There Is No Tom Brady Fatigue

February 20th, 2021

Lasting impact on franchise.

We live in Tom Brady’s world. Deal with it.

That’s the message from former Bucs offensive lineman and current popular local sports radio personality Ian Beckles. On his podcast, “In the Trenches,” Beckles fielded an e-mail from a listener asking if Brady’s teammates are getting tired or even sick of answering questions from reporters about the Bucs’ park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, trophy-throwing and Super Bowl-winning quarterback

Beckles, in so many words, said hell no.

“As long as they keep on winning, they don’t care,” Beckles said. “They don’t really give a crap. This is Tom Brady’s world. If you want to say what is the main reason the Buccaneers won the Super Bowl, I would say Tom Brady is the majority [reason].

“And it’s not all play. It obviously has a lot to do with what he did off the field as well. The way he changed the locker room, there’s no doubt about that.”

Then Beckles said something Joe believes is dead-on accurate.

The impact of Brady will be far-reaching for the franchise. Brady guided a team that constantly stepped on rakes for the better part of a Lost Decade and showed it what it took to win a championship.

So while Brady won’t be with the Bucs much longer (two years, three years?) Brady’s impact will last because many of the young Bucs will stay after Brady hangs it up, Beckles said.

“Now all of those players have a Super Bowl pedigree,” Beckles said. “We have a whole locker room full of champions now.”

As always, Beckles welcomes feedback and encourages listeners to submit Bucs questions by e-mailing him at IanBeckles@RadioInfluence.com.

What? That cant be. I know of one person who will hate this article
    😂

    Dang right about that
Our whole team has super bowl experience
We went thru brees , brady and mahommes
That may be the definition of murderers row

Gravediggers gave each one of them an early and unkind death

  2. Chris L Says:

Agree I said this mid season.

  3. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

    LOL, nice try Ian Beckles.
New England has a “locker room full of champions” and didn’t even reach the playoffs this year.

  4. David Says:

I think I can speak for a lot of Buccaneer fans, and other fans of the NFL around the country, when I say a lot of us were getting Tom Brady fatigue. I respected what he had done but like most, was sick of watching New England go to championship games and Super Bowls.
    Then he came to Tampa.
And you saw how he was with the local media.
And you saw how he was with teammates.
And you saw how he was with work ethic.
You heard how all the teammates talked about him.
And you see him on social media.
And you see the child like joy he still has just playing and winning.
And even that genuine joy from his supermodel wife when watching football.

At some point you just need to shake your head in disbelief.
The guy has it all, seems to do everything right, and still just loves the game and refuses to get old and lose

  5. Shannon O Woodcock Says:

How many people left on that New England roster from the last Super Bowl win?

Experience counts for allot. But so does leadership.

On defense Devin White has become the leader.

On offense when Brady does step down the Bucs will have to find a leader. And without a doubt I am more of a fan of a QB with a brain vs a QB with only a cannon and/scramble skills.

  6. Youngbucs Says:

Hey Webster now watch the haters post nonsense here. They hate the Brady articles because he replaced their messiah their false god.

  7. Robert Says:

A lot better than eating w’s

  8. Swampbuc Says:

    Nice take by Beckles.

The key is “as long as they keep winning.”

As many remember, the 2003 Bucs fell to 7-9 defending their title. Injuries were a big part of that and Keyshawn Johnson went mental (or his neurosis finally boiled over).

Everyone thought the 03 Bucs had a good chance to defend.

I’m not counting any chickens about any lasting culture change.

  9. Beej Says:

I still remember that Monday night game against the Colts. Team went into a tailspin after that

  10. WillieG Says:

“And it’s not all play. It obviously has a lot to do with what he did off the field as well. The way he changed the locker room, there’s no doubt about that.”—— Sounds like leadership? Hmmm, can’t be. Leadership means nothing because some guy on the Steelers said so 40 years ago.

  11. 6throundpick Says:

TB12 knows just how to motivate for the follow-up; no sitting back on last season. Watch. It’s a thing of beauty…

  12. D-Rome Says:

Brady’s impact will last because many of the young Bucs will stay after Brady hangs it up, Beckles said.

I certainly hope that is true but then again, look at the sorry state the Philadelphia Eagles are in. Only three years after their Super Bowl win they are a mess.

  13. Youngbucs Says:

Fatigue 😂😂 only when it’s not your team doing the winning or if you just a hater. We have they greatest football player to ever live and some so called fans butt hurt you can’t make this stuff up.

  14. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs Brady is not the best football player that ever played . Robert Horry has 8 rings does that makes him better than Jordan ? I name you players that’s better than Brady . John Elway, Dan Mornio, Warren Moon, and those are players I actually grew up watching . Now that does not mean Brady ain’t good . Those guys played when football was way more physical.

  15. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs it’s time to for a trues bro we both Bucs fan we disagree on somethings and that’s cool . Let me be honest with you do I think that Brady played apart in us winning yes I do !! But the thing is to me you don’t have to talk down on another guy just to up lift another . Are shouldn’t you get mad because I wish him best . That’s where me and you and others disagree with . But I was celebrateing hard when the bucs won . And I appligize for the cookie comments .

  16. D1 Says:

    Oneilbucs,
    .
Football aside, how are you doing out in H-town? Got friends there that just got their power back yesterday.

  17. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs when you come in quoting rob Parker we know you got nothing. Robert horry go see the wizard for a brain 🤡. And Tom Brady better than ever single player you just listed. And miss me with that physical bull crap also the nfl is a violent sport no matter the era any play can be your last Brady does a better job than most at protecting himself it’s part of his style just another unique thing in his play. His pocket awareness and movement is some of the best the nfl has every seen those little nuances are elite. But I know I’m talking over your head you know nothing about the little things. I’ll bet you think the sacks where cut by more than n half because we drafted wirfs right. And in not saying wirfs is not good don’t put words in my mouth. I’m saying Tom Brady doing his job at a high level makes others jobs easier Ryan Jensen recently said this out his own mouth no need to speculate. But even when the players speak it it means nothing to you. Do you even listen to what the players say they’re the ones on the field who know last better than them.

  18. Oneilbucs Says:

D1 I’m good bro thanks man my power came back on Thrusday morning bro !!! It’s been cold !!

  19. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs I have never said Brady was trash I did say he’s wash up and I still believe he’s not the same guy 5 years ago . Of course he help the team win because he’s the starting quarterback . And the coaching staff did a good job on changeing the playbook for him . And you want amid that for nothing in the world . They gave Brady a running game our defense played good and that didn’t have nothing to with Brady . Last year it was the defense first time playing in a 34 defense . But yall want to make this superbowl all about Brady . Just Skip Bayless who disrespect every player on the team and the fan base when call us the suckneers. I will never them do to me like they do the Patriots superbowl runs . The media has disrespect every good defense the Patriots had by giving Brady all the credit for their superbowls.

  20. Oneilbucs Says:

For give me for typeing to fast .

  21. Oneilbucs Says:

And let me say this if any body believe that football has the same violents it had when those quarterbacks played . It tells me that either you too young or you didn’t watch football back then . I remember when Mike Singletary knock out Ernest Givins I saw the hit . Are when Roinne Lot smashing wr as they came across the middle . You can’t even hit the quarterbacks like my man Sapp did o’r LT did it’s a different football now . Now days it’s a lot of fantasy football fans now . So they don’t understand the game of football like real football fans .

  22. youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs your narratives are so weak and shut up about stupid soap opera talking shows are you serious. I give you real facts and logic and it’s undeniable. I’ll give you more the Bucs run gm this year is no more better than it was in 2019 it’s fact. And the 2019 defense did and accomplish things they didn’t even do this year. How can you honestly talk about the 2019 defense without including you know play with it it’s impossible not to. They are directly linked you don’t know how to debate to be honest.

  23. youngbucs Says:

    Who

  24. youngbucs Says:

Hey oneilbucs tell that to Alex smith his leg still healing see how I hit you with facts logic and examples.

  25. youngbucs Says:

And Brady absolutely helped the defense and running gm you really know nothing about football bro honestly. You know nothing about the details of the gm you give emotional responses.

  26. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs look in your eyes Brady is the only reason why we won . So now I guess Brad Johnson was the only reason why we won in 2002 . So now letting Trent Dilfer go was a bad idea because he was the reason why the Ravens won . Ok look Brady is king in your eyes and when he leave the bucs need to just shut it down because it’s over . You ain’t never going to convince me to believe what you believe . And I will never convince you to see it any other way . But go back ask some one older is football played the same way back in the 80s 90s and they will tell you the same thing I told you . That’s why ain’t no goats because of the different eras and that’s Jordan stamen . So I’m done debating you . I have been enjoying my bucs winning the superbowl the same way I did back in 2002 !! Go bucs !!!

  27. youngbucs Says:

Stfu up u got no debate

  28. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs lol lol lol 😁😆😅🤣 you right because I bring facts and you can’t debate facts lol lol !😄😁😆

  29. Blue Coffee Says:

Great Youngbucs! I love your posts! You are a true fanatic of TB12! Ha! Ha! That’s my guy!
Even if I see Brady like the best QB today, and I’m not sure if he is the best ”Football player all positions”, I like your position! Stay with it!
Are you objective? Hell no! You are a TB12 fanatic like me with my BUCS! You root for Brady? Great! And to be honest, you have some good arguments to believed that TB12 is the best player all positions, because, he is the only human to have won 7 rings! THE ONLY ONE.
I was a linebacker, so i like the defense a lot. A bad Linebacker at that,… Ha, ha, ha,… but who cares? So I am no sure if Brady is the best football players all positions. Because I feel that once upon a time, the NFL had many great and very athletic defenders in the old time,…
But, I can understand your love fora player, because I feel the same for our BUCS. I have the upmost respect for someone who cares about sport!

Hoperfully TB12 is with us! And we enjoyed the ride!

    GO BUCS!!

  30. Youngbucs Says:

Blue coffee I’m a Bucs fan not strictly a Tom Brady fan. Don’t believe what oneilbucs is saying. We have been arguing before Brady got here. He’s a jameis homer a supported a change at the QB position. The fact that it is Brady is just gravy. What I’m doing is not letting him diminish Brady play and impact on the team with his nonsense he brings no valid points. Thx for your comment though.

  31. Youngbucs Says:

    I

  32. Oneilbucs Says:

Youngbucs I have never diminsh Brady play on the field the coaching staff did a good job in changeing the playbook to fit a 43 year old quarterback . I still believe that Brady wouldn’t have won with the roster from last year . That’s why they added players to the team . That’s why he wanted other players but I’m not going to let you diminsh the other players like they have done to the Patriots superbowls run . And that’s what yall are trying to do to the bucs . And as for Jamies I just don’t hate the guy like yall do and I wish him the best in life. But don’t act like I’m lieing about this team who never developed a quarterback . And I will ask you this name a guy that this team develope. So is the organization o’r the players ? I grew up watching a franchise quarterback in Warren Moon .

  33. Oneilbucs Says:

I’m not diminshing Brady play on the field . But yall ain’t going to diminsh the play of everybody else . Yall ain’t going to make this superbowl run all about Brady like the media did to the Patriots. And it’s not Brady fault but again I look at the hold team so answer my question . How many bad defenses that Brady played on in New England ?? They stayed a top 5 scoring defense because that’s the stat that count the most on how many points that a defense gives up . Go see how many times a offense scored 30 points on the Patriots defenses in the past 20 years . Now answer that question ??
