Charles Woodson On Tom Brady: “That’s Impossible”

January 31st, 2021

A member of Tom Brady’s freshman football class at the University of Michigan, soon-to-be Hall of Fame cornerback/safety Charles Woodson, was talking about his old friend this week.

On something called America’s Favorite Podcast with Warren Sapp, Woodson reflected on what he saw from Woodson in college.

Brady entered school as a guy who was never going to play ahead of Brian Griese, per Woodson, and nobody thought he’d become a living legend at quarterback. But Woodson said the competitive juices and fire of Brady were evident when the Wolverines freshman class would head to the gym to play basketball. Apparently Brady, not known for his athleticism, would get after it on the court like a madman.

Woodson was adamant that win or lose in the Super Bowl, Brady will return for next season with a fire for either a back-to-back title or to avenge a loss.

Joe certainly could see Brady all jacked up to win consecutive Super Bowls, something he hasn’t done since the 2003 and 2004 seasons, an NFL lifetime ago.

If Brady accomplished that, he be the second QB to get it done. Terry Bradshaw was first (’74, ’75, ’78 & ’79).

Of course, Joe’s looking ahead while there’s still a Super Bowl to win!

As for Brady, Woodson advised fans to enjoy him because what he’s accomplished and is doing at his age, “That’s impossible.”

Seven more days, Bucs fans. Seven days.

Finally….Bucs don’t need to look past their next game……and they won’t underestimate their opponent…..
How exciting this must be for the vets that have been waiting for this…..but also exciting for the young players & rookies….getting a taste of championship play.

Amen Charles. There’s a lot less Brady haters these days but some will never learn. I equate it to Jordan for me. I was and still am a Bird guy but as Jordan got older I started to appreciate what he was doing. Brady has gone to a whole different level playing at 43. Appreciate it the next few years. Nothing lasts forever.

  5. PSL Bob Says:

Win this SB to cement his status as the GOAT and then come back next year and lead the Bucs to a perfect (16-0? 17-0) regular season record and a second consecutive SB. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

  6. Buc1987 Says:

Tom looks to me like he could play another 2 years easy.

  7. Razor Ramone Says:

He looks like a darn kid in that pic.

  8. Bobby M. Says:

I think the key with Brady in this last stretch of his career is avoiding the major injury to the shoulder or knee….possibly even the Achilles. He does that, i believe he’ll play until 45.

  9. Bojim Says:

    Don’t forget Elway.

  10. Jerry Says:

Looking at the opponents next year….Playing the NFC East and AFC East. No more Brees in NO. And ATL and CAR are rebuilding. Brady will be returning, and the Bucs coaching staff is going to remain fully intact. Back to back Super Bowls appearances is well within the realm of possibility.

I’m happy for you Tampa Bay Fans, you get what we’ve had for 20 years. I’m happy for those players who have never been to the playoffs and experiencing what it takes to make it to the big game. Win or lose they gain that mentality. That’s what Mr Brady brings to the table. Now LET’S F’N GO!!

We will take down the vaunted Chiefs. It will be close and a lot of tums, or beers, will be consumed.

L indicator…. When the local Boston media would get over the tips of their skis optimistic about a Patriots victory generally the opposite would happen, like in 2007.

I highly recommend that you google “Tom vs. Time” it’s a 5 part series. They’re about 15 minutes each. He has an amazing workout. Watch it and you’ll see things clearer

The original 1976 Fan again. I’d like to commend the Ownership, Management, Coaching Staff and Team for making History during an unprecedented season. While doing something in 54 SB that has never been Done. Now it’s Time to Show the Chief’s something which they’ve Never Seen and that’s Defensively removing the Torch from their Offense(#10) by allowing the TB (#24) best corner help over the Top even when they’re in 12 personal and we cannot Forget to introduce the best TB ILB (#45) KC (#87) at the shadow crossing routes. When Todd B allows them to Plaster All Night, there will not be much left to Torch our SB Homecoming at “Ray J” I can hear it Now. “Turn Out The Lights” your Party’s Over. GO BUCS!!

  24. Oneilbucs Says:

I think we can win this game !!!
