Tom Brady Is Publicly Lighting His Own Fire

February 17th, 2021

It appears Tom Brady already has found an internal drive that will boil within him for the 2021 season.

Mr. Seven Rings has set the NFL standard for greatness with a 34-11 postseason record. He’s the best ever.

So what will motivate him to 100 percent devotion to his craft after completely turning around an embarrassing Bucs franchise in 10 months?

Brady not-so-cryptically answered that question this afternoon with a video Tweet from his personal account. Apparently, Brady can’t stop thinking about the doubters and disrespect that invaded his world last year. He got his social media team to make a statement — video-style.

That’s more a victory lap than motivation for next year.

  3. Mikey Macfly Says:

Love that this started with C. Jordan talking smack! Brady is going for 5K in passing yards and 50 TDs next season. The chemistry is there, the confidence is there…lets go Back-to-Back! Go Bucs

  4. rrsrq Says:

    🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 yeah that’s 8

  5. Davenport Says:

Add Andy Reid to that list of disrespect.

KC Sideline: “Just over a minute left before half coach, what do you want to do?”

Reid: “burn our time outs. keep stopping the clock, we’ll get the ball back and put up some points”

    Brady: “hold my avocado tequila”

    Touchdown Tampa Bay!

  12. Oneilbucs Says:

Again all yall see is one position and one guy . Again it’s going to take the hold team just like last year .

  13. Bird Says:

Was that Mobb deep in background ?
    Good choice!
Brady is a savage and a winner

He went to the losing(est) franchise in all 4 major sports and took that team from last in its own division to super bowl champs

  14. firethecannons Says:

I don’t give a sht what sportcasters say, I am dam glad to have him a Buccaneer!

    Damn I love Tom Brady!!!

  17. Tina Bender Says:

We all know it takes a team. No one is denying that but there is one common denominator in 7 of the past 20….and his name is Tom Brady! Watch ” The Brady 6″ mini film that was made 10 years ago. Its his heart to win! Its his leadership! Its his drive! He knows how to bring it out in others and in himself. Let’s go!!!!

OneilBucs you are correct but the W’s start with the QB and he motivates the entire team, they also feed of the negative comments directed to their QB. Notice in the video he brings in AB, Fournett & Gronk, all to be considered by ex pros with very few rings to be washed up. F them all. Brady may not be Mahomes but his is the second best thing.

  19. Armybucsfan Says:

Oneibucs: very true but look at the impact only ONE player has had in Tampa. Before Brady name the free agents who wanted to come to Tampa?

  20. ocala Says:

    That’s awesome!!!

  24. Jerry Jones Says:

@Mort, the new season has already started. You evidently don’t understand how Brady works.

  25. Buc You Says:

“Daddy no, Daddy!!!… ” Okay Daddy, get another one to throw”

  26. SB : Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

NOTHING better than rubbing sh!t in the haters faces!!!!!
Problem is MOST of them are too p*ssified to admit they were Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!!!

  27. Buc4evr Says:

Ouch. Lol. Hope the azz clowns in the media double down this year. The GOAT needs some more bulletin board material.

  28. JohnBoy Says:

Just when you think you cannot love the GOAT more…

  29. richardtyson Says:

    Max douchebaggery..

  30. Oneilbucs Says:

Jmark it might be a old one but it’s the truth . It’s a team game ain’t no goats in team sports . I look at the hold team not just one guy . That’s for the media and the narrative they push to the sheeps that follow them and believe what they say. But for the people like me will always be hated on sites like this .

  31. Alan Collingwood Says:

Someone help me here please… What was it that Steve Smith said about the Bucs during the regular season? I forgot…

  32. Youngbucs Says:

There go oneilbucs the hater finally showed his face 😂😂😂😂. Oneil stop being a hater winston stunk up the joint cry more mister super bowl or bust. You look and sound stupid talking about it not about one person but stuck and mad that one player is not here. You have no credibility bro eat your crow or never show your face you said our 43 year old QB was washed. You said he would not have the offense humming they broke every single offensive record in teams history in 1 year 😂😂😂😂😂

  33. Bucsfanman Says:

There’s always that “someone” in the crowd that just can’t enjoy the moment! (ahem, Oneil!) Brilliant take BTW!

    Get HYPED!!!!!

  34. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs has no realistic comments watch his response it will be a bunch of nonsense. Watch let’s wait for it👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

  35. Youngbucs Says:

This is the same race baiter who said of course I want a white QB I’m black 😂

  36. Aceofaerospace Says:

That was awesome. I’m going to enjoy every second of this offseason. Plus, I’m light years more confident in this team for 2021 than I was for 2020 and I was confident then.

  37. Reddington Neck Shores Says:

Hahahaha awesome. So fun to have him in the building. Now to be fair- he is too old to be doing what he is doing. But he is doing it anyway. And that’s what’s so awesome. So tell me- who is the first distillery making avocado tequila? Cause this ole man need 2 shots!

  38. TampaTown Says:

What a great video! Please keep posting that link all year! And what do you know, Cam Jordan shooting off his punk a$$ mouth yet again …

  39. Bird Says:

Man. Why are you on here. Seriously?
You are a team guy now?
You talked about 1 player jameis since you have been on here
I can go in comments archives history right now and find jameis jameis jameis

And now you are a victim? Not a surprise with that comment

You are from houston i think. Go be negative nancy for the texans

And every team sport has a goat discussion whether its overall and/or by position. People talk about jordan vs lebron every damn day.

And we know why you dont like brady. You made that perfectly clear
    Get bent.

  40. Gofortheface30 Says:

Bird- yes the song was from Mobb Deep, their first album in 95

  41. Jmarkbuc Says:

Any football fan worth his salt knows it takes a team… and they also know that the single most important position in all of sports is QB.

And we have the best one that ever lived , who motivates and leads a team like no other, and is humble while he does it… so LIGHTEN UP FRANCIS

  42. Drunkinybor Says:

Food solidified.. Cocky Mo Fo cried after we whooped that ass in the playoffs Arrogance cost the Aints and Arrogance cost Chiefs

I was nearly offended by the term you used….. until I realized that you didn’t use the classical “triple O” spelling of the phonetic Douche!

  44. Colin in Canada Says:

    F**k Cam Jordan

  45. tbbucs3 Says:

If we buy the 7 shirts, do we get a refund when it goes up to 8?

The Bucs are in a unique window and Licht needs to be an aggressive spender and forget about the bargain shopping nonsense. Even if it means salary cap hell after Brady leaves.

  46. Youngbucs Says:

Literally every player and coach on the team is doing interviews. And guess what they’re all saying Brady was the difference maker yet you have 🤡s on here that wanna speak for the team. Dude they’re speaking for themselves and they been speaking all season!!!!!

  47. Joe Says:

    F**k Cam Jordan

Cam Jordan has to figure out a way to get past Tristan Wirfs before he can start running his mouth about what he’s going to do with Brady.

  48. Buc4evr Says:

The best is the preseason video of Dianna Russini from BSPN saying that Brady wouldn’t even make the playoffs. Booger to his credit didn’t agree. Dianna to her credit admitted she was wrong and gets to eat a lot of crow today. I love all the garbage talk about Brady because he never forgets and uses it to prove the haters wrong. Keep hating all you doubters…lol.

  49. Onehorse Says:

I’ve been a Brady and Patriot fan forever. The folks in Tampa just didn’t quite know what they were getting in Tom Brady, but I wasn’t one bit surprised by what happened this year. In fact, I even predicted that Tampa would win the Superbowl and that Brady/Gronk would be a big part of it, AND that one of the teams would score 31 points. That wasn’t such a great prediction though, because I had it Bucs 34 – Chiefs 31. LOL Anyway, does anyone want to know my prediction for the next Superbowl winner?

  50. Buczilla Says:

  51. Armybucsfan Says:

    One horse…ya what’s your prediction ?

  52. REDZONE BA Says:

Looking forward to the final Bucs roster in 2021. Does it include > Suh? Godwin? LD? Shaq? Lenny? Gronk? AB? Succop?

Brady presence lifts the Bucs…. Wondering what pieces Brady will have to play with as support in 2021, on Offense and Defense.

Confident JL will fit the right puzzle pieces to Bucs to support another SB run.

Me? I Want Godwin, Suh, LD, and maybe Shaq. Shaq wants his payday and might not happen wBucs. No blame here… get paid, Shaq.

  53. David Says:

So did the fact that this was a video by Tom Brady‘s social media team get lost on you? The whole point was all the talking heads saying Brady is washed up, not the “team”.
So ignoring the fact that your whole premise is ridiculous based on what I just pointed …. let’s move on to reality.

The reality is Mike Evans said Brady has made him run routes better, practice better, watch film better, and become a better man.
Godwin and almost every O lineman has said he’s made them better.
Lavonte and Suh, and some others on defense, have said he’s made them be better.
Almost every player on the team has said he has instilled confidence in them and made them believe they can win, no matter what.
Many on the team have pointed out if they did not feel this before, meaning when JW was quarterback. They would get dejected.

That’s what happens when your quarterback has one of the top five highest turnover rates per game in the history of the NFL. It wears thin.

Brady came in and the mentality of everyone improved immediately.

So one player came in and changed the entire attitude and mental approach. Work ethic got better.
    Practice improved.
    Watching game film improved.
    Route running improved.
So you can talk about team all you want, and we all know it was one hell of a team effort the whole year and in the Super Bowl, but a massive amount of credit goes to-
    The GOAT

  54. David Says:

Suh and Gronk have both said they want to go for two. They want to be bucks. So there’s no doubt in my mind they are going to resign and not break the bank.

Godwin has become a priority for the Buccaneers and I am glad. He is a young awesome receiver. They need to let AB go because they cannot afford what he wants now. Godwin is only going to be 25. Sign him to a six year deal and spread that money out over the next couple years when the cap goes back up.

I think they need to do the same with Shaq and LVD on for your deals.

I do not understand people saying Shaq is not a priority. They have been searching for an edge rushing machine for a decade. Now they have one and everyone’s ready to let them go.
I understand he wants to get paid but The Buccaneers gave him his chance, made him a superstar, so hopefully they can get a little discount and get it done.

Fournette to me is gone. Good luck to him.

  55. REDZONE BA Says:

    @David – TRIGGER Alert….

Brady absolutely changed the culture and dynamics for the core Bucs guys, who were so hungry to win. Brady is a 20 Freaking Year successful veteran, who came to Bucs w/6 rings. And got #7 Ring – with a loaded Bucs team – new Kicker, 1st round RT, RB’s, Gronk/AB. But yeah, it was all Brady….ok.. Our D was pretty good, too.

Brady attracted impact FA’s and changed the culture – no doubt! Kudos!

As Bucs fan since ’76, trust me @David – I am happily recovering from my adult beverages consumption on SB Sunday. AND THRILLED for our 2nd SB win. LOVED IT!

I still pontificate – if JW had the same team as Brady, and with an adjusted Risk-It offense afforded to Brady – with a real running game – what JW could have accomplished in YR 2 under BL/BA… SB win? We will never know.

JW effed up his future as a Buc’s QB, no doubt. But 2019, JW played hurt during his last 4 games (knee/throwing hand). If JW sat out those last 4 games (w/o his key WR’s) for his own health instead of being a team player – JW likely would be the Bucs QB in 2020.

Does that scenario with JW as Bucs QB, mean Bucs win the 2020 SB? Nope! Most impactful to our SB win – is Brady attitude and confidence for the team.

I get the bigger picture regarding Brady – short term. And – Brady leading Bucs in 2021. Bucs will likely win NFC South title and be in playoffs. And contend for another SB title. Awesome!

JW is likely the future Saints QB for 202

  56. REDZONE BA Says:

    adding on—

Will be interesting to see how JW impacts the NFC south. I’m not betting against JW. He has matured as a person and NFL QB.

    Go Bucs!

  57. Youngbucs Says:

I love when people say it’s not the same team. No duh completely blowing over the fact that the main upgrade was at QB. Come back to reality people it’s ok your messiah will take the field again let’s see what he does. Because his excuses are wearing thin the field will do the talking.

  58. D1 Says:

Those last 4 games, Winston threw for 450yds, 439yds, 350yds, 190yds. Those are close but not exact. Yds wise , it’s the best 4 game stretch in his career. Bottom line is the injury is no excuse. His production was outstanding.

Additionally, with the interceptions , low qbr, and losing the confidence of many teammates and coaches it was a good decision for both sides to move forward.

5years without any success isn’t a luxury afforded to any of the QBS these days.

Has he matured, he’s thrown a few passes, how much can you deduct from that is questionable. I sincerely hope he has but it remains to be seen.

  59. I CARE NOW Says:

Here is the story with JW, Career Loser. The End

  60. SteveK Says:

Brady is the GOAT and best QB ever. No shot our former QB leads us to the SB! The former QB wouldn’t inspire these guys like Brady, and we closed the year on a franchise best 8 game win streak.

JW threw for a lot of yards, and he had more turnovers than touchdowns last year. He was the biggest reason why we weren’t a playoff contender. 7 pick 6’s, and the field position sacrificed by the turnovers.

It’s not even close and I hope we can offer a contract extension to the Goat for another year or two.

  61. Mitch Says:

Redzone have you listened to the players speak at all about this team? All that I have heard have said the same thing. Although, Godwin said it best when he described the difference this year. He said it was the fact that Tom took care of the football and the level of belief they had in themselves. They went from just hoping they win games to believing they will win games. That came from the QB1 Brady. JW style is exciting football not winning football. And his play in his 5th year was a confidence killer to his teammates.

  62. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs I will always love my people regardless how some of black folks feel about our people . I don’t sell out for no body and I will say it again I don’t care who the next young quarterback they bring in black or white . I just call out the double standard when comes to quarterbacks . And it is a double standard and I don’t expect most white people to see it . But I will always call it out . Look at the coaching situation right now in the NFL it’s a problem when it comes down to race . Expectly in the south I seen how Moon was treated in Houston . I saw how Pittsburgh done Cornell Stewart calling him the n word as he left the stadium and Bill Coward started crying because of the fans . I will never turn a blind eye to racism in this country !!! Youngbucs I still don’t believe you are black after the Gorge Floyd murder by those coward cops who did that to him . Plus he’s from my city !!!

  63. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs and I saw your responds to that situation that’s why I started calling you cookie !!!

  64. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs you are the definition of a clown I’m selling out black people because I want Brady over winston. You need help you’re the worst type of person seriously. And you’re talking about my response to the Uber situation which was how would you feel if it was your daughter. I think everyone on this site would feel the same if it where their daughter. You are a loser in life bro I’m done with you you’re a waste I will never debate you on this site again you’ve got nothing goodbye bye 🤡.

  65. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs You believe what they tell you about Jamies and a rape case that he was found not guilty on . He had witnesses to confirm it . I have a cousin that’s been locked up since 1993 . He was a football star at the same high school where Thruman Thomas went to . The gril said he didn’t rape her in court but the judge told him that he was going to make him a example that you young black males ain’t going to tair up his town . And the gril was a white gril they were both in the 10 grade when her dad caught them in bed . So I believe if a guy have proof then should not be treated like a criminal .

  66. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs and as for you wanting Brady over Jamies I can care less about that . I don’t care who the quarterback is I’m just not going to put no one man over the team . But yall sit here and make this all about Brady and for get about what the defense done and our running game just because of your hate for Jamies no I will never agree with that . Just like I will never hope for worst for Jamies . I wish that brother nothing but the best . every week Jamies gave it all he had every Sunday regardless of playing with a 32 ranked defense with no running game . Then came to a team that never developed a quarterback in the history of the franchise . So I will never hope the brother fail unless he’s playing the bucs . I will never wish nothing bad on any body because I’m not a hater expectly to another black man .
