Warren Sapp Predicts A Buccaneers Super Bowl Victory, Gives All Credit To Tom Brady

January 14th, 2021

Iconic No. 99 is no fan of Ndamukong Suh, but he has nothing but massive appreciation and love for Tom Brady.

Warren Sapp made his way to Club Shay Shay this week (yes, Joe listens) and was asked to pick his Super Bowl teams and winner when the game arrives in Tampa next month.

Sapp, who never has a problem throwing darts at the Buccaneers — and he’s not high on their defense — wasted no time declaring a victory for the ages by Tampa Bay.

“We are in sync right now. Tom Brady can hit A.B. on that post route now, it ain’t off no more and you’re going to need 40 to beat us. You’re going to need 40,” Sapp bellowed. “It ain’t about my defense right now. The new NFL ain’t ’bout no defense. Defense don’t win no championships. Defense gives you a chance and your offense and your $100 million quarterback has to win it for you.”

Sapp went on to say nobody keeps track of game-changing tackles, they keep track of game-winning drives for QBs.

How much credit does Brady deserve for the culture and performance change in Tampa? Sapp was asked.

“All of it,” he replied.

Sapp added that fear gripped Bucs faithful and the nation when Brady looked like Jameis Winston for a few games, but Brady rose up and the team now is riding the very capable horse that is Brady.

Oh, and Sapp thinks the Bucs will throw down the Chiefs when they get to the Super Bowl.

Be right on this one, Warren. Be right!

If the Bucs get past the Aints,
    I agree with Sapp.
They are the team Ill be betting on.
Brady, with all these weapons- is absolutely the Goat.
He is incredible, surrounded by great talent. Hes deadly for defenced.

    Stennie-we are counting on you!!

  2. TampaTown Says:

I miss Sapp so much! We ought to have him suit up for the rest of the season. Did you see that video of him swimming in the open ocean without even wearing a vest? Very hard to do, his cardio has to be on point

  3. Mitch Says:

I’m liking what I’ve learned about Stinnie. Seems like another potential small school gem by Jason Licht. The kid pancaked Aaron Donald this year and Ryan Jensen compared his ability and body to Ali Marpet. He’s really athletic like his father who played in the NBA for 12 seasons. He just came from a small school and needed to develop his technique.

I am optimistic but we’ll find out the truth on Sunday!

  4. chris L Says:

joe i am going to go BUC wild after we win on sunday night!

  5. Lokog Says:

I just wanna beat those aints it’s the team I hate more than I hate the slum Diego Padres

  6. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

IF we can protect Brady, we win, simple as that.

  7. Ericb Says:

Let gronk pritect his boy TB12….lets run the ball and defense play with intensity…TAMPA BAY ALL THE WAY

  8. Roy T. Buford Says:

Great player, low budget, POS person, liability to society….but I like his prediction.

  9. BillyBucFan Says:

Really odd to hear Sapp say this and NOT this trash defense can’t beat NO.
Maybe he secretly spiked Brees drink and knows he’s gonna be puking for 4 days.

Now that I think about it, Shady has a strange illness.
    Why not Drew Brees.
Would love to somehow face Jameis for the win.

  10. bojim Says:

If we down the Saints then I believe we can go all the way.

  11. EA Says:

Bucs fooled everybody week 9, I’m not buying the hype again…. believe it when I see it.

  12. Buczilla Says:

    _______________

Well he was never convicted of anything. And I sure having a gold digger of an ex-wife had something to do with his issues.

  14. Buccos Says:

Warren Sapp is quite possibly the greatest Buccaneer of all time. I met him before up at One Buc and he seemed cool to me. Your statement probably says more about you then it does him.

  15. August 1976 Buc Says:

As I have stated on many posts, P R O T E C T Brady and the Bucs can beat anyone in spite of their often exposed secondary. The only variable is turnovers. Time to put “Uncle Drew” out to pasture. GO BUCS!!!

  16. Elita Vita Says:

Let’s start the cheer! Let’s go Tampa let’s go. Let’s go Tampa let’s go! Go Bucs!!!

  17. ModHairKen Says:

    Suh would crush Sapp.

  18. Richard Rau Says:

Certainly nobody in N.O area is expecting another 38-3 blowout, but that blowout ended a 5-game win streak for the “greatly improved Bucs” since the week 1 loss in the Dome, and who got all the network pre-game hype . Btw, that silly Bucs field goal came with about 5 minutes left in the game and was simply to avert a Saints defensive shutout…talk is cheap….38-3 wasn’t..

  19. Rob Belleaire, Says:

No off season!! No preseason, new GOAT QB for T.B.
Virtual training and practices only, remember that? After growing up a Bills fan you can only imagine how much I learned to Hate “Tommy Terrific” over the years!! But here he is rejuvenating a team, and fan base into believing we can be winners for the first time since the Great Tony Dungy…face it, Gruden won with Dungy’s team!! All I can say is, come on defense Please play like the supposedly Great Defense You Are but I can Honestly say I haven’t seen yet this season!! “D”, You have moments in games but now you obviously need to not just have “moments”, YOU NEED A COMPLETE GAME!!

  20. MadMax Says:

    Bucs vs Bills, not chiefs

  21. Colonel Angus Says:

This story that the Bucs D is garbage is getting a little out of hands. A case where someone says something and then everybody just repeats it over and over. Is it great? Nope, but 6th in yards and 8th in points ain’t garbage. The era of shut down, dominate defenses that hold opponents to 220yds and 13pts a game are long gone. The top defenses these days limit the oppositions big plays, create turnovers and get key stops at the critical moments in games. For the most part this years defense has done that. The Rams are #1 in giving up 18.5pts a game, the Bucs gave up 22.2pts per game (good enough for 8th). The 2002 Bucs gave up 12.3 pts a game, the 2000 Ravens gave up 10.3pts a game. Times have changed!

  22. ReverseTowelGirl Says:

    Beat the Stains!

  23. August 1976 Buc Says:

Historical note. Just to be fair to John Gruden, he added 3 TE’ and 2 wide receivers and a Running. That is 6 positions on the offense for the SB winning Bucs. If Dungy would have been willing to change his way, he would not have been fired. Dungy is good guy but, as J Mckay said at the time “We are not a QB driven team” That goes straight back to Dungy, and McKay getting the players the HC wants, they were not willing to change offensive philospy and it cost Tony his job in Tampa. GO BUCS!!!!

  24. NOLES Says:

    Agree Roy T

    jo Mamma –

You don’t have to be arrested to be a POS of a person…. most people I know who have come in contact with him have told stories of a rude & disgusting person. He is however and HOF DT and CRUCIAL piece of our success & turnaround. NO DOUBT about that

  25. Nick2 Says:

Yes lets please beat the Saints. I want to give them one more playoff game where Sean Payton has to hang his head. He looks for trash talkers in the draft he presides over bounty gate this guy is a thug and his team needs to go home. The only thing i have wondered about is did he talk to Cameron Jordan before he drafted him? The guy has some sacks but sounds more like Michael Jackson than Michael Jordan.

  26. Sol Says:

This is shaping up like the old Bucs that used to. bow to the Philadelphia Eagles. Once they cracked the Liberty Bell and shut down that Cow paster
they couldn’t be stopped. When they retire Breezy. It’s on !!!! Bucs 36-21.

  27. Bucfan81 Says:

If we beat the saints it is game over after that. This is the biggest game for the Bucs since the 2002 NFC Championship game. The confidence level will be so high if we beat the Saints that no other team will have a chance.

  28. Rod Munch Says:

Sapp is my favorite football player ever for a reason, and it goes beyond how he played, it goes to how much you can buy into what he’s saying when he starts talking.

  29. Grizam Says:

I respect Sapp on the field as a Buccaneer not as a human met him twice he was an ass both times

  30. Infomeplease Says:

I’m for playing one game at a time. When the BUCS win on Sunday, they will be one game closer to Warren Sapp’s prediction that’s for sure!!! GO BUCS!!!

  31. Bellingham Bucs Fan Says:

Shayshay and that kid from Apopka. Love it!
