TheSucksBuc – difference between this year and last year? Kicker not losing two games (gets the Bucs to 9-7) and the refs screwing over the Bucs in Tennessee (gets the Bucs to 10-6). Also not losing your two pro-bowl WRs and needing to start a player who is the Ryan Smith of the offense in J Watson.
But Winfield has been great, has steadied the defense – he’s by far the biggest addition on defense.
Oh, and adding literally the greatest QB of all time to the offense has helped.
I thought they’d be 11-5 with Winston returning as QBs ALWAYS do dramatically better with Arians in year 2, but I thought Brady would pay huge dividends late in the year and in the playoffs, which is why I was for signing him. I figured it would take him a while to adjust to the offense, or at least for Arians to adjust to Brady – and that happened, but Brady has shown a much better arm than I figured we’d get.
The defense has still been bad against good teams, but is good enough to shut down bad offenses. That matters if you’re playing the Redskins in the playoffs.

Rod Munch never wants to admit his hero Winston racked up so many of those 5,000+ yards and 33 TDs because they NEVER pulled him out of games, even when we were trailing by 3 TDs late in the 4th.
Winston’s stats have always been inflated. So many long drives and late TDs against prevent defenses and 2nd stringers when games were already over yet Winston was still firing away.
