She’s A (Bucs) Believer

January 7th, 2021

Epiphany.

Yesterday was the Day of the Epiphany, a big day in Tarpon Springs (though muted thanks to The Sickness).

And so too was it an epiphany day for an NFL fan favorite who is seen and heard weekday mornings.

NFL Network it-girl Kay Adams, co-host of “Good Morning Football,” said yesterday that she was a doubter for months on the Bucs, even with the addition of park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.

Adams didn’t believe the Bucs had a run game (neither did Joe) and she wasn’t hip with the Bucs’ offensive line. Now she has seen the Bucs nearly have a 1,000-rusher (Ronald Jones) and has seen the line shine for Brady.

“This isn’t dink and doink Tom Brady,” Adams said, noting how the Bucs’ front line is holding their blocks for Brady to throw deep.

As a result, Adams believes the Bucs will advance in the playoffs with a win on Saturday night.

Much of the breakfast table discussion was on Chase Young calling out Brady. Co-host Nate Burleson said Brady likely doesn’t give a damn about Young but what Young’s words were sort of a call to action for the Bucs’ offensive line to be strong.

Co-host and closet Bucs fan Peter Schrager suggested rather than Brady being concerned about Young and Company, it is Alex Smith who better beware of Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaq Barrett.

They make a few good points. Brady threw 40 tds and 12 picks. In primetime games, Brady threw 5 tds and 5 tds and we went 1-4 barely winning. I’m excited but these aren’t the Falcons or Lions and I’ll be pulling hard for the Bears and Rams because I don’t want to go to Green Bay next week but thats what it looks like.

  2. bucfanforever Says:

The WFT are basically the Falcons and the Lions. Don’t kid yourself. WTF are they even doing in the playoffs? Half the team should be looking for new jobs right now.

  3. VABucsfan Says:

    @ Miken,

Trust me bro, me too!! The perfect scenario would be the Rams beat the Hawks, and the Bears beat the Saints! As long as we take care of business, we would host the Rams in a Rematch @ Raymond. Highly unlikely, but we can dream!

  4. Jimmy Says:

She looks like Mary Ann. Didn’t Mary Ann die last week?

  5. Blind Melon Says:

GMFB just had a Bur Lesson on Tampa being dangerous in the playoffs.

Nice to see some kudos for our team.

  6. miken Says:

@bucfanforever… WFT is 4th in team D for the season and 1st over the last 6 weeks. The Lions are 32nd out of 32. Not the same. The Falcons stink and we beat them by 4 a few weeks ago

  7. Ed Says:

    Do not value her opinion.

  8. Robert Says:

they need to move the game

  9. SB : Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

WFT DL: 47 sacks….WFT OL: 52 sacks allowed.
BUCS DL: 48 sacks…..BUCS OL: 22 sacks allowed.

Not to mention they played the Cowboys, Eagles, and Giants Twice!

    WHO exactly should be feared?

    @miken

Tampa is no slouch when it comes to defensive line either. We’re an 11-5 team. They are a 6-10 team. When it comes down to it, that’s all this boils down to.

We’ll beat them. The media just needs to build the hype.

  11. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Interesting, Brady only threw more touchdowns on time in his career…back in 2007. He’s actually having one of his best years.

He’s only thrown for more yards 4 times.

He’s only been sacked less 4 times… (counting the year he played in only 11 games).

He’s only had a better PCT 5 times.

    Over a 20 year span…

  12. 813bucboi Says:

    just win BABY!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

I watch this show pretty regularly, and Kay Adams does not like the buccaneers. She’s a Saints and Chicago fan and will be the first to put the Bucs down, and always picks them to lose. She even said on the show she is rooting for the upset.

Also semi related Washington’s TE Logan Thomas was on the show and they brought up that he is the all time yards and TD record holder as a Quarterback at VA Tech. He’s been used for trick play passes earlier this year. I think we can expect at least one or two of those Saturday.

  14. Smashsquatch Says:

“Going up against Rodgers, no way can he (Brady) beat Green Bay” she says 🤔 News flash Kay, he already has.

  15. Bucfanforever Says:

@miken look at who Washington played. The only games that they played that had any strength were Seattle, Pittsburgh, Ravens, Browns and the Rams. All came when those teams were struggling and they lost most of them.

WFT put up more than 27 points one time against the defenseless cowboys. The Bucs can win this game in one quarter of play. Part of the reason their defense is so well ranked is because the other team only needed 20 points to win, so they didn’t have to try.

And exactly how many times were they asked this season to get through the online that gave up the 3rd fewest sacks, and stop Brady throwing to Gronk, AB, Godwin and hopefully Evans. Plus, Rojo running like a madman.

If the Redskins offense can muster 10 points, I’ll be shocked.

  16. TampaTown Says:

She’s had work done and I don’t like it. Sure hope she doesn’t go the Holly Saunders route.

    @TampaTown:

    she looks good…and cute…

and by the way, i’ll take a plastic bimbette all day any day…

    and why you ask ?…because it’s a bucs life ! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  18. miken Says:

@ i’m with you Bonzai… It’s just not going to be like the last 4 weeks and @ Bears and @giants game were a simmilar match up and we didn’t look good. WFT will score 20 tops. This won’t be a walk in the park and if we sleep walk through the 1st half then we could be in trouble. Lets hope we jump on them early and we can start getting ready for round 2. I know they are 6-10 but records don’t mater. They are 5-1 w Smith.

  19. TampaTown Says:

    Adam: Yuck

  20. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Good info Bonzai.

  21. unbelievable Says:

    Kay looking fine as always!

  22. ClodHopper Says:

Her commercial sitting on her couch is the best commercial on tv!!

  23. Cobraboy Says:

    JPP/Barrett > Young/Sweat

  24. Joe Says:

they need to move the game

    Why?

  25. JayBucsBoi Says:

How is she a believer? She barely believes they beat Washington on Saturday and followed that by saying there’s “no way” our Bucs beat the Packers (or move past the next round??).

    Motivation!
