“There Is No Excuse At This Point In The Season”

December 7th, 2020

Tired of empty Bucs excuse.

You’ve heard it by now. It bothers the wits out of Joe.

“The Bucs offense needs time.”

Park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, jet-ski-losing, handshake-stiffing Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is learning a new offense. He has new teammates. There was no offseason. There were no mini-camps. He has to get his timing down.

Bulls(p)it!

Rookie quarterbacks are having excellent years. Other teams using backups (who weren’t even on the same team last year) are winning games and still in the playoff hunt.

Yet you still get people like Tony Romo go on national television and cat-wash Brady like he’s some rookie who never started for a big-time program in college.

Enough!

Fetching Colleen Wolfe of NFL Network has had it! The former Flyers Ice Girl took to her employer’s airwaves this past weekend and unloaded on those making excuses for the Bucs’ offense. She said the “taking time” schtick is done.

It’s going to be the middle of December when the Bucs next take the field. The time is now, not March.

“OK, that would be the case if everybody was young and they had their whole careers ahead of them. No! We’re running out of time, at this point, for this team!” Wolfe said of the Bucs offense. “They are so inconsistent, week-to-week, quarter-to-quarter.

“There is no excuse at this point in the season.”

Wolfe is on point. The only young, inexperienced player on the Bucs offense may be playing the best of all of his offensive teammates, Tristan Wirfs. So this empty excuse that the Bucs need time is absolutely full of feces… in mid-December.

Joe hopes Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians and his trusty sidekick Bryon Leftwich got all of his figured out during the late bye week.

You can see Wolfe’s full take in the NFL Network video below.

Not even sure the staff knows what to do at this point. They let Tom pick plays and then chuck the ball 30 yards down field on 3rd and 1. Do they watch for weaknesses in tape? try to duplicate what other teams have had success? Do they script the first 15 plays? One thing is fo sho, opponents have no idea what to expect.

Keeping ROJO on the field , and actually exploiting the opponents inability to stop your running game would go a long way towards improving TB12. ROJO should only come out very occasionally after he gashes the D for a 20+ yard run or pass-PERIOD.
BA cannot keep throwing it 40+ times per game and expect to win consistently. ROJO ran the ball for over 7 yards a carry in the KC game , but only got 9 attempts. Quit trying to show everybody how smart you are by throwing constantly BA and establish the run first , thereby making your play action much more effective.
Better not think this playoff ticket is already punched , Atlanta is playing really hard for Rah. RUN THE DAMN BALL BA.

I agree, the Dolphins have a better record than the Bucs without nearly a 1/10 of the star power. They have been wining with Fitz (A Bucs cast-off) and a rookie at QB and a coach who is not a QB whisperer.

  4. 43IsOnlyOldInHumanYears Says:

One thing that I have to ask, why does everyone think we have a running game? ROJO had one explosive game followed by a game were he ran the ball only 10 times. He must have been well rested for the explosive game against the Panthers because he only rushed 3 time the week before. You can boast about the 7 yard average per carry vs KC but one of those carries was for 34 yards, take that one away he would have averaged close to 4 yards a carry.

  5. Jmarkbuc Says:

No one knows if we have a running game. It gets abandoned about halfway through the first quarter.

    And Colleen Wolfe is smokin’

While ‘fetching’ is a very complimentary word it doesn’t even begin to do Justice to Colleen

She’s spot on. And quite fetching indeed…

  10. Mike Johnson Says:

The biggest coaching staff in the NFl..Bar none. What do they do in those study tape sessions. Do we even scout the opposing team? I’m just dying to see if we can Run The table these last 4 games. No hiding guys. This is the real deal here. Ruck up Bucs.

I the BA/BL love machine spends the majority of its time on figuring out what outfits they’re gonna wear on game day.
They dam sure ain’t scheming against the opponents.
