Danny Amendola Talks About Bucs Without Talking About Bucs

February 1st, 2021

Shoutout from old teammate.

Over the next week, you are going to hear from just about every has-been and half-arse NFL player known to man just because he once played in the NFL, plays in the NFL or maybe caught a few footballs from park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Why? Because it is Super Bowl week and people have to hawk products and sports radio and television shows throughout the land must fill air time.

Enter brittle wide receiver and former squeeze of Kay Adams, Danny Amendola. The little guy who could is on his fourth NFL team in Detroit. He once upon a time caught passes from Brady while playing for the Belicheats.

In an appearance on FS1’s “First Things First,” Amendola went scorched earth on the Belicheats coaching staff and made it perfectly clear why the Belicheats are no longer in the Super Bowl — and why the Bucs are (without mentioning the Bucs at all).

Basically, Amendola said we all live in Tom Brady’s world so enjoy the ride and quit trying to ride his cape.

Stupid, and simplistic analysis…..Close to stupid…..This is a team sport, not tennis or golf……
TB12 was very important for this achievement , but what about Evans, CG, JPP, white and many many more…..

  2. Robert Says:

TB has made it to the SB many times with 1/2 the talent this team has.

  3. Joe Says:

but what about Evans, CG, JPP, white and many many more…..

Sure, it’s a team sport, except that one position is likely the most important of all positions in any team sport short of a pitcher. Don’t pretend you could have put Dare Ogunbowale behind center and the Bucs would have made the playoffs.

Quarterback is slightly more important than a right guard or a strong safety.

Joe has seen a hot quarterback carry a team (maybe even this year’s Bucs) but Joe has yet to see a left tackle put a team on his back.

  4. Beeej Says:

Absent Brady we haven’t even been a .500 team in most of a decade One year of Brady and we’re in the frikkin show

  5. Pigsueybucsfan Says:

That’s what got the patriots in trouble to begin with that “we can put almost anyone at quarterback and win” attitude .TB proved that to be WRONG! GO BUCS

  6. Listnfrmafar Says:

First off Joe, you are totally wrong about Amandola. He is a baller and as good and tough a receiver as any. At San Diego he was.#1.receiver and when he was at NE next to Edleman he was as clutch as anyone. He single handedly beat Jacksonville in PO’s ask PO Lenny he will tell you who sent them packing. I can understand his bitterness becuase BB did not renew his contract for short money. How’d that work out for Pat’s? So I am asking before you criticize a player please do a little research before you belittle their abilities and character. One of TB12’s great friends.

Please point out where Joe typed that he was not.

You ever see him play a home game in person when he was in St. Louis? Joe did. Is that enough research for you?

  8. Show Me the TDs Says:

Zzbuc, 7-9 prior to Brady. That’s where they were.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

Joe, as a season ticket holder of the Patriots, I have seen him play plenty. He is far from brittle actually the opposite. He was the Playoff Lenny for the Patriots only great during season as well. He bitched once about his contract and like other great players before him, three of the most notable Welker, Seymore & Mankens

  10. EA Says:

Can’t argue against Amendola, as soon as Brady bounced all of a sudden many players opted out presumably because of the sickness.
Patriots will continue to regress IMO and belly-chick will get canned in a few years, grown men can’t tolerate an arrogant arse coach like him. Everyone keeps saying he is the best coach bla bla, this season and others to come will prove that he is mediocre at best and Brady deserves the bulk of the credit.

@listnfrmafar , relax dude, Joe is just Jealous that DA got Kay Adams, our “it” girl ! go easy man, have one of those nasty Big Storm beers Joe is always talking about !

  12. Kentucky Buc Says:

Danny playoff was clutch when it mattered most. What more can u say about a guy.

  13. webster Says:

    @ show me the tds

They were 7-9 before brady, wirfs, Gronk, AB, winfield, fournette, succop etc. This is not the same team from last year. The patriots had 12 players 8 on the defense ie all pros back out this season. A defense that was ranked #1 last year. Im sure that had something to do with it as well. This is a TEAM sport.

  14. Kentucky Buc Says:

Btw how many people noticed that ESPN has Diana Rusini covering the Game. She of the Bucs won’t make the playoffs fame. Talk about tone deaf.

  15. The Red Mirage Says:

That’s harsh, but I love it!

  16. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Kentucky

She’s on KC beat though right?

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

buxsxntkt, point taken, jealously has skewed many a man rationality? Joe thinking with wrong head.

  18. Kentucky Buc Says:

@Jmark. Yes I believe she is. Still a little puzzling. They have a lot of other options.

  19. NoBody Says:

ZzBuc, come on man. Go know this guy off for any of his greatness means you know know spit lol Tom Brady has been to 18% of every super bowl to ever been played… let that settle in and say he wasn’t the X factor we needed. He has taught the pros on our team what to Truly WIN means.

  20. Buc1987 Says:

Take away Tom Brady and this team is 6-10.

  21. Joe Says:

She of the Bucs won’t make the playoffs fame.

    🙂

  22. ItzOK Says:

TB deserves all the credit itz panning out. This team couldnt sniff the playoofs and we were all looking at mock drafts before Halloween in the previous years.

  23. Kentucky Buc Says:

The whole team deserves credit. Brady is the catalyst for sure but the d has stepped up big too. Even special teams stepped up last week. Starting to look like a balanced team. Hopefully they keep most of them together next year. I have a feeling you haven’t seen nothing yet.
