“He’s Got His Nose Down And Working His Tail Off”

Antonio Brown gets an endorsement

Arguably the greatest gamble of the Buccaneers’ season is reaching a sensitive and critical crossroads.

Joe’s talking about the midseason signing of seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown, a guy the Bucs didn’t need, a guy known for deviant acts and a guy with a penchant for anti-team behavior.

What would be the worst time for Brown to pull a stunt? We’re entering that zone right now.

Joe’s got fingers crossed, but Bucco Bruce Arians is full of pride and noting the Bucs are counting on Brown more than ever.

“He’s got his nose down and working his tail off, being one of the guys and accepting his role every week. And the role has grown each week,” Arians told SiriusXM NFL Radio this week.

Bucs offensive assistant coach and former Brown teammate Antwaan Randle El told the Buccaneers Radio Network this week that Brown’s body is sort of reaching the point where the season is becoming a grind. The context revolved around Brown joining the team in October with no training camp, and after catching 30 balls and upping his workload (and after barely playing last year), Brown’s body is now feeling a little wear.

Everybody at One Buc Palace has good things to say about Brown, so Joe is optimistic. Joe just hopes Brown can hold it together as pressure builds around the Bucs and his 2021 future becomes more of his focus.

ENJOY “WHAT ARE THE ODDS?” Another great production from Joe’s friends at The Identity Tampa Bay.

Takes some guys longer to mature mentally. Finger still crossed.

Feed him the ball tomorrow! Give ME a few touches and let him run around but the guy ,ME,is banged up no need in using him unless absolutely necessary!
Let the run game roll and get out of town healthy and with a win…

For those unaware, the Saints play the Vikings today in a televised game at 4.30 pm.

  4. Casual Observer Says:

Those top three WRs (including AB) have the surest hands I can recall ever seeing in the league. You can count on AB, Evans, and Godwin catching the ball if it is even close. Keep it up AB.

  5. Cobraboy Says:

Seems Brown has exhibited fine behavior since his arrival, an item many nay-sayers claimed was not possible.

  6. Cobraboy Says:

@AltyeredEgo: ME is banged up? How so?

Happy Holidays Bucs fans!! From a Bucs fan prospective this is one of the more joyous seasons with our beloved Bucs on a playoff path. Enjoy the Christmas chill in Tampa Bay today yall. 2020 has had its share of bad but if you a Tampa Bay sports fan like me we have had a lot of great sports moments to get us through!!

Reguarding the article I think we seen a huge value of signing AB here last week. It just wont be possible to double him an entire game and he will get his share of chances to blow the top off of defenses again. Secondaries are going to struggle to find a way to guard him and our TEs/WRs…….the biggest benefit might just be Ronald Jones seeing more green grass as defenses need to respect our big play ability.

I think the best is yet to come from this Bucs team. Enjoy every minute of ot Bucs fans……If you have been a longtime fan you have fully earned this opportunity. It took a lot of heart and passion to stick with this team over the years. Be proud of yourself.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  8. Nutterbuccer Says:

If we lose Godwin in free agency hope brown stays to play with brady

  9. Georger Says:

One thing that most people don’t realize is with Bown if he goes and signs a nice contract in 2021 we will get a Comp pick for him.

  10. Grizam Says:

Merry Xmas here is hoping for a great “W” this Saturday and Next Sunday to finish season strong 11-5 and either NFC South Champs OR #5 Seed into playoffs!! #GoBucs!

  11. Fred mcneil Says:

I really wist the Vikings beat the Saints for Xmas.

  12. Jaymiss Pick6 Again Says:

Agreed Joe – this is a critical time for Brown to just behave. With Coach Arians and Randle El in the building odds are pretty good I would think that Brown keeps on the straight and narrow…

  13. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    So far…..net positive for Brown…..and, yes….someone will sign him to a decent non-guaranteed short-term contract…..doubt he stays a Buc & we will get a comp pick….

He’s reliable on the field…..feed him the ball….he knows what to do with it.

    MAGA…….Make Antonio Great Again!!!

  14. RiodeJaneiroBucsFan Says:

The jury is still out on AB. I was a supporter from day 1, the guy is one of the greatest WR of all times. But his production hasn’t yet met the expectations until the last game, when he was decisive.
The Bucs need him to continue to improve to make a deep run into the Playoffs this year.
Regarding to the future, Chris Godwin will go nowhere in 2021. Hopefully, Licht will manage to sign a multi year extension, but if not, the Franchise tag will be slapped on him.
And, fortunately, Scotty Miller and Tyler Johnson are amazing depth, nothing to worry about the WRs – with or without AB.

  15. ModHairKen Says:

Antonio Brown has been a great player since he arrived. He’s now a Buccaneer. Everyone needs to thank him, be thankful for him, and if it is part of who you are, to pray for him.

Some of his earlier antics were suggestive of a head injury or mental illness. I’m not a doctor, and I’m not trying to be funny. But to observe these things and not worry about the man would be inhumane.

So, let’s stop waiting for the other shoe to drop and respect him and do our best to lift him.

  16. Clean House Says:

Joe the only stunt is you continuing to look for the negative perhaps for the sake of clickbait, or perhaps because that’s just how you choose to roll. AB has been a model citizen. Your continual doubt and mentions of his past are absolutely miserable and sad.

  17. Joe Says:

Your continual doubt and mentions of his past are absolutely miserable and sad.

The only thing sad is people want to whitewash his history.

  18. Jedleman Says:

Let’s put it in perspective. We’ve had a President for the last 4 years with many more accusations against him than AB. So you can be president but you shouldn’t be allowed to play football. And no I’m not making a prejudgment on whether allegations are true against either.

  19. Steve Gaudreau Says:

Bi polar is probably a term that is being used. Not diagnosed is a real problem. I’m not saying that is what it is but man it would sure look like it. Johnny Manziel has openly expressed his issue as bipolar. But with therapy and meds and a good support system it can be mitigated. Brady sure has been a great influence on AB and i hope it continues beyond football.

  20. Listnfrmafar Says:

AB didn’t do anything wrong during his stint in NE. Power, bling, money and illusion ur above the law is common place for many professional athletes, AB is no different just took it to the extreme. Let’s see how he digests his humble pie. He likes Brady, if he stays in line you may have a keeper.

  21. Ericb Says:

Ab has been doing great and the game against ATL might be the catalyst that is going to get him great again!!! I like the MAGA ..nobody is whitewashing his past but stayingnpositive and hes doing good now …but JOE is constantly negative…i bet we make the SB watch!! GO BUCS!! ON TO DETRIOT

  22. adam from ny Says:

    so like yeahhh…

if TB runs for president in 2024…

AB will be his running mate ???

    it that the ticket

    🙂 🙁
