Bad Bucs Body Language And “Rooting For A.B.”

December 4th, 2020

A guy who knows Bruce Arians and Antonio Brown opens up.

A guy who played for Bucco Bruce Arians and with furniture- and bicycle-hurling Antonio Brown weighed in this week on his former teammate and coach.

Ramon Foster was an undrafted anchor of the Steelers’ offensive line for over a decade and was just as impressive on his Pittsburgh radio show through the years.

Visiting CBS Sports Radio this week, Foster opened a window into Steelers history and didn’t heap a ton of blame on Brown for his 2018 meltdown with the Steelers just before the playoffs.

Foster put his finger on “lack of communication” between Brown and Ben Roethlisberger.

“To say there was bad blood, I don’t feel like it was bad blood,” Foster said. “I feel like it was just really misunderstandings.

“You know it’s like when you know the air is thick but you never address an issue or you never say, ‘Hey, it’s my bad,’ or, ‘That’s on me,’ I feel like that’s what kind of happened at the end of it. Of course, I talk to Ben still. A.B. and I communicate here, and I’m rooting for AB. I was one of the first ones beating on the drum for him this year, and saying ‘A.B. is going to get signed’. You know he can play, and I really hope they find a way for him to get involved more in that offense in Tampa right now.”

Foster went on to say he thinks the Bucs’ body language is bad but it can be cleaned up. He also thinks the Bucs need to pick a bellcow receiver, preferably Brown, and feed the guy rather than spreading it around so much. He also thinks the Bucs need to throw less and cater more to Brady.

Perhaps it will take a postseason sitdown review with Brady and Arians to get the Bucs’ offense where it needs to be, Foster suggested.

It’s Friday’s all new Ira Kaufman Podcast, presented by Bill Currie Ford. Enjoy!

So we read about what what an implied law breaking, socially inept guy Brady is, but the moniker for Brown seems to be missing about a mile worth of things. Furniture tossing is not even cute, Joe, given he *allegedly* almost hit a young child in his tirade. Do you KNOW he tossed that bike and broke the camera? Hmmm….his trainer and what is out there now. Naw, I’d lose all that BS and call him just “AB” for now. There is no affection for this dirtbag. Anywhere.

  2. Roy T. Buford Says:

Yeah, let’s make Brown the bellcow over Evans and Godwin. Gronk and Brate are garbage too. Makes sense, right? Stop spreading the ball around. That’s just dumb. Go to the one-year hire with a sordid history that may be living somewhere else soon…let’s give him a chance, right?

I’m sure if AOC started offering sports opinions, Joe would be fair enough to cover the stupid things she says too.

Kudos. And a good Friday laugh. Out.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Feature the open receiver……whoever that is……even Brady caught one of his own passes…(only one open on that play)

  4. DB55 Says:

    Tbbf

He caught it and threw it again and they gave him the completion. There is an nfl rule book and then the Brady rule book. Two totally different things.

A workhorse wr? His name is Godwin. This is why you can’t take most of these media guys seriously, they don’t know anything about certain teams.

  5. BFFL Says:

More 1-2 and less 1-1 grouping

  6. Of course Says:

If this experiment doesn’t end a super bowl next year (not happening this year)
    Where are the Bucs?

A complete rebuild? The high priced players will be gone. Evans will be getting up there in age. Lavonte older as well. Arians will be gone. We have no replacement QB as of now.

Will be at the bottom of the barrel rebuilding the team AGAIN?

    Scary future

  7. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Of course,

Whether we win the Super Bowl this year or next, or this year and next, or not at all a Reckoning is coming. We all know that, of course.

  8. Buxszntkt Says:

LOL, what a knucklehead! So his last two sentences, we need to feed the ball more to one WR, preferably AB AND cater to Brady’s preferences more ? Hello knucklehead !!! Brady’s preference has always been to spread the ball around so he contradicts his own point. Watch some Patriots games Douc-e!

OK so it is not the email account. It is the IP address or …………..something nefarious.

  11. Defense Rules Says:

“He also thinks the Bucs need to throw less and cater more to Brady.”

I don’t get it. I thought BA told us that Brady is calling his own plays. So Foster wants Brady to cater more to Brady? None of this is making any sense. But to me the only thing that matters is PERFORMANCE ON THE FIELD. Right now it sucks. SOMEBODY take some ACCOUNTABILITY and FIX IT.

  12. Cajun 69 Says:

Don’t count these guys out I seen Brady and Gronk and AB do amazing stuff we got them plus Evens, Godwin, And a lot of talent on D fence if the O line can figure out how to stop them from. Burning threw them huge Brady a half a second more protect Brady long enough to make plays. Its key. They got to pick a work horse. And play some shoot and runn shoot snd Run its what Brady is a master of. So boys a d girls this season aint Over buy a long shot have a little faith

  13. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Cajun

I’m with you. I haven’t counted them out. They have three losses against the two best teams in the league. The Bucs have not played at Super Bowl level that’s for sure….YET..

A couple of weeks off to tighten up all the loose ends…the guys could be poised to realize their potential at just the right time.

  14. Mikadeemas Says:

Dang Cajun! Can I come hang!? Happy Friday, Bro! GO BUCS!!

  15. CalBucsFan Says:

So many “best receivers” on this team, every pundit has their opinion on who should be the #1. I don’t give a crap about what JB has done in the past, I KNOW what Evans, Godwin, Brate and all the rest of the Bucs receivers BEFORE both Brady, Gronk and AB came to town, and they should be enough!

At least Gronk was here for game 1, but it sure seems like the offense has been out of sync ever since JB arrived, so maybe there are TOO many targets now?

  16. Joan Says:

Tell that coach to use gronk more to go out for passes. Any time Brady throws it anywhere near him he catches it. Its stupid to keep using gronk as a blocker!!

  17. JoAnn Bemer Says:

that coach needs to have gronk go out for a lot more passes. Anytime Brady throws the ball anywhere near him he’s gonna catch it. It stupid to to keep using him as a blocker. What a waste

  18. Rob Tanner Says:

I remember last year it was “every QB in the first season in Arians system throws a ton of picks. I thought Tom Brady is the Bucs QB, am I missing something? Isn’t this what we were told during Jameis season with him?

  19. Lakelandsteve Says:

The last thing we need to do is make AB the featured receiver when we have Evans, Godwin and Gronk. AB may not even be here in a couple of weeks for all we know the NFL will suspend him again. Besides, we seemed to be doing much better before AB joined our team. Scotty Miller is much more valuable than AB on this offense. Scotty on the field is always a deep ball threat that the defense has to account for. I for one won’t cry if AB leaves, I think it’s addition by subtraction.

  20. Issac haggins Says:

I can say without a doubt in my mind Brown has lost a half step but I hope it’s scheme rust but I don’t think it is !! I have never seen him covered by the # 3 within a half yard 10 different times in his hole career ……….. I have clearly seen that !!! He looks sharp but just not fast !!

  21. Chris Powell Says:

Foster is, And always had been a Racist Clown!

  22. David Landis Says:

As anyone knows how the Bucs have lost San Antonio Brown’s diet stop throwing the ball Scotty Miller by Kevin’s Chris Godwin is it enough

  23. Trey Long Says:

Running game, play action and passing to slots and running backs out of the backfield opens up the deep throw. Offensive game plan has been garbage lately.
