Gronk wants the money and the respect, but at the end of it, he wants to belong to something special, and that’s here in Tampa. It will get worked out.

They were over the cap before Brady renegotiated. There’s only so much space you can create by restructuring without it eventually crippling the team in future years. Also, if Gronk says he wants to be a free agent every year, like Suh, you can’t spread out the cap hit with bonuses. So this isn’t exactly simple.

  47. Pewter Power Says:

Don’t be dumb like Winston and Geraldine by joining an nfc south team and end up losing. Go for the money gronk ok but go back to the afc dude I don’t want to see you get blasted down the seam after helping us win a super bowl

  48. Adrnagy Says:

This is where I find ppl not knowing nothing.

Gronk and suh are not looking for incentives. They’re looking 1 yr guarantee money in my lap. This are accomplish players.
Let see how much more money the glazer are willing to throw.

That’s why imo gronk. Suh should’ve gone first. Will be very hard to replace their exp and multi task ability. Etc.

    Mark2001 Says:

Some of you guys are pretty funny. The Shaq cap hit was only about 5.6 mil.

  49. Ben Says:

He wont leave and I’m not sure I buy the “1 year deal guy now” line. He says he is back, loves fball, came out of retirement bc he feels great. I think if he stays in Tampa, he aligns with Brady’s contract term, 2 more years that way Bucs can defer some of his money. He is shopping around bc the Bucs offered him lower and he thinks he is worth more. Maybe not in a flat cap year but this year lots of vets getting cut and will get paid less.

  50. Allbuccedup Says:

Trade Howard sign Gronk. OJ hasn’t played a full season yet and probably never will.

  51. 74 Bucs fan Says:

Shaq is only counting about $5 mil against the cap – and we got him for $17 mil roughly. That is a steal. Signing Shaq does not mean that we won’t be able to sign Gronk, AB, Suh, or anyone else. You guys on here are just not well informed to say otherwise. And where in the he!! do you get your info from? Cartoons?

  52. Bojim Says:

    Experience free agency? Pfft.

  53. Adrnagy Says:

Doosh and mark don’t get it.
    Rod much does

And yes … 1 yr contract affects the cap immediately. Not like shaq $5m cap hit.

So gronk $12m. Suh $8. You need $20m in cap ASAP. . Not including more depth. Also $7m for draft.

So go ahead a rework contracts. And ask the glaziers for more money.

  54. adam from ny Says:

gronk didn’t even so much as glance at his girlfriend in the video…

    not even once…

    wow that’s pimping…like she didn’t even exist

    gronk is straight crunk !

  55. mark2001 Says:

Ad…. we have already made a decision to spread these cap hits into the future. That is what the David and Brady contracts were primarily about. If it requires a few more creative contracts and restructures, I think we will do it. So far, I don’t think we have overpaid for anyone…. and as long as that is the measure, I’m fine with it. To me it is kind of like the Madden comment regarding the Gruden trade in our first SB win… it was something like, if you win that SB as a result of the trade, it is worth every bit of the price paid. And if we can win one more or have a shot at two, it is worth any cap hell we might face for a couple years three years down the line.

  56. adam from ny Says:

    #GronkJustCatchesTuddies #JustAskTom #TuddiesIsLife

  57. StickinUp4Centers Says:

Dude is a Buffalo boy. Wouldn’t surprise me if part of him wants to help bring a Super Bowl to B-Lo. They are close and have little talent at TE.

  58. mark2001 Says:

And btw Ad…if we do those deals, just remember how off base you were about this. No need to debate it…all we have to do is watch the FA signings. And if we don’t sign hardly any of them, or similar guys indicating we found cap to spend, I’ll admit you were right.

BTW…a number of guys on the NFL network have commended us on our strong performance in these contracts… and most of them know a little about the issues. And they have said they thought Arians was letting the beer talk when he said we will “keep the group together”…but now it seems he wasn’t.

  59. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Yes….these are the signings I’m worried about.

$10 mil here, $10 mil there…..Sooner or later it adds up to lots of money.

Am I glad we have Godwin, LVD & Shaq back…..hell yes……..we still have lots of work to do to sign. Gronk, Suh, RNR, Succop, Stinnie, Backup QB….21 draft class.

Jason….get off your lazy a$$ & get to work (jest)

Looking forward to deals with D. Smith, Jensen, JPP…..and don’t forget Godwin.

The franchise tag on Godwin gives us time to work out a long-term deal there.

  60. DoooshLaRue Says:

While I like the concept of “ keeping the band together” I also remember how this last season went.

We had a TON of good luck when it came to timely penalties that extended drives and we were lucky to not have a bunch of penalties called against us.
I kept shaking my head and smiling and thinking “damn, we got lucky again”
We did improve when it came to committing penalties and that’s definitely a positive, but come on, there was a lot of luck involved.

Don’t get me wrong, I think we have a very good team but to think that holding this team together exactly as is and expecting the same results next year is ludicrous.

I think this is where so many “fans” get it wrong and have unrealistic expectations.
I want the winning to continue but come on.

Am I the only fan that sees this?

  61. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Adrnagy

Let’s not be the “cry over spilled milk guy” on Shaq…..surely he’s happy he’s still a Buc.

I never thought we could sign both Godwin & Shaq & have enough for the rest…

But, it’s not over and I’m surprised with some of the maneuvers by Licht thus far.

  62. DoooshLaRue Says:

We can lose some pieces and still have good results is what I meant to say.
The foundation is there for sure, don’t fixate on the fringe.

  63. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    surely you’re happy he’s still a Buc

  64. Adrnagy Says:

Chiefs signing thiuney. That’s a sign that vea and suh hurt there oline. They’re strengthening the inside first.

  65. Snook Says:

Hahahaha!! Joe doesn’t actually believe he’ll sign elsewhere.

  66. Adrnagy Says:

Don’t get me wrong. I want shaq. Like I said at a fair price and not risking other important key players.

  67. mark2001 Says:

Doosh…for years we have been called for penalties that just made you shake your head. I think Arians almost blew a fuse a few times two years ago, a couple of times. I really don’t think the officiating made much difference in the outcome of our games. Now some of it is subjective…could a receiver have gotten to a ball, and such on a pass interference. But at times, I’ll admit, I still don’t understand why one O lineman is called with a hold and another doing apparently the same thing, not.

  68. 74 Bucs fan Says:

Doosh – the Team is ALWAYS looking to improve at every single position. Where do you see us improving? Which position? Licht is working to bring the Team back – so can we just give the man time to continue to do his fantastic work? If he brings everyone back on O and D, where do you suggest we improve? What FA? There is improvement to be made on Special Teams, but can you really tell us of a position on either side of the ball that you would replace with a FA?

  69. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I think Gronk’s girlfriend would do quite well in Free Agency herself…..

  70. SCBucsFan Says:

We win the Super Bowl, sign our 3 biggest FA and have small holes to fill yet some of you whine. Have a snickers.

  71. BilLBob11 Says:

Some of you fellows make me miss ndog and tmax

  72. BilLBob11 Says:

  73. Bird Says:

    Thueney

5 years 80. He is a dang oline guard and is getting almost the same deal as shaq. And edge rusher. Now thats overpaid.

  74. PassingThru Says:

I think he’s testing the market not to leave, but to try angling for a better (closer to market value) contract from the Bucs.

  75. gbobucsfan Says:

Per Sportrac we have $9mil left BEFORE the Shaq deal. So we really have $3.4 mil left. Def need to free up money somewhere. Rookies are roughly $7 mil.

    Interesting #’s
    Cam Brate $6mil
    Will Gholston $5.5mil
    Howard $6 mil

  76. Adrnagy Says:

    @Scbucs,

There’s more than 3 key FA.
    Cappa went down-stinnie
    Vea – Nunez / suh
    Evans / Godwin – brown
    Oj- gronk
    White – minter

Safeties went down. – edwards, adams.
Who’s your back up tackles ?

So yea … we only 3 FA. And small holes to fill.

    Stinnie is gone.

  77. Cainishere Says:

I am one of those who think that Shaq is a product of a great system in coaches and scheme. I believe that a rookie could produce 8 sacks per year in our system. This was my argument regarding Shaq. It isn’t that I dislike the guy or anything, it’s just I think his success here in Tampa is deceptive because of what Suh and Vita bring to the equation. Regardless, I think the deal is a great one for the franchise as far as dollars and cents. Now we will se if his production drops. If he get’s less than 8 sacks we blew our money.

  78. Adrnagy Says:

  80. Fred mcneil Says:

If we can get a pass catching bellow at #32 we’ll be unstopable.

  81. Cainishere Says:

Oh as far as Gronk goes we all know he is going to play with his bestest buddy and get more Tuddies in the next Super Bowl 🙂

  82. Cainishere Says:

You know Brady liked throwing to OJ Howard and with him coming back it will add just another gifted target with gifted hands. The Bucs seem to very good at finding players with great catching abilities. Now if only they could find a RB that could catch as well as run. Our RB corps has issues in that dept. and you know how Brady loves a RB that can catch the pass. GO BUCS!!!!

  83. Jerry Jones Says:

Guy just wants to live it up a little. Let him get wined and dined, he deserves it. And when he’s done, he’ll be right back in Tampa.

  84. PhillyBuc Says:

As deep as the remaining talent at TE is, none of them come close to Gronks run blocking skills. There’s a reason why Lenny kept finding the edge during their late season run. Sign him for one more

  85. buxsxntkt Says:

Gronk just needs little Gronk to be massaged by Camille after the game. Doesn’t matter what town he is in , perhaps Camilletown.

  86. David Says:

He will be back. That is my belief.
    But…
I believe they are going to make him an offer that he accepts or doesn’t.
He has no leverage with them because they have Brate, Hudson and OJ Howard.
At this point in his career, Gronk‘s biggest asset over Brate or OJ is his blocking.

Plus he knows they are trying to sign others and don’t have that much available so I am not sure what the point of all this is

  87. Buccos Says:

The Shaq signing is huge! The team first approach by our most veteran players is what allows us to keep this window open. If Gronk were playing poker he would lose his chips because he is a lousy bluffer. I do not believe for one minute that he will leave us before Brady retires. And I would say that they will ride off into the sunset together.

  88. SCBucsFan Says:

Ardnagy you don’t think we can sign a similar talent to Stinnie who wants to make a run at a ring? Backups will arrive to play with Brady.

  89. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

Any of you that don’t realize the importance of Gronk missed the entire season. Brady was getting killed the beginning of the season and running game was so so. Please go back and watch this guy, plus he took a year off. I watched him in NE for years, there is no one like him. Sign him and AB. Lenny, OJ, Succop are disposable. Not sure why Minter was sig ed first.

    “…Am I glad we have Godwin, LVD & Shaq back…..hell yes……”
    ———————————-
reminder: we had these three on 2019, ShB got 19 sacks….we end it 7-9.
2020 we got TB12 with his gang, we won the SB. So is OK not to pay TB12 gang, but is OK to pay CG;ShB;LV…. don’t get it!!!! 2020 ShB got 6 solo sacks and 3 with his buddies, not many…. BUT we won the SB….

If true this is the nugget: Gronk doing this for show and clicks. Never played without Brady so why would he. Love him be he’s an attention whore

  93. adam from ny Says:

    what if:

    they offer gronk a 2 year deal…

    with 3 years voidable 🙂

  94. IrishMist Says:

Find out what other teams are offering, then offer 2 million less with the option to skip training camp and preseason. I think he’d go for it.

  95. Steven007 Says:

Adam, that’s what I’m thinking with gronk. We can pay him a couple million down the road when he’s not here. Wouldn’t be surprised if they structured that way. Yes one day we’ll have to pay the Piper but not now…

  96. Steven007 Says:

    And we just resigned him…

  97. buxsxntkt Says:

all these contracts have to be structured so that CG can get a real contract this year or next year ! Voidable years for all, CG should be able to play here for a long time, he will be our go to guy after TB and ME, during the rebuild.

  98. TiredBucsFan Says:

    There’s reports we signed him!

  99. Zzbuc Says:

He will be back!! Another crap strategy!!

  100. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

    Gronk resigned,10/m

  101. Jeffbuc Says:

Gronk resigned 1 year 10million. Hope it is incentive driven

  102. PassingThru Says:

Wow… that’s $2 million to $2.5 million more than I thought he’d be signed for. There has to be some incentives in fine print.

  103. David Says:

10 mil?? Him… Where is that money coming from?
    And Suh and/or Nacho?
    Succop?
    AB? Lenny?

I’m glad he signed but seems like an awful lot.

By my calculations that puts them at zero available

  104. DaBux Says:

Uh, no. He’s back. My jersey is safe. Now my wife will enjoy a night of passionate Bucloving in celebration of today. WOW. Jason Licht, I used to swear at you.

    Now?

I owe you a bunch of beers next time I see you on the water.

  105. J$MCSports Says:

    Hes baaack

  106. Chad Says:

$8 million in 2021 with additional $2m in incentives

  107. Cobraboy Says:

    That didn’t take long.

    He’s quite the jokester…

  108. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

So guys, who do you think goes, brate or oj, question of the day

  109. Bird Says:

    It sounds like escalators

So if he gets 10 tds ….he gets extra mil or 2
Or if he catches 60 balls
Or if he has 850 total yards

  110. Gofortheface30 Says:

David – do you lose your boner during sex a lot too? Jesus enjoy the fact that we have all the important pieces back ready to make another run at a title and hear you are worried about other people’s money. Be happy that the Bucs are prohibitive favorites going in to next yr dude. Jesus Christ some of you people are mind blowing

  111. Will Says:

    GRONK IS BACK!

  112. Jeffbuc Says:

Juice is gone now. Couldn’t stay healthy. But he is the guy in 2 years we all say why did we get rid of. If he can stay healthy I can see him having a 70 catches 1,000 yards and 12 touchdown season. But you can’t keep paying 2-6 million a year hoping this is the year. Rebuilding team yes and that’s why they stay bad. But a super bowl chasing team can’t waste that 6 million on joes favorite word HOPE he stays healthy this year

  113. Gofortheface30 Says:

Steven and you, you sound like a complete chicken little cun*. “Pay the piper down the road.” All of you need to STFU with your salary cap worries. You’re not accountants, you’re not a GM, it’s not your money. The Bucs have a loaded roster, they could be one of the dominant teams of this era and you guys are worried about 3yrs down the road. Some of you are the absolute worst. Besides, the cap could be as high as 250 million come 2023 with the new tv deal anyway, and oh by the way the Bucs have the 5th most cap docs come 2022 per over the cap. Holy hell you guys are just the WORST

  114. adam from ny Says:

    gronk
    brate
    hudson

    the other guys are gone…

    oj
    auclair

  115. David Says:

    Gofortheface30

Not sure why my erection is on your mind dude but… I’m flattered?

Discussing the salary cap, since there is none available, is what most of threatds have been about for about two weeks now. I could care less if they spent 100 million on every single player, it’s not my money.
The concern is signing some other players that are necessary to repeat. So I simply pointed out that 10 million seemed like an awful lot for Gronk. Turns out it’s 8,000,000+ incentives.
And it turns out Shaq is only a 6 million cap hit this year.

So if everyone else wants to discuss the cap and free agent signings I suggest you let them and not focus on their penises

  116. Beeej Says:

You don’t appreciate good tight ends until you try and find one in fantasy that actually produces. There’s only a very few

  117. crazyBucs_CL Says:

great! keep TB12 happy, bring back the best TE of all times, and the most enthusiastic man is locker room. He brings optimism and joy among his peers.
    Great News!

  118. Buc4evr Says:

OJ can not stay healthy neither can Evans or Godwin for that matter. They better sign both Gronk and AB.

  119. Steven007 Says:

Go for the face, feel better now after getting that off your chest? Dude, take Joe’s advice and get your T checked. Child…

  120. Steve M. Says:

Latest Gronk is back fior 1 year for $8M. With incentives to $10M.
